Show notes

So, if you like the Las Vegas Raiders, how do you feel about Jon Gruden making all the calls? I mean, it's not like you've been on the cusp of the Super Bowl the past few years. It's not even like your team is tearing it up. Hey, Mark Davis, why don't you let Gruden coach and Mike Mayock choose the players? Let me tell it like I see it on today's podcast.

Grant's Rant: 3-10-21 Meghan Markle, Prince Harry or the Players Championship? Mar 10, 2021

Show notes

What is it with this Royal couple garbage? It's everywhere. Front page of everything I'm looking at. Who the hell cares? Isn't there something we could be doing productively? Enough already. I hate it. The Players Championship can't start soon enough. I'm recording it so I don't have to see any more of the Royal yahoos being interviewed by some other yahoo asking the same questions as every other yahoo. And then I'll watch re-runs of the Players Championship until it's safe to turn on my computer or TV again. I have some perspective on this in today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 3-9-21 How much is Dak Prescott really worth in your mind? Or mine. Mar 09, 2021

Show notes

Oh boy, is this a doozie. $160M for Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys. And he's not even going to have to move. Stays right where he was. Number two salary for a quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes. Worth it? By what gauge? What do you think? Let's take a few minutes to talk about it. As always, you'll want to hear what I have to say.

Grant's Rant: 3-8-21 LeBron James NBA All Star Game interview reveals a huge secret... Mar 08, 2021

Show notes

So we've seen a couple of stars go down just before the big NBA All Star game for getting haircuts from a stylist that was Covid positive. Too bad for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. They're out. Not even in the stadium but it's what LeBron James of the LA Lakers had to say about getting the vaccine that blew me away. His comments about the Covid-19 vaccination are the topic of today's rant. This one is beyond my comprehension

Grant's Rant: 3-6-21 Making millions and wanting out. Mar 06, 2021

Show notes

James Harden, DeShaun Watson, J.J. Watt, and now Russell Wilson. All multi-millionaires and wanting out of their respective teams and cities. What's wrong with pro-sports today? The world is in crisis and sports are one place a fan can go for some pleasure but these guys apparently could care less about the city, the team, the contract and worst of all, the fans. It's a maddening, saddening path things seem to be headed down in professional sports today.

Just remember another team with one of the best records in the west, the Phoenix Suns . And let's also not forget, be careful what you wish for. Need I say more? The answer is yes and I will on today's rant.

Grant's Rant: 3-4-21 Harden to Houston...you don't love me anymore? Mar 04, 2021

Show notes

Not now James. Not yet. That was one ugly divorce you put on for the city you expect to respond "lovingly". It's not like you consummated the marriage with a championship or anything. As a matter of fact, you actually changed the vows and said "I don't." "I'm gone." "Bye, bye." Breaking up is hard to do, right? Work on your new love in New York. So far, you've been making a good impression.

Grant's Rant: 3-3-21 Rick Carlisle seems to have forgotten what caused Lloyd Pierce's termination. Mar 03, 2021

Show notes

So Lloyd Pierce is now former coach of the Atlanta Hawks. And Rick Carlisle, coach of the Dallas Mavericks tells us he's a great Democrat. Who the hell cares about that? He's a coach, not a politician! His record and his relationship with his players is what got him fired. Yet Rick goes on to say this...“Georgia, in very large part because of Lloyd’s work and commitment, went from being a traditional Republican state to a Democratic state – not only in the electoral college vote in the presidential election, but also in the runoff elections in January, which has massively changed the landscape of our country,” Are you effing kidding me? What is going on here? I'll tell you what. In today's rant.
