Taking Your Power Back Apr 12, 2021
    Show notes

Babe omg I think this was by far one of my favorite episodes. I relate this topic to my dating experience and was so giddy the entire time talking to you haha. Learning to take my power back has been something that has taken years of practice and intentional action.

I will never fully master this because I'm only human! But!! That's also where I've found most fulfillment - the eternal growth of one's self.

This episode truly rolled off my tongue and I'm starting to feel so much more confident and "me" when speaking. I hope you vibed with this one <3 <3 <3 I adore you and thank you for 5k!

    all the best,

    22 Things I Learned at 22 Apr 05, 2021
    Show notes

Aries season is in full effect. My birthday was on the 4th of April and I took the time to ground myself in how far I've come and the season of life I'm currently in. Here's the list below that I talk more about in the episode.

    1. Be present

    2. You are control of your own perspective

    3. Take a chance, you won’t know unless you try

    4. It’s okay if your first job isn’t your dream job, or if it takes awhile to get there

    5. Things take time, even if you have big goals/aspirations

    6. Say yes more. Go for that movie night with friends during the weekday

    7. Trust your intuition

    8. Raise your hand. Closed mouths don’t get fed

    9. Tell your friends and family you love them

    10. It’s okay to not know

    11. Ask for help

    12. People can’t read your mind. Stop being a bitch

    13. Stop feeling guilty for doing the things you like - aka coffee lmfao

    14. Protect your energy

    15. Take back your power

    16. I don’t chase, I attract. Manifestation baby.

    17. No dream is too big. Just take action. Don’t be all bark no bite.

    18. No one is discrediting you other than yourself. Stop making excuses for yourself

    19. You are the average sum of the people you hang out most with

    20. People fear confidence, keep your head up high and walk

    21. Pump the breaks, if it isn’t a hell yes it’s a hell no.

    22. Stop living for the future.

When I knew I was gay, Closeted men, What I learned? Mar 29, 2021
    Show notes

An episode I never thought I would be making but feel that it's been also long overdue. Considering this podcast is titled "Girls & The Gays" I felt that it was only right to talk about dating within the gay scene and what I've learned.

From discreet boys, my first kiss and all things in between... Are you ready?

Feeling Lost, How I Ground Myself Mar 22, 2021
    Show notes

Sweet Angel - before I get into this episode, I want to let you know I'm here for you. I stand in solidarity with our AAPI Brothers and Sisters and if there's anything you need, please do not hesitate.

This episode was recorded a week in advanced prior to the hate crime that occurred in Atlanta because I was making a trip to Texas. I wish I was able to talk about it a little in the episode but I hope you're able to understand I'm always here and am eager to fight for change.

That said, this episode was a little snippet into some insecurities I had experienced and self-doubt that weighed my mind/heart a few weeks back. Which is normal! We should always validate how we feel. Press play and hear about how I organized my headspace during this blip in the week :) Cheers to us.

    xoxo,

[Interview] Hodges Fit Business Owner Teresa Hodges Mar 08, 2021
    Show notes

My loves, this week I bring on someone who has come to mean so so much to me - Teresa Hodges. Teresa is a 21 year old bad ass boss woman who started Hodges Fit with her brother Gerry. From idea to action, Teresa tells her story of finding her calling, following it, and living intentionally.

Don't get me wrong... Teresa has also had her fair share of adversity. Being one of 6 kids, money was something that challenged her family and her season of unhealthy relationship with food/exercise .. her mental space was at risk until she one day finally realized that that was no life she wanted to live.
I truly feel that you all will really resonate with Teresa and fall in love with her story. She has grounded me in my own path and continues to inspire me to follow my authenticity. I know she will radiate that same energy through today's episode.

The noise of social media, comparison, destination happiness and just so many other variables really takes a toll as you make strides toward the betterment of you. This episode I unpack how this last week I got caught up in self-doubt and was really just going through a roller coaster of emotions but also ultimately shifted my mindset to serve me and keep me on track to follow my calling.

I hope this one resonated with you love! Please let me know by leaving a review on Apple Podcasts :)

    Happy March 1st babe!

Not Everyone is Going to Like You /: Feb 22, 2021
    Show notes

Hate to say it babe, but not everyone is going to like you... AND THAT'S OKAY!! The other day I was talking to my high school bestfriend Emily and we were on the subject of growing out of friendships we used to once be so possessive over... scared that losing this friend we wouldn't be able to be our best selves. However, now that we are both in our 20's, we've quickly realized that was far from the truth.

We are all entitled to our own opinion but we also owe it to ourselves to live present and intentionally. This episode I unpack just that. Choosing your own trajectory before anyone else and letting law of attraction do its magic. Purrriod.

Q&A [Discrimination against Asian Americans, My Values, What Inspires Me] Feb 15, 2021
    Show notes

My love! Happy belated Valentines Day. Thank you so much for being back for episode 16, my second Q&A on Girls & The Gays. This episode I attempt to unpack a pretty thicc topic that circumference the social injustice that has been occurring in the Asian community (and over all), what it's been like being raised in a traditional Vietnamese household, what my priorities/values are and if they've changed just to give you a synopsis.

Tune into the rest of the episode to get to know me more throughout the duration of this Q&A! I appreciate you!

Holy Guacamole? My first interview (EVER) with one of my favorite humans on earth. Hope Florence is the full-package - published author, yoga instructor, full-time student, business owner all at the age of 21 ~ahem~ ... bad ass! Having the privilege and honor to know Hope personally, I immediately knew I had to have her on Girls and The Gays.

We unpack how Hope got into poetry, publishing her own book [Conversations with the Universe], being a small business owner and following her calling. She has inspired me to no end and has grounded me in my own calling of podcasting. I know you will fall head over heels for Hope as I truly have.

Thanks for being here babe. All love, Tran!
