    29. Your Value is Not in Your Work Jun 03, 2024

It's easier to say than actually believe, right?
But it's true. No matter how talented you are, how many hours you work, or how many people show up to your small group, your value isn't found in anything you do. And the sooner you start focusing on Christ's work in you, the sooner you can stop striving to perform and start enjoying the calling God has given you.
If you know someone who could benefit from this conversation, would you send it to them? Let's constantly be reminding one another where our value comes from.

    28. What's the Point of Missions? with Kenni Cavalier May 28, 2024
    Show notes

The simple, accurate answer is the Great Commission! But in today's episode, we dig a little deeper to why and how we equip students to live on mission. This conversation is so important in setting the foundation for what kind of mission opportunities we plan, how to equip parents to join in, and how we prepare our own hearts as we take students on mission.
You're going to love our guest, Kenni Cavalier, and hearing her story! She is on staff at Long Hollow Church, serving the Family Ministry as the Missions Coordinator for kids, students, and parents.

    27. When It's Not All Fun & Games May 20, 2024

When you obey God's calling and sign on as a ministry leader, it's easy to be naive about the hard stuff that comes with the position. Because while things like camp, dodgeball tournaments, paint wars, and more can be so much fun, the reality of ministry often looks like sacrifice.
So what do we do when our jobs aren't all fun and games? What do we do when we start questioning our calling or just begin growing weary? How do we hold fast to God's Word and His presence? Let's talk about it together in this episode.

If you haven't had a conversation yet with a parent or a student about gender identity, you will. There are so many situations inside of student ministry that will cause you to know what you believe about gender identity and how you will respond.
In today's episode, we discuss with Aunt P the importance of empathy and relationship. Our hope is this will equip you to be a better ministry leader, as well as encourage your students on how to be a good friend to those who are wrestling with their identity.

Often the first girls minister a teen girl will ever have is a mom. In today's episode, we talk about how we can do a better job at that. So if you know a mom, send this episode to her today and let her know how much she means to you.
We are excited to have author, Missie Branch, on the podcast today! Missie Branch serves as vice president of Community Engagement for Life Collective, Inc. 22. Submission vs. Surrender with Kristi McLelland Apr 15, 2024
    Show notes

    Send us Fan Mail

In September of 2023, the team at Lifeway (including Amanda!) went to Israel with Kristi McLelland to record video teachings for her upcoming women's and teen girls' Bible study, Luke in the Land. While the trip was an incredible experience, Kristi wrestled with the Lord behind the scenes especially when the events in Israel on October 7 took place. She recently shared with the team what God taught her through it all, and we knew this was a conversation we needed to record.
If God is asking you to put your yes on the table and walk in obedience, we hope this episode will encourage you to walk in surrender to a good, trustworthy God.
