A simple glance in the newspaper will tell you that stocks and shares are the lifeblood of the financial institutions of the world. Fortunes are made and lost on the whims of the market. For some, the stock market is the quickest way to make money, but what are the pitfalls to look out for? And how can you tell when stock prices are at an all-time high?

In this week’s show, we talk about the risks and potential benefits of rolling the dice on the stock market, and use the now defunct Boo.com as an example.

I’ve grown more in the last few years because I’ve invested in myself. The more you learn the more you earn, every time I’ve been on a course, listened to a podcast, read a book I’ve learnt more and this has led to me earning more.

Education is geared towards creating professions and jobs, not entrepreneurship, enterprise, innovation and becoming wealthy.

If you want to create your own business and take over the world being innovative then the education system may not be for you.

Lots of people are looking at what they get paid and then doing the minimum to get that pay it is not an enterprising or entrepreneurial mindset.

Starting over

If I had to start again I would start earlier, I would probably do similar things – training and property because I enjoy them so much.

I’d invest in property and get into a low overhead high margin business with a business partner who I could leverage my skills against.

I would look to leverage social media more, building a personal brand and following

when you have a loyal following it doesn’t matter so much what the product or service is.

There are huge entrepreneurial opportunities around climate change. If you are able to bring a solution you could become very rich very quickly and be making a significant change for good.
