Tribal Rules, the Bloodline Fallout, Better Than You BayBay, and Jason Aldean - WWE and AEW July 17-23 Jul 24, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about nearly everything. In the WWE, the war for tribal chiefdom rages on, and Jey Uso is set to fight Roman Reigns for the title at SummerSlam. They discuss who will win, how they think it will play out, and what will become of the Wiseman if Jey does the impossible.
In AEW, Ricky Starks was showered with more pyro than Kevin Nash, and the fans were showered with dance moves as Better Than You BayBay rolls on to face FTR for the tag championships. Tyler and Brad predict the outcome. Plus, is ROH just AEW Dark Elevation when it isn’t a PPV?
Jason Aldean made headlines for filming a music video about vigilantism in small towns in America. The video includes imagery from the 2020 protests interspersed throughout the song while Aldean stands in front of a flag-adorned building famous for being a lynching site. The guys discuss why that’s indefensible. To sweeten things up, Tyler gives another Bachelorette update in A Rose from Tyler, and Brad gives love to a colleague.

In AEW, FTR and Bullet Club Gold went 58 minutes on Saturday. Ricky and Willow one their respective Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournaments. Who gets gold first. Plus, will Ricky be heel going into that quest for a championship belt?
Tyler cuts a promo right out of the gate that lasts ten minutes. He had some things to say. Brad tells a tale of Freya taking care of her mom after surgery. Money in the Bank, the Bloodline Civil War, and Great AEW - WWE and AEW July 3 - July 9 Jul 10, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys go back to basics and deliver a classic GI ep. In WWE, the Money in the Bank fallout is on display. The Bloodline Civil War is over, and so is the Tribal Court. Jey Uso is now at the top of the card. Will he dethrone Roman? Plus, what will the status of the MitB briefcases be when Survivor Series rolls into Chicago, and what will be the main event?
In AEW, Scorpio Sky returned, Ruby Soho is rolling, I’m Better Than You Baybay has moved on, and CM Punk finally beat Samoa Joe. The guys discuss their favorite moment. Finally, Brad asks Tyler about character depth versus talent depth in AEW. Is talent alone enough?
Tyler gives us another Bachelorette update and asks Brad about what constitutes a date. Brad complains about fireworks as the fireworst. Should they be allowed after the fourth if it’s past 11 PM? This, and much more.

CM Punk Returns Again, Iyo and Asuka Face Off, and Roman Has a New Belt - May 29-June 4 Jun 05, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about Iyo Sky facing off with Asuka ahead of Money in the Bank, teasing a matchup that they are absolutely ready for. Also, the women’s division tag champs demanded to be partners, but without that context, they discuss what the “demands” meant. Plus, Roman hit 1000 days and got a shiny new belt.
In AEW, Tony Khan announced that CM Punk would be headlining the debut of Collision at the United Center later this month. Rampage followed by having an absolutely loaded card for the San Diego audience, but it left the guys wondering if it’s more important to have great in-person wrestling or to further storylines.
Tyler finally got to see Fast X, and very quickly realized he can’t unsee it. Despite that, he will be attending Fast XI, XII, XIII, L, M, and whatever other Roman numeral comes out of the franchise. He give this thoughts, and Brad talks Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Plus, 19 Media Group is turning two this Juneteenth, and Tyler and Brad join fellow 19 members in a giveaway. Head to @19MGroup on Twitter for your chance to win prizes.
