Honey Bunnies sent a photo from Cleveland, Texas.

Jeffrey Adelsberger emailed: "Marc, Thanks for the great music. I've made working through your archive part of my morning routine and thought I should add a little more support."

Matt Norton emailed: "Hey Marc, I love the show! I was using it as a commute companion and now I listen as I tinker while staying home.

I know it is not the primary focus of your show but I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of more Celtic Electronic fusion groups, especially those that may be more rare. For Example, ....Going out on a limb here... do you know of any bands similar to Niteworks and Sketch? Both of these groups have captivated me, especially with their use of Gaelic. I am really just looking for any groups that sing in Irish or Scots Gaelic with a Celtic soul and an electronic touch.

No worries if no others come to mind. I am sure that I will eventually hear them on the show. Thank you so much in advance for any reply. Keep up the great work! Stay healthy!"

James Martin emailed: "Hey Marc, just listening to the last podcast while I'm camping. Sent a message to Facebook but got the auto-reply you don't check it often. ??

A long while back, I emailed [Loreena McKennit] address on her site and asked how she classified her music. I got a response back that said she considered it "Eclectic Celtic". I always thought that sounded neat and thought I'd pass it along!"

Jack emailed a photo: "Hi Marc—I've been a fan since you were playing DragonCon in the basement of the Hyatt, and been listening to the podcast since at least Episode 6.

A few years ago I was listening while scanning in 19,000 slides my father had taken over his lifetime, but I finished that.

I live right on the Silver Comet Trail, and now I listen to the podcast while racking up the miles on a bicycle.

There's a photo below, though the speedometer says zero because you don't take a good picture from a moving bicycle.

Thanks for the podcast, and special thanks for the Running Music episode #470. That one upped my speed by about half a mile per hour."

Emanuel Nervo emailed: "Hello Marc, Thank you for your e-mails and invitations. The time I became more aware of celtic music was via Loreena McKennitt. Her music helped me with some emotional stuff when I was an adolescent.

Then I get to know musicians from the netherlands (were I live) and Belgium who played Folk music and Powerfolk... then came the dances and I was hooked for life. although I dance less then I would like and should do either :)

I've been friends with a singer-song writer Peter Habets for a long time. His Powerfolk band was called Matzko. They played their own written music but also some irish music.

I enjoy your podcast. Most of the music is unknown for me and some are obviously known. I don't have a particular band that I like. For sure i Like bands such as The Dubliners, Clannad, the chieftains. there are of course non-irish bands that I like too that are made and played by Folk bands.

I have been to the festival Castlefest several times (keukenhof, Lisse, Netherlands) and there are such lovely bands there too.

Kind regards from Heeze, Netherlands (NB)"

Emanuel Nervo emailed: "Hi Marc, Thank you for the update mails. It has been a while for me to listen to your podcast. A lot of things happened and got distracted. Normally I listen to your show via podcast when doing graphic and web design work on the computer. It keeps me upbeat and chilled. Noe I look forward to catch up.

Virtual hugs to you and other listeners in this crazy time.

    greetings from the Netherlands."

Michael Cornett emailed a photo: "Hi Marc; I just wanted to say thanks for the show; I've been listening for years and now more than ever it's a source of joy for me. If the current times weren't crazy enough, I was laid off from my job last week so I'm not only dealing with avoiding the virus but also trying to find a new job. The music you play has been part of my "keep sane" program.

I also want to thank you for promoting music by women and other minorities. As a gay man who's more comfortable at a pub or ceili than a dance club, that means so much to me. I'm looking forward to your queer music special!

Attached is a photo of myself, listening while I take a walk outside, getting what exercise I can.

    Again, thank you."

Ginnie Vigansky emailed: "Dear Marc, First, let me say how grateful I am for your podcast and how much I appreciate your passion for Celtic music and your desire to help this wonderful community. I have not had the opportunity to download any special downloads yet, for now I'm just happy to be part of this wonderful community you are building.

I hope you will indulge me while I share my history of your podcast with you.

I have always been drawn to Celtic music for whatever reason and have always enjoyed finding new Celtic artists. In the early 2000s while at university I discovered a Celtic music show on our local public radio and quickly became a regular listener. I listened for many years and it became part of my Sunday morning tradition.

Shortly after meeting a very special man (who eventually became my husband) in 2013 the radio station changed the time slot of the Celtic music show and it was no longer convenient to listen to. My husband, knowing how much this music meant to me, started to look for other ways to continue this Sunday morning tradition and several years ago he discovered your podcast, and we've been listening ever since.

I really appreciate the variety of music you play and it has been nice to hear some artists I was familiar with before finding your show; like Heather Dale, Elixir and the Gothard Sisters...and I've so enjoyed learning about so many new artists.

After about a six week break from listening I started to listen again and find myself again grateful for your hard work to make this show happen. My husband died unexpectedly at the end of May and listening to your show again while making Sunday breakfast brings back many fond memories of my Sunday mornings with the most remarkable man I've ever known. Thank you for helping me continue this wonderful tradition, although now tinged with some sadness, it is also full of wonderful memories.

I've been meaning to subscribe to the podcast for some time and finally did so today. I would like to make my support for the show in honor of my wonderful husband and partner, Paul Vigansky.

Thank you so much for all you do. With warmest gratitude, Ginnie L. Vigansky"

Matthew McKnight emailed a correction: "Gday, I love your podcast. I have only recently discovered it as I get my head wrapped around ever evolving technologies.

I have Celtic ancestry, grew up in Australia, and feel so connected with my heritage when i listen to your show. I like the Celtic Rain track in your latest podcast and discovered a typo/problem with the link to their website.

The link address should be celticrainmusic.com. Hope this helps in the future."

Jeremy Graves emailed "Hi, Marc! I've been listening to your show for just a few weeks, but I really love it! I started listening to stay awake while feeding my now three-month-old late at night; my wife and I take shifts. As a linguist working with an indigenous group in Mexico, I really enjoy songs sung in the Celtic languages, and would love to hear more on the show! Thanks for your work! (PS I bought a Stonecircle album today, which I first heard on the podcast)."

Charlton Allen asked: "What is indie Celtic?"

Brooks Smith emailed on Patreon: "Hi Mark, Thanks for all the work you to do running this podcast! I don't really have any Irish heritage, but I discovered Celtic music when a friend dragged me to a contra dance in Vermont with the band Crowfoot several years ago. I love the genre, and your podcast is a great way to keep up with some of the new music that comes out. I typically listen while working during the day (I'm a structural engineer in Melbourne, Australia), and I'll have Spotify open as I do, marking songs as favourites on there as they catch my ear. I'll usually later on go listen to the rest of an artist's catalogue if I've favourited something by them. I've found a few new favourite artists that way - West of Eden, Heather Dale, Childsplay, Skipinnish.

Anyway, I'm gradually working my way through your back catalogue of episodes, but one sub-group I've not heard much of yet is Cape Breton artists: Barra MacNeils, Rawlins Cross, Rankin Family, Ashley MacIsaac, and Natalie MacMaster are some of my other favourite Celtic bands! Cheers!"

Patricia emailed: "Hi Marc, I am not on Facebook so I hope this email gets to you.

I just discovered your Irish and Celtic Music Podcast and I just love it! It has been helping me get through these stressful times, so thank you for that. I don't know how I've only now discovered your podcast -- I must have been living under a rock.

The running joke among my friends and family is that I am Irish ... because I am obsessed with Irish history, music and culture. I've also developed an interest in all things Scottish, so still have a lot to learn there. Anyway, long story short ... I always love listening to Celtic music but only knew a few songs and artists. This podcast has introduced me to new songs and artists, hearing that wonderful music and stories in those songs that I've never heard before.

Anyway, I hope you and yours are doing well during this crazy time. Please keep on bringing us the music!"

Stephen & Kyra Reimann emailed photos: :Hi Marc, My 13-year-old daughter, Kyra (K-ear-rah), and I spent our Saturday on a father/daughter woodworking project. Kyra is an avid volleyball player. So at her request, I tried my hand at building an adjustable volleyball rebound board for her to practice her volleyball drills on. Just so you know I'm not a carpenter by any means and all I had to go on was a two minute YouTube video that didn't include any blueprints.

It was imperative that we find the exact right music to lift our spirits and set this project off on the right foot. Episode 457 was the exact right choice. There was a point during one of the songs where I broke out in dance while Kyra had to hold the wood perfectly still. She criticized me, not for my dancing, but because she wanted to dance instead of holding that piece of lumber perfectly still. We even listened to the episode twice while building our project. It may have taken us four hours to complete, but we had great tunes along the way

Enclosed are two pics of us with the finished project. Thank you for being a part of this great father/daughter memory in the making.

    Go raibh maith agat,"

    Pronunciation: Guh ruh mah a-gut

David Tan Creti emailed a photo: "Marc, great to hear Highland Life. I checked my Aberdeen-Angus bull named "Bovis". Perhaps the Podcast made him homesick for the Highlands. But here in Iowa, he has plentiful hay and heifers to look after. His Scotts breeding means he has not horns and a fine coat suited for the Iowa winters. Best Wishes"

I've taken up running the last few weeks. As I was running through some trails listening to the podcast, I realized it's been a while since I did a workout episode of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. So I thought I'd remedy that right now.

Once again, this will be non-stop music. And it speeds up through the show before slowing down at the end. Like I did in show #277, our last workout show, I will share the band names and tracks at the end of the show along with a cool down track.

Make sure you check out the shownotes. I list timestamps for all of the songs in the show. So if you want to find out the awesome band at show time 10:32, you will find that in the notes at celticmusicpodcast.com.

Anthony Young emailed: "Marc, Thanks for the lovely e-mails. I've been listening to your podcast for a couple weeks now, and I'm loving it! Also, thanks for the mp3s, they downloaded perfectly!

I honestly don't know that many Celtic music artists. That's the main reason I subscribed to the podcast, to find more artists. I do enjoy Celtic music, but don't know too much about it. From what I've heard so far, your podcasts are super informative, and I love getting to hear all this music! If I had to choose a Celtic artist, I'd probably say either Celtic Woman or Loreena McKennitt, though I'm not sure if the latter is technically considered Celtic. Either way, this podcast is a great way to expand my growing interest in the music of Ireland. Thank you for giving me this opportunity! Sláinte!"

David Strei emailed photos: "Marc, Been listening to your podcast since it started. Some of my favorite artists include the Gothard Sisters, Celtic Squall, the Rogues, and a lot of your music. Today I'm carving spoons while listening to your podcast. Attached is a picture of a spoon in progress and several that are complete."

Senachie Cummings emailed a photo: "Hi Marc, I am a patron and have been a devoted fan for many years. Currently, I mostly listen to your podcast while I am doing cooking projects. I usually prepare some food items to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but did not this year due to the novel coronavirus, so here is a photo of the dessert that I served for St. Patrick's Day in 2019. It is supposed to look like pints of Guinness but is actually Guinness Chocolate Cake with Baileys Cream Cheese Frosting. I baked the cake directly in the pint glasses. Thanks again for all your efforts. Keep up the great work and stay safe!"

Kate Maver emailed a photo: "I am moving in the middle of all this pandemic craziness. So, I turn on your podcast while I'm packing, and listen to one episode after another. I've spent a lot of time in Ireland and Scotland, and your podcast brings me right back to Doolin, and Galway, and Glasgow and Edinburgh! So relaxing! Thanks for keeping me company."

Jesse Bethea emailed: "Hi Marc, I'm so thankful for the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. I'm struggling to write and revise my first novel, and the music you choose for this podcast always helps me with my work. Thank you and sláinte."

Fabio Fiorelli emailed: "Dear Mark,I just listened to your podcast about Celtic groups in Italy. I have been living in the UK for 11 years by now, but Florence is my hometown, and there is a great group from there I used to listen to when I was still living with my parents.

They are called Whisky Trail, they play both traditional songs and tradition-inspired new ones, and have been active for over 30 years! One of them is a historian, and he popularized the history of San Frediano, one of the most important patron saints of the city, who turned out to have been Irish (his name was Frigidianus, something related to the fact that he came from a cold country, more info here) and who is well known across Tuscany as well.

Unfortunately their website is not well updated, so I don't know if their email is still active, but I know the group definitely is (they have played several concerts in 2019) and I wish to honor their love for irish and celtic music. I will suggest them to contact you, but if you want to do it personally they have an active facebook page with the same name."
