***This episode contains spoilers for Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio***
Claira and I were amped to discuss GDT's latest film and why it's quite possibly the greatest iteration of the Pinocchio story to exist.
In the second half of the podcast, Claira and I played Flop or Bop for 2023 Animated movies. Will the Super Mario Movie be a Flop or Bop? What about Disney's Wish? Elemental? We discussed and gave our thoughts on all the big upcoming releases!

Now that The Fabelmans has officially had a wide release (and even though its flopping), it's finally time to talk about Steven Spielberg.
I am joined by long time friend of the podcast, Nate Spencer, as we embark on the very intimidating challenge of placing each Spielberg film in a Tier (Tier F- Tier S). Some are easy to assign like Jaws and The BFG. Others... were a little difficult.
And of course we gave our thoughts on The Fabelman's and how it fits in the Spielberg filmography.

It's been a long time coming and it has finally arrived. After binging all 5 movies, I finally felt ready to discuss the entire Twilight franchise with Claira, the Twilight expert.
Here's some important things we discussed:
- In defense of Jacob Black
- Renesmee: worst name ever?
- ranking the Twilight movies
- ranking the Twilight movies by sexiness
and a lot more!

If there is one thing Claira and I will always love it's the wonderful medium of animation and stop motion in particular tends to give us some of our favorite movies.
First we discussed the newest Henry Selick film, Wendell & Wild and provide our spoiler free review.
Then we did our best to decide which stop motion films would make it onto the Mount Rushmore of Stop Motion Animation. Which, spoilers, was incredibly difficult.

Halloween has officially ended...or has it? The discourse surrounding this movie has been intense, so Sydney and I offer our thoughts on whether it was a satisfactory conclusion to the Laurie Strode Saga.
After our discussion, we also attempted to determine which villains from horror history would make it onto the Mount Rushmore of Horror Villains. While we wont make everyone happy with our choices, I still think we did a good job!

We are back! Apologize for the short absence in episodes, I was traveling and then had a computer issues, but all is returning to normal. The world is healing.
To celebrate spooky season, Claira and I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of choosing our 5 favorite horror movies, which maybe we'll do in the future, we wanted to expand our knowledge and talk about 5 horror movies we love that have a negative score on Rotten Tomatoes!
We might be movie snobs sometimes, but we like to have fun as well!

While Claira and I may watch a lot of movies, believe it or not we also watch some television! (Claira more than me).
Before Awards Season is fully underway, we talked briefly about the two most popular fantasy shows on television right now and what we have loved and expect from them in the future!
We then discussed our 5 favorite fantasy movies but with a catch! We had to choose 1 movie from the following category
90s fantasy
2000s fantasy
2010s fantasy
International fantasy
Animated fantasy

When July ended, Sydney and I were mostly optimistic about the August movie releases. But as August came to an end, it turns out the month was mostly a dud. A few good movies that were surrounded by a lot of mediocre ones.
In this episode, we discussed 18 of the new movies released in August and let you know which ones are worth watching.
(sorry in advance for cricket noises towards the end, California is in the middle of a heatwave)
