Personal Development Burnout (You Have Permission To HIT PAUSE) Mar 29, 2022
    Show notes

Have you experienced "personal development burnout"?

You may not know exactly what it is, but your best guess is probably not far off!

Personal development burnout is the feelings of overwhelm, guilt or obligation that can come up around the self improvement work you're doing to make empowering shifts in your life.

As you work on improving yourself and creating a life you love living, sometimes you can feel shame or judgement around being where you are. The books, courses or podcasts that are meant to help you rise up, are instead creating feelings that are weighing you down.

In today's episode I'm talking about personal development burnout and letting you know that it's okay to HIT PAUSE.

You have a vast amount of wisdom and knowledge within yourself that can be used to helping you get unstuck in life. However, you probably don't trust it right now. The Most Dangerous Part About Making Commitments Mar 01, 2022
    Show notes

How do you feel about making commitments? About going "all in" in life?

Making commitments is a part of success and part of turning a desire into reality. Anyone who has succeeded at anything significant has gone "all in" on themselves and on the results that they desired.

There's great payout to going "all in", but there's also great risk. The risk lies in spending too much time in the "danger zone" of commitment. In this episode I'm going to share with you the process of making commitments and going all in, and explain what the "danger zone" is and why you find yourself in it. Understanding this can free you and unlock your ability to create your abundant loving life!

What Is The Goal Of Sex In Your Relationships And Life? (HIA Classic) Feb 22, 2022
    Show notes

When you think about sex, what is the goal for you? Is it to have an orgasm, or to make sure your partner has one? Is it to show your partner how much you love them and to validate your relationship? Is it something else?

For most of my life, the goal of sex was orgasm. My orgasm mostly, but at times her orgasm was my priority as well. I picked that goal up from porn, from media, from peers.

Sometimes the goal of sex for me was to fulfill the expectation (and sometimes obligation) of being "in love". It was a way to make myself feel like my relationship was mature, legitimate, and secure.

Having goals like that created some interesting beliefs about sex, myself, my partner, intimacy, love, and relationships. (and by interesting I mean unhealthy, judgmental, scarce, intimidating, self deprecating, and sexist).

But there are other goals of sex that can create a much more powerful, loving and connected experience.

In today's episode I'm diving into the goal of sex and am serving up a few alternative perspectives that can help you create a more powerful and healthy sexual experience.

It goes without saying on this one, but today's podcast is definitely explicit. So be mindful of listening around young ears.

The Biggest Lessons I Learned From Bob Proctor Feb 08, 2022
    Show notes

How are the laws of vibration and attraction impacting your life RIGHT NOW?

Before being introduced to the words and works of Bob Proctor, I'd have no idea what the heck that question even meant! But today not only do I understand it, but I am very intentional about practicing it and aligning with these laws to create my Abundant Loving Life.

And this is all in large part to Bob Proctor.

On today's episode I want to take a minute to reflect on the life and lessons of Bob Proctor, who transitioned last week at the age of 87 years young. Bob Proctor's message came into my life when I was just starting to "work on myself" and became intentional about creating a better life for myself. I credit his ability to explain concepts which I was struggling to understand, for unlocking within me a way of looking at my life, my results, and my personal power.

If you do not know who Bob Proctor was then I encourage you to check out the links below and start exploring.

    Much love!

Who Are You When No One Is Watching? (HIA Classic) Jan 25, 2022
    Show notes

The self improvement game is, many times, a public one. Spiritual, physical, mental and emotional self work can all be done in the open or with a group of people. And with group meditation and yoga and other similar things really taking off these days, one could buy into the idea that self improvement is a public act.

But there's something so much more important than the things we're DOING to improve our relationship to our selves, others and life, and that's who we're BEING.

I've talked about Doing vs Being on the podcast before, but today's topic takes it a degree further. Today I'm going in on the question: Who are you when no one is watching?

So, I ask YOU -- when you're alone, in your secrecy, with no one watching and no one holding you accountable except for yourself, who are you? How do you treat yourself? What allowances do you give yourself? What language do you use to describe yourself and those around you?

The way you answer those questions reveals more about your true state of being than other more outward displays of wellness.

It's said that you have between 40,000 - 60,000 thoughts per day. If you were to categorize each as a LOVING thought or FEARFUL thought, what would your ratio be?

What you'll hear in this episode:

    • How my secret self was exposed recently, and the consequences of my seeing the truth
    • The self talk that contributes to us playing small
    • The costs of not doing what you say you will do
