I couldn't be more thankful for all the support I've gotten over the years. I didn't know where this podcast would take itself but I feel like I'm going in the right direction. I have met some great people doing this and in this episode I have a phone call with each of the owners of my Favorite Small Businesses that are dealing with this Lockdown and the other unforeseen circumstances of this pandemic. I think its really important to patronize small businesses in our city so I wanted to try spotlight the people in the city that I love most. These places are spots that I truly believe in and stand behind. I go to these spots in my daily life and everything each of them offer is top tier. Up until about 7 or 8 years ago, I felt like all you would hear during December was "Merry Christmas." That was the norm. It was in tv and movies, in schools, and in stores. Everything was focused around Christmas. I knew December meant Christmas and that's all I was focused on. Somewhat recently, those "Merry Christmas" greetings you'd see everywhere changed to "Happy Holidays" and other religions and traditions were beginning to be recognized and included in the celebrations happening around me and that's when I started to realize that Christmas wasn't the only thing happening during that time. That's where my curiosity began. I wanted to learn about the other celebrations happening that were being overlooked from my point of view. - This week, I sit down with Rabbi Jeremy Markiz to talk all about Judaism. In this episode, Jeremy and I have an amazing conversation all about Jewish Tradition. At first, I wanted this conversation to be focused on Hanukkah. I just assumed Hanukkah held the same importance that Christmas did with me. Then I realized that Hanukkah was only a small part of the story of Judaism so Jeremy and I went deep into the world of Judaism and Jewish Tradition. We talked about more than I can type in these couple of paragraph's and it was fascinating. This whole episode is a look into a world that you might not know anything about. It's interesting, informative, and an all around great conversation. I hope you listen and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This week, I sit down with Colin and Evan Frye of @silverhorsecoffee shop and @standingwavecoffee roasters. Colin and Evan are two brothers who grew up in the mountains of Acme, Pa near Seven Springs and now own a really great coffee shop and roastery in the area. This week, we talk all about coffee, the correct way to do a 'pour over,' the process of sourcing their beans, and how they decided to open their own shop and roastery. My wife and I were driving home a few years ago and saw their shop about a mile off of the Donegal Exit. We stopped once and we were hooked. Now anytime we're in the area we make it a point to stop by and support these guys anyway we can. They have a great selection of coffee, baked goods, food, and local products available for purchase. Zach is one of the guitarists for Like Moths To Flames. He was my first guest on the podcast, and then he was my 50th guest. The first time Zach and I talked, it was all about growing up in music, driving to go see LMTF, and how he went from being a fan in the audience to becoming a member of the band and ripping on stage with the rest of them. Both of those episodes are great and they build the story of his journey up until now. - This week, we pick up right where we left off and we talk about the new LMTF album 'No Eternity in Gold.' We talk about what went into recording, COVID problems, the process behind the writing, their stay at Think Loud Studios, and everything else along the way. He's gone from being a scare actor, to one of their SPFX artists, to handling all the actor management. We talk about how Hundred Acres started, what the process is each year to try and create new scares, the strategy behind scaring, the audition process for becoming a scare actor, the maintenance and training, and so much more.
