CelticsPod: Unpacking the NOLA game Mar 30, 2021
    Show notes

The Celtics fell short against the New Orleans Pelicans, but there were some really encouraging signs, most notably some solid defensive stretches, and Kemba Walker (along with Tatum). Marcus Smart got into his own head, and made some bad decisions on certain plays, but it was in no way his worst performance. Kornet looks like he could be a good player for the Celtics, while Fournier is still figuring stuff out. All this and more on today's CelticsPod Learn more about your ad choices. Celtics PRIDE: Andrew Doxy Interview Mar 23, 2021
    Show notes

On this episode of Celtics PRIDE, Adam, Josh, and Mike welcome special guest Andrew Doxy from Celticsblog and Revenge of the Parquet (he’s also the Digital Editor and Team Lead at Endgame 360). Andrew reveals how this Florida native originally became a Celtics fan, how he got onto the CelticsBlog Staff, and a little about his background before the team jumps into some heated Celtics talk. They question how worried we should all be that Tatum and Brown will eventually leave, if things ominously continue as they have this season. Andrew then shares that he too believes the Celtics should make SOME move before Thursday’s trade deadline, and they discuss a couple options. Then the team plays a game of “NBA Would You Rather.” Would you rather John Collins or Aaron Gordon? Romeo Langford or Aaron Nesmith? Grant Williams or Semi Ojeleye? Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown? And lastly, Marvin Bagley or nah? “Aaron Nesmith is not a great NBA player but he is constantly improving, and he’s better than he was a month ago, so he could be a contributor in the playoffs if he continues his growth track.” Then the guys look ahead to the next games, specifically the two games against the mighty Bucks, which if we win could separate us from the pack we’re in with the Hawks, Heat, Knicks, Hornets, Pacers, and Bulls - or it could solidify us in with this group. Make sure you listen until the end of the interview when the team asks about Andrew’s least glamorous job ever. To that degree Andrew simply says, I’ve seen some things… I‘ve smelled some things.” Remember to rate, review, and subscribe to the Celticsblog podcast feed (we're “Celtics PRIDE”) and follow us on Twitter @celticspridepod, a @celticsblog podcast. CelticsPod: Good win against Orlando, now onto Memphis Mar 22, 2021
    Show notes

For the first 10 minutes, I go solo to explore the win against Orlando and what went well, along with some Kemba Walker talk. Then, I am joined by CelticsBlog's Jesse Cinquini to look ahead to tonight's game against Memphis. The Grizzlies have found a winning formula by placing shooters around Ja Morant, which allows him to penetrate the lanes at will, something which Boston struggle to contain - so we break down the best options and matchups for the Celtics to win this game. You can follow Jesse here: https://twitter.com/CinquiniJesse And me here: https://twitter.com/AdamTaylorNBA Please consider leaving a 5* review, too :) Learn more about your ad choices. Celtics PRIDE: Trade deadline and recent games. Mar 16, 2021
    Show notes

On this episode of Celtics PRIDE, Adam, Josh, and Mike discuss the recent loss to Brooklyn and the blowout of Houston. This includes the Celtics inability to put together 48 minutes of good defense, the fact that Kyrie Irving is good at basketball. Mike argues that Brooklyn is a real title contender and better than Boston. The guys discuss Tatum and Brown’s ability to be lead facilitators for a title team before moving on to the trade deadline. Fan expectations for the TPE seem overly high and the CelticsPride team worries about what will happen if the Celtics do not trade the TPE this year. Each host gives their predictions on if a deal will happen and how large it will be. Mike and Adam review the GM media show of manipulating the media as a negotiation tactic and the lackluster list of players mentioned in rumors connected to the Celtics. Then the guys look ahead to the next 4 games including a big game against Utah as well as what each of them need to see from the Celtics to prove that they have turned a corner in this season. CelticsPod: KPJ, Valanciunas, and Romeo at the point Mar 15, 2021
    Show notes

Joined by Cody Chalifoux, we discuss if Boston missed out on Kevin Porter Jr and why they would have chosen not to pursue him. If Jonas Valanciunas would be a cheaper, more viable option the Vucevic, and if running Romeo Langford at the point could make sense for the second unit. We then end with some buy-out options who could make a short-term impact but aren't worth their current salaries. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
