Lindsay Clancy Reached Out Twice Before January 24 Aug 12, 2026
    Show notes

What actually happens when someone calls a crisis line? Nothing about that call routes automatically to the psychiatrist writing your prescriptions. Tony Brueski brings your questions on that gap to retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke.

A crisis line is not a medical record. It is not a referral. Nothing about the call guarantees the clinician managing someone's care ever learns it happened. In the Lindsay Clancy trial, that structure stopped being theoretical.

Clancy's civil lawsuit describes a woman who sought treatment, went to emergency rooms, called crisis hotlines and admitted herself to hospitals. Both psychiatrists who have testified for the prosecution said the hotline calls were news to them. One testified it surprised her.

Goodheart, the McLean physician, also testified she did not know Clancy had gone roughly two days without sleep after starting a medication earlier in her treatment. She told the court sleep deprivation can contribute to a manic episode, and that she would have wanted to keep observing Clancy's sleep after discharge.

That is the part listeners keep writing in about. Several outpatient providers, one inpatient stay, two hotline calls, and no single person holding all of it.

Clancy pleaded not guilty to the murder charges against her and is presumed innocent. Prosecutors argue she acted with intent and that her care team is not responsible. Her defense argues postpartum psychosis and a lack of criminal responsibility. The providers deny negligence.

Robin Dreeke answers what listeners are asking about warning signs, handoffs, and who is supposed to be holding the whole picture. If you need someone, 988 is answered every hour of the day.

Should Anyone Believe The Nancy Guthrie Notes Or The Patrick Clancy Theory? Aug 12, 2026
    Show notes

Full live session with Tony Brueski and retired FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke, covering the two stories dominating the mailbag. First, the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes. Then the Lindsay Clancy trial, including the conspiracy theory that refuses to release Patrick Clancy.

Everything is on the table live. Whether the Guthrie family should accept a letter claiming their mother is buried in nature, from a writer who walked away from $4 million and wished her children peace. Whether a sheriff who denied having that note one day before releasing it still has the room's trust. Whether Lindsay Clancy's prosecution is quietly helping her defense, one loving-mother witness at a time. And whether any amount of CVS footage and phone records will ever satisfy the crowd convinced Patrick did it.

The chat drives all of it. Every question tonight was built to split the room, Robin has a professional read on each one, and the disagreements are the show. Show up with an opinion — or lose one.

Should Nancy Guthrie's Family Believe The Kidnapper's Last Note? Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Live with Tony Brueski and retired FBI behavioral analyst Robin Dreeke. On the table: the ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie case, released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department on July 31. Underneath them sits the question no family should ever face, whether to believe a letter that says their mother is gone.

This session runs on listener submissions, and they don't hold back. The $4 million demand that simply vanished from the second note. The proof details, the white smart watch and the broken flood light, that put the writer inside that house. The apology and the wish for peace, which Robin can read like a case file. The sheriff who told CBS he had no note indicating death, twenty-four hours before releasing one, while a Wall Street Journal report questions his department's early moves. And the federal search teams back in the brush behind Nancy's own home.

The chat carries this one. Whether you believe the notes are real, a hoax, or something in between, bring your reasoning — because the room will not agree, and that's exactly why this case needs a live hour.

Is Lindsay Clancy's Prosecution Helping Her Case? Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Live listener Q&A on the Lindsay Clancy trial with Tony Brueski. Eight days of testimony, and the state's own witnesses keep describing a loving mother — so the audience took over the questioning, and this session runs on your submissions.

On the table: whether the takeout order and the timed errand read as a plan or as illness, and whether a person in psychosis can plan at all. The pill bottles counted out for the jury and the collision between skipped-medication and overmedication. The hospital discharge 19 days before it happened, from a listener who asked her own doctor for help and got a pamphlet. The moment Lindsay's sobbing stopped the trial, and the listener who admitted she doesn't know what to feel. And the endgame question — if the verdict is not criminally responsible, does a state hospital ever open its doors?

The chat decides where this one goes. Every question tonight splits the room on purpose. The last one, about who stands up for Cora, Dawson, and Callan, belongs to everybody. Come argue.

Can Patrick Clancy Ever Clear His Name Online? Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Live with Tony Brueski and Robin Dreeke: the conspiracy theory chasing Patrick Clancy through his wife's murder trial. Lindsay Clancy's attorney conceded to the jury that she killed their three children, prosecutors laid out Patrick's movements minute by minute, and thousands of people online still insist the husband did it.

Robin spent his FBI career studying belief — why people form it, why evidence bounces off it, and what actually changes a mind. Tony puts the whole theory in front of him live. The airtight timeline versus the conspiracy read of it. The crowd's certainty that Patrick's grief looked wrong, and the remarriage they call a tell. The lawsuit against Lindsay's doctors that makes her defense's argument for her.

Bring your take to the chat. Whether you've dismissed this theory from day one or you've caught yourself wondering, the room is going to be split — and that's the point. The question that ends the segment goes to everyone watching: what would it take to let it go?

Do You Trust the Guthrie, Murdaugh, and Clancy Investigations? Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

Three cases. One live conversation. And a chat that is not going to agree on any of them. Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins Tony Brueski for a Hidden Killers Live triple covering Nancy Guthrie, Alex Murdaugh, and Lindsay Clancy: three investigations where the loudest question is aimed at the investigators.

The Guthrie segment is built on Coffindaffer's own blockchain trace, run after the Pima County Sheriff's Office accidentally released the alleged kidnapper's Bitcoin wallet address. What she found: no ransom was ever paid. The only deposit in the wallet's history is roughly three hundred dollars from the FBI. Messages written directly to that wallet, a standing line to whoever took Nancy, were never answered. Why does someone who allegedly demanded four million dollars go silent? The room gets that one.

The Murdaugh segment starts with the question his audience keeps yelling: why isn't Becky Hill in prison? Her jury interference forced the retrial; her guilty plea covered a book photo, self-paid bonuses, and sealed exhibits, with no prison time, and a federal judge just dismissed Murdaugh's lawsuit against her. Then the new defense motion demanding SLED's files be certified clean in writing, the fired agent whose word cleared Eddie Smith, and the shirt that tested negative for human blood before becoming untestable forever. Accident or convenience — the chat votes.

The Clancy segment takes week two head-on: the defense stipulating to the forensics, the state's calm-patient snapshot from six days after the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, and the diary both sides claim proves their case. Can a mind be organized enough to plan and still be broken? Bring your answer.

Murdaugh and Clancy are presumed innocent. Nancy Guthrie is still missing. Pull up a chair. This one runs hot.

Did Lindsay Clancy's Lawyer Just Help the Prosecution? Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

Prosecutors put Lindsay Clancy's diary in front of her jury. Brain fog. Can't make a plan. Terror. Living moment to moment. The state's argument: look at these pages — no voices, no delusions, no break from reality. A woman documenting her own mind, and the documentation shows a mind still there. It might be the most double-edged evidence in this entire trial, and it's where retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer starts on this Hidden Killers Live conversation with Tony Brueski.

Because the defense reads the same pages and sees the illness itself: a nurse who spent her career in labor and delivery reduced to recording fog and fear, day after day, while the medical system adjusted her medications around her. And underneath both readings sits the clinical reality the jury has to wrestle with: postpartum psychosis doesn't hold still for a diary. A mind can be present in the morning and gone that night. Pinning any single day's entry to January 24 assumes a stability the condition doesn't have.

Week two gave this jury everything at once. The defense stipulated to the forensics, since Clancy's lawyers don't dispute she caused the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, so the physical evidence stopped being a fight. The state's toxicologist testified about medication levels. A psychiatrist described Clancy six days afterward as calm and organized. Every piece asks the same question from a different angle: whose version of her mind does the jury believe?

Coffindaffer has watched juries navigate exactly this, and the live chat gets a voice in it too, because this audience does not agree on Lindsay Clancy, and this is the case where that disagreement is the whole point.

She is presumed innocent of murder. Cora, Dawson, and Callan are why we keep showing up.

Was Alex Murdaugh's Murder Shirt Ruined by Accident? Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

Ryan Kelly stood between Eddie Smith and the Murdaugh murder case. On the stand at the first trial, the SLED agent said there was none whatsoever — zero evidence connecting Smith to the killings of Maggie and Paul. That clearance held for three years. Now Kelly is out of law enforcement, fired in June from his internal affairs job at the Charleston County Sheriff's Office after an investigation into harassment and conduct allegations. To be fair: the public records don't describe what he did, and nothing ties his firing to his SLED work. But Alex Murdaugh's defense is demanding disciplinary files on every officer connected to this case, and Kelly's file is sitting right there.

Retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer joins Tony Brueski on Hidden Killers Live to answer the question underneath all of it. Did anyone ever actually rule out Eddie Smith, or did one agent's word become the whole clearance?

The conversation runs through both filings that just reshaped this case. A federal judge dismissed Murdaugh's $600,000 lawsuit against Becky Hill on August 5, ruling the former clerk owes him nothing for his defense costs even though her jury interference triggered the retrial. Hill pleaded guilty to obstruction, perjury, and misconduct, none of it for the tampering itself, and received no prison time. And the defense's new motion demands prosecutors certify in writing that no favorable evidence remains buried in any file, any agency, any lab.

Coffindaffer also takes the shirt head-on: SLED testing negative for human blood, then a chemical that made retesting impossible forever. Accident or convenience: she picks a side, and the chat will pick theirs.

Murdaugh is presumed innocent with an April retrial coming. Bring your read on Eddie Smith. This one gets loud.

Was Nancy Guthrie's Ransom Ever Actually Paid? Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

Someone allegedly demanded four million dollars for Nancy Guthrie — and then never came back for it. That's the mystery at the center of this Hidden Killers Live conversation with retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer. She traced the alleged kidnapper's Bitcoin wallet after the Pima County Sheriff's Office accidentally released the address in its own media materials.

The trace shows a direct line existed this whole time. Messages were written onto the blockchain, straight to that wallet, including the exact words Savannah Guthrie said on camera about the family's willingness to pay. Anyone controlling that wallet could see them. Nobody ever answered. Coffindaffer walks Tony Brueski through the question that haunts this case: why does a person who allegedly took a woman from her home for money go silent when the money is offered?

The numbers make it stranger. Coffindaffer's trace shows no ransom was ever paid. The only deposit was roughly three hundred dollars in Bitcoin, moved by the FBI on February 10 as an apparent test, still sitting untouched. The four million never moved because it was never sent. That reframes every public statement the family has made, including that they did their part.

Coffindaffer also breaks down why she believes the two ransom notes came from two different authors: one writing threats like a script, one writing something closer to an apology from inside that house. And she reacts to Sheriff Nanos marking six months by praising the FBI relationship while admitting thousands of hours of video are still unreviewed.

Live chat drives this one. Bring your theory on the silence, because the room will not agree. That's the point. Nancy Guthrie was taken from her home in Tucson, and the trail her case left behind is written in a currency that never lies.

Lindsay Clancy's Own Expert Just Wrecked The Prosecution? Aug 10, 2026
    Show notes

A prosecution witness in the Lindsay Clancy trial said something on the stand that sounds like it belongs in the defense's closing argument. I go through exactly what was admitted and why it matters more than the state probably wanted it to.

The Commonwealth's case leans hard on one fact: all thirteen of Lindsay Clancy's psychiatric medications were within therapeutic range when her children died. To the prosecution, that means clarity. But their own psychiatrist told the jury that someone deep in psychosis can still present as calm and put-together — normal on the outside doesn't rule out a break happening underneath.

Day 8 of the trial brought eleven witnesses, every one called by the state, and the day didn't go the way prosecutors probably scripted it. A medical examiner explained how 8-month-old Callan died, autopsy photos went up on screen, and Lindsay sobbed hard enough that the judge stopped the hearing. The pediatrician described a routine, unremarkable checkup with 5-year-old Cora just hours before the killings. Coworkers described insomnia, brain fog, a stack of medications, a stay at McLean Hospital. Then the case detective confirmed a search warrant on her Facebook, looking for signs of abuse, came back empty.

Her journal entries were read aloud — words about drowning, about barely functioning. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington isn't arguing about what happened; he's conceded it. The only question left for this jury is whether the state can prove she was legally sane, and that burden belongs entirely to the prosecution. I break down where this leaves the case.
