"Wax on, Wax off" Mar 10, 2020
    Show notes

Mary Elizabeth, also known as "M.E", owns Mark n ME Salon in Rochester, NY with her husband, Mark. Kevin had an idea around the holidays to have himself and Sully put their bodies on the line, and have the listeners vote on what they would like to see each host get waxed. Well, the listeners ended up choosing Sully to have his entire chest waxed, and they chose for Kevin to have an actual Brazilian. (Insert wide eyed emoji here). The fellas then decided to make it a fundraiser for the John F. McNamara Foundation and they ended up raising over $500 for the organization! Thank you to every one who donated!

A little history on Mark n M.E. When Mark graduated from college in the late 70s, he decided to get a NYS Cosmetology license so he could join his parents in the salon they started in 1956 called Style-O-Rama. He found an immediate passion for the business and has enjoyed being a hairdresser for over 35 years. While Mary Elizabeth went to college to become a teacher, she also worked full time at the salon doing nails. She found the salon work extremely rewarding and decided to acquire an NYS Cosmetology license as well. When they took over the salon, they decided to rename it to something a little more current. Since then, Mary Elizabeth has made the waxing services so popular, Mark & M.E. is now widely known as the "Home of the Ten Minute Brazilian®." They're very proud of maintaining the highest level of professionalism in a welcoming, family atmosphere. All links to the salon are below!

Enjoy the episode. We hope you went potty before listening.

    "DeAnn Salcido" Mar 03, 2020
    Show notes

Join Kevin and DeAnn Salcido (The Whistleblower Judge) as they chat about the inspirations Salcido had in pursuing law and becoming a judge in the State of California. They discussed the experiences DeAnn had in courtrooms and the story behind why she was known as the whistleblower. She also shared how she ended up as a divorce attorney and a consultant today. DeAnn Salcido was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She is a second-generation trial attorney having followed in the footsteps of her father. Indeed she decided in elementary school that she wanted to be a lawyer. After watching the film "Kramer vs. Kramer" DeAnn changed her career goal and decided she wanted to become a judge. At age 30 she placed herself on a ten-year plan to become a judge and accomplished that goal at age 37, which in retrospect she now believes was too young. This business model led her to her breakthrough moment that propelled her to coaching. She created legal workshops and online legal courses providing strategic information to people representing themselves in California's not public friendly family court system. Instead, she found that what people really needed and wanted was the internal fortitude coaching that she uniquely qualified to provide based on her professional and personal experiences. Honorable Legal Services is the divorce law firm she founded in 2012 after retiring from the San Diego Superior Court. Her law firm strongly pursues the rights of protective parents and fights for courts to better protect children and victims of domestic violence. Whether you are looking for a divorce attorney (child support, spousal support, divorce, legal separation) or you want guidance as a self-represented litigant, as a former judge who told truth to power, she is the person who will fight for you and or teach you how to fight for justice yourself. "Crystal's Back... No Literally, Her Back. Feb 18, 2020
    Show notes

Well here's a voice you haven't heard in awhile! Crystal rejoins Kevin in an episode where she talks about her vacation to the Dominican Republic, her work schedule not enabling her to record with Kev & Sully, and her back issues that are getting her sidelined from her normal work.

Crystal went to the Dominican Republic in November and ended up black out drunk, and puking in a hot tub. Thata girl! She totally didn't even know she did it when she woke up the next day, but "manned up" and cleaned it all up instead of asking the butler. Kevin described how they've missed her and it's been odd not having her on episodes with them. She tells him about the issues she's been having with her back and how it's even, at this point, taken her out of work. She's looking at possible surgery very soon. Please keep her in your thoughts!

But, as you know, when Crystal's on there's never a dull moment. This one doesn't disappoint!

For more than 30 years, Kenny has been studying, reading, going to seminars, and working with counselors, trying to get his own handle on his own issues and pain. "Jennifer Eberhardt Smith" Jan 07, 2020
    Show notes

Being that it's the start of the New Year, the boys welcomed Jennifer Eberhardt Smith to talk about what to do when life throws you curve balls. Not only that, but the people that are in a rut, tend to feel like they're alone. And they're not.

Jennifer is the author of "Donuts and Dandelions", a book that takes a simplistic look at finding happiness in your everyday life. You see, Jennifer was a stay at home mom, happy and by choice, when she was rocked by a divorce. In her search for answers into who she was, she developed her joy and growth philosophy. By focusing on two simple goals, you can create the life you want to live. She is focusing on helping others who may be going through a life shift or simply looking for direction.

They discuss what it's like to be in that "rut", the feelings while you're there and the things we can do, as people, to help ourselves out of them. Kevin refers to this as being stuck in a trench, someone throws you a rope, but they don't pull you up... you have to PULL YOURSELF UP. Jennifer agrees, and Sully adds that people tend to fall back on social media, when that's not where they should be looking for guidance.

Through all of this, Jennifer created an iOS app called, "Paint to Me". It's an art/communication app where people communicate soley in colors. Kevin thought that was pretty interesting and said he would check it out, but also wondered how it actually worked. She moves on to explain in the episode.
