Activision Blizzard President and COO, Daniel Alegre, made it clear in a recent interview that the company will be investing heavily in mobile gaming for both existing and new franchises. Activision as the owner of King Entertainment and Candy Crush Saga is no stranger to the mobile market but the idea of transforming all of their generally thought of as core game franchises into mobile games might anger more than a few fans. At the last Blizzcon an announcement for Diablo Immortal, a mobile game, was infamously received by Blizzard’s most devoted fans with boos and heckling. In addition to the mobile market, it appears Blizzard will be making a stronger play to market its games overseas in Asia and specifically China. Of course, a hit on mobile in China would generate massive revenue for the company but will this new focus affect Activision Blizzard’s core franchises negatively? Another lead has left Halo Infinite as it drifts through game development space without a confirmed release date. Studio Head of Halo Infinite Chris Lee is officially out and of course, that’s not a great sign considering the game is still in development. In addition, if rumors are to be believed Halo Infinite is in a spot of trouble due to the rough fan reactions 343 faced over the summer. The first gameplay reveal left a lot to be desired according to some and even inspired the meme for our favorite unamused grunt, Craig. This isn’t the first leadership shake up at 343 since Halo’s development either. Is Cyberpunk 2077 okay? Oct 29, 2020

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again! Of course you already knew that, but what does this newest delay indicate about the current state of Cyberpunk 2077 and what will the state of the game be when it’s finally released? Another question fans in grief have been asking is, “why? how could this happen...again?” and maybe it's a fair question considering the game has officially been delayed three times now. The cherry on top of this big old mess is that it again raises concerns of crunch within the industry. A flood of first impressions for the new PS5 controller are in! Reviewers have had their hands on the PS5 for about a week now and a new embargo lifted today allowing them to talk about the PS5’s new DualSense controller.

We have had haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a little while now but reports are saying the new PS5 controller is very impressive. The different types of rumble are actually providing different sensations and feelings compared to the PS4 which just generally felt like it ever only had more rumble or less rumble. Trigger tension is also a big highlight in which early reviewers are saying, ““The first time a trigger fights you, you'll believe.”

This is all pretty exciting stuff and of course the new PS5 DualSense controller is also boasting to have twice as much battery life, a heftier feel, and a new more comfortable form factor. It will also be super fun to compare impressions with Xbox Elite 2 controllers and the new Series X controllers.
