I'll Call You Right Back #128 - Celina Pompeani Aug 06, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down with Celina Pompeani. Celina is arguably one of the busiest people working in the city today. If you're not watching her on Pittsburgh Today Live, you can catch her at PPG Paints Arena handling all the IN-ARENA business for our Penguins. After growing up watching the great Bob Pompeani, Celina followed in his footsteps and continues to do great things for the City of Pittsburgh! We talk about the Pens, PTL, growing up with Bob, and so much more. This was a really great episode. I continue to be so thankful for where this podcast has taken me and the opportunities it's given me. Thanks for always listening! Enjoy the episode.

I'll Call You Right Back #127 - Michael Cottle Jul 23, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down with Michael Cottle to talk all about bicycles and beer. Michael is a service tech at Dirty Harry's. He has been around bicycles his entire life. I thought it would be super interesting to hear about the COVID biking craze from someone who is seeing it first hand. We talk about where Michaels love of bikes started, growing up in the racing world, his trip from Florida to Pennsylvania, Dirty Harry's, and his love for beer. When he's not wrenching on your bike, you can find him brewing beer at Allegheny City Brewing. This episode was super cool because this is the first outside episode I have done. We road our bikes and met at the Point and sat and had a great conversation. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #126 - #FreeBritney W/ Antonette Medved Jul 16, 2020

Show notes

We got a special guest in the house!!! This week I sit down with my partner in crime, Antonette Medved, to talk about the #freebritney conspiracy. Supposedly, for the last decade or so, Britney Spears and her entire estate has been under complete control by her father. This story showed up on Facebook last week and after checking it out, I felt like it kinda sounded legit. Antonette's been reading about it all day so in this episode we talk about all the Britney shit. We also talk about that sick wack job, Jeffery Epstein, some other sick shit happening around the elite circles, and about teaching Antonette to shoot a gun for the first time. The world is crazy lately. So much weird shit happening. Regardless, check out the episode. It's a real good one.

I'll Call You Right Back #124 - Bankrupt Bodega Jul 02, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down with Pat Bruener. Pat is involved in so many cool things. He creates dope clothes under his brand Bankrupt Bodega, he develops film at Bodega Film Lab, he throws events in the city, and he takes some fantastic photos. This episode is long overdue. I have seen Pat's name pop up recently due to his work with 412FoodRescue. Pat biked 412 miles to help raise money for their new project called Community Takeout. This was a great conversation and I think you'll enjoy hearing about Pat and all the good he does. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #123 - Good Sports Jun 25, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down with Steve Crump. Steve is 1/2 of the duo that makes up Good Sports. This episode is long overdue and I have to say, I loved every minute. We talk about a life of skateboarding, OneUp Skateshop, vintage, Zeds, and so much more. Steve and Jakes attention to detail with all the pieces they put out is impeccable. The lookbook I'm holding in this picture is the sickest lookbook I've ever seen. They are dropping a new capsule titled '2002' that will release online and at Zeds on Friday. Get ready. I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #122 - Badamo's Pizza Jun 18, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down with my first guest in 11 weeks. Anthony Badamo is the owner of Badamo's Pizza. In my opinion, I think Badamo's traditional slice is the best slice in the city of Pittsburgh. I was put on to Anthony's pizza late in life. This week, we sit down in the Mt. Lebo location and I learn all about how he got to where he is today. We talk about life before pizza, what made him want to own a shop of his own, how he developed his recipe, and everything else along the way. I loved talking with Anthony. It was a great conversation to get back into the swing of things for the podcast. While we were talking, there were about 6 people who tried to come in to buy slices and the phone didn't stop ringing. People love Badamo's Pizza and I can't blame them. I hope you enjoy the episode. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #121 - Let me fly free! Jun 11, 2020

Show notes

So I guess life is just back on? I have been riding my bike a lot lately and everything seems to be back to normal. It's eerie I feel. With all the things happening in the world I kind of forget there's this crazy virus turning the world on it's head still. Or is it? I just ride around the city and people are back eating in restaurants and at the gym. I was even stuck in traffic for the first time in months. It's makes me wonder if there will be a "second wave." This week I'm going to start to button up this quarantine schedule and start to get back to guests. We're going to talk about the virus, my feelings in the beginning, what I'm feeling now, my first time back to a restaurant in 3 months, wrecking on my bike, and some more. I hope you dig. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #120 - Current Events Jun 04, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down and talk about whats going on in the world today. Theres a lot of crazy stuff going on and I felt it was important to take some time to talk about it. I talk about George Floyd, the protests around the world and my thoughts on them, never voting before and why I decided to start, and more. I just felt like me doing an episode on something random wouldn't be right in a time like this. I know people probably don't care about my views being a white male in America but I felt it was important. Thanks for listening. Lets be better to each other.

I'll Call You Right Back #119 - My Favorite Movies May 28, 2020

Show notes

This week, I sit down and sort out my favorite movies of all time. I tried my very best to choose my Top 10 of ALL TIME and let me just be the first to say, it was so damn hard. I talk a little bit about how I got into movies, nostalgic movies from my childhood, some top movies of the last few decades, and the list of 'Must See' movies that I have never took the time to watch. I love watching things and I love talking about movies. This is one of the most requested episodes so I hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much for listening each week. Enjoy the episode!
