The 90s. The time of Nirvana, Seinfeld, and the Furby.
But aside from all those fantastic things (yes even the Furby), it is a decade filled with some of cinema's most essential and exciting films.
In this episode, I am joined by the very knowledgeable and first-time guest, Bobbi, host of The Afternoon Special. We discussed shows and music of the 90s, the era of Nickelodeon and Disney, and then attempted the impossible- ranked our 5 favorite movies of 1999. A year that some may assert is the best movie year ever.

It's well known that Claira and I are massive fans of the animation medium. It is also a well-known fact that Claira and I don't have lives.
Between the two of us, we have seen 19 of 2022's animated movie releases. Crazy right?
In this episode we:
- discussed each one and let you know if its worth streaming/watching
- which ones have the best chance of getting an Oscar nom
- our 4 favorite

Nope has landed! Jordan Peele's third feature film, but does it live up to the hype? Claira and I discussed our initial *spoiler-free* reactions to the movie and where it lands in the Peele filmography.
Then in the second half of the podcast, we discussed our 5 favorite alien invasion movies. The keyword is "invasion" which automatically disqualifies all of the Alien movies (and also we didn't count E.T.)
Thanks to everyone who has been listening and be sure to drop a review and rating!

It is finally here! After weeks of discussing it, Claira and I have finally embarked on what feels like an impossible quest.

In this episode we discussed:
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Castle in the Sky
Grave of the Fireflies
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Only Yester

Pom Poko
Whisper of the Heart

We are officially halfway through 2022, which has been a roller coaster of a year in the world of film. While we have received some genre-defining movies, we also have had our fair share of not-so-great movies.
In this episode, I am joined by fellow film connoisseur Sydney to discuss our top movies in 2022 thus far. While I am sure you expect an extensive conversation about The Bubble and Morbius, sadly, they were too good even for our lists.

After many months of teasing a discussion about arguably the best movie of the year, Claira and I are finally getting a chance to discuss the greatness that is Everything Everywhere All At Once.
Why does it work? Where it will land in movie history? Oscar Odds?
And then we attempt the impossible, listing out the Top 5 A24 movies. Some choices are obvious, others may surprise you!

Top Gun: Maverick is here and let's just say, we are very excited to talk about it. I am joined by long-time friend and guest of the podcast, Nate Spencer, to discuss if Top Gun: Maverick lives up to expectations and what it means for future blockbusters.
In the second half of the episode, we discussed the 5 best Tom Cruise performances. Obviously, number 1 and 2 will go to Les Grossman in Tropic Thunder and Cruise's performance in Austin Powers.

May is unofficially Star Wars month and with the upcoming release of Kenobi, what better time than to rank the Top 5 Star Wars projects?
It just so happens that among Claira's vast knowledge of all things film, they are also a Star Wars enthusiast, putting my knowledge to shame. Nonetheless, we both ranked our 5 favorite Star Wars projects- movies or shows were up for grabs, but not books since there are over 300 of them.
