Randy, Punk, Julia Hart, Swerve, Ric Flair, and Gerry the Heel - WWE and AEW November 27-December 3 Dec 04, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the week of returns in WWE. Randy Orton and CM Punk both made a splash on Raw, and Randy signed with SmackDown to take on the Bloodline. Tyler and Brad break down their hopes for the future and what they thought of the polarizing Punk promo.
In AEW, Julia Hart and Swerve Strickland are playing bad guy, but who will be the first to turn babyface? Brad isn’t convinced it has to happen, but one thing remains constant: Tyler needs Swerve to hold gold. Plus, they give their thoughts on the Ric Flair situation.
Brad gives an update on a live theater performance at his high school, and Tyler gives another Rose as the Golden Bachelor ends. But, it turns out that the biggest working father heel in the business might be Gerry and not Christian Cage. Tyler picked the correct winner, but did anyone truly win?

A Night of Returns: R-Truth, Randy Orton, Io’s Trash Can, and CM Punk - Survivor Series 2023 Nov 27, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys break down Survivor Series 2023. The ladies stole the show with the match of the night, but Randy Orton took it right back with his huge return (and we do mean Randy is huge) at the tail end of the men’s War Games match. Not to be outdone, CM Punk showed up in Chicago and made his triumphant return to WWE. Will things be different this time? The press conference after the show seemed to indicate such. Plus, Seth is poised to be a major opponent for Punk in the future. However, Drew stormed out of the arena and left people speculating about his future. What’s a work and what isn’t? It’s impossible to know, and wrestling will benefit from it.
Fresh off Thanksgiving, the guys share what they’re grateful for in a very syrupy first few minutes. Plus, The Golden Bachelor is about to hit its season finale. Brad and Tyler make their picks and talk about fantasy suites. Will Gerry pick the woman whose name he can’t pronounce? Tyler thinks so. Brad has no idea.

Swerving to the Top, Hart of Gold, Billy Goat's Bluff, and Whose Leg is it Anyway - Full Gear 2023 Nov 20, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys break down Full Gear 2023. Swerve and Hangman had an all-time classic. Julia Hart won the TBS title. Toni Storm rigged her butt like Bret Hart’s spear protector in WCW and won the big belt once again. MJF was slowed as he charged to the ring on a bad leg while Adam Cole sauntered down unbothered with a surgically repaired foot. This show was bonkers and had a little bit for everyone. They discuss what was and was not for them, where they think some of the feuds go from here, and what’s in store in the future.

The State of Pro Wrestling, Women Tell All, and Washing Machines- WWE and AEW November 6-12 Nov 13, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the shocking rose ceremony on the Golden Bachelor. The women told all and left the guys irritated that the last decision will take two full weeks. Plus, Brad has washing machine woes and Tyler realized time has passed him by after watching Big Vape.
Nothing in wrestling is really drawing the guys in right now to the weekly product, but they’re both looking forward to the upcoming PLE/PPV events from each company. It’s a weird time and they talk through it to try to see if they can discover why they feel this way. Join them for a cathartic episode. It’s okay. Let it all out.

Crown Jewel, Rhea Ripley, The Devil Herself, and Bad Courts - WWE and AEW October 30-November 5 Nov 06, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the cliffhanger in the Golden Bachelor as Gerry defiles the pronunciation of Tyler’s beloved mother’s name. Speaking of defiling, the NBA midseason courts are here, and Brad feels a way about the Pistons color scheme. Plus, Tyler gives his take on Kidz Bop in Hot Take Ty. You don’t want to miss it.
Brad and Tyler discuss a relatively underwhelming PLE in Crown Jewel that had some pretty significant outcomes. Logan Paul is the US champ and Io reunited with Kairi Sane. They wonder how Rhea avoids the pitfalls of repetitive matches that Roman Reigns finds himself trapped in. AEW saw the reunion of the Jerishow and the debut of Ric Flair and his energy drink. AEW is determined to be 1998 WCW and has the network to prove it, but can the devil save them? If it’s Britt Baker behind the mask, the guys have thoughts.

Rhea Ripley, Evolution Turns 5, Kenny and MJF, and Julia’s Hart - WWE and AEW October 23-29 Oct 30, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about Freya’s newly lost tooth and the toothless feeling of office/organizational thematic goals. Tyler also breaks down the return of the explicit lyric youth coach dominating a shared gym space with young athletes present. Plus, the guys break down the Golden Bachelor a week out from hometowns.
Brad and Tyler celebrate and reflect on the 5th anniversary of WWE’s all-women’s wrestling show, Evolution, and wonder why we haven’t gotten another one yet. As always, Mami is on top, and the guys do a temperature check on Rhea’s current run ahead of Crown Jewel. Brad questions why WWE has matches without explanation or stakes, and they compare these problems with AEW’s similar problems in logic. Speaking of AEW, Julia Hart seems to be recruiting, and Kenny Omega and MJF put on an instant classic in the Collision main event. Let’s talk about it.

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the remaining contestants on the Golden Bachelor’s inaugural season, Tyler cuts a promo on a 6-12 school football environment and has never sounded older, and both Brad and Tyler talk grad school drama.

Tuesday Night Fights, Tony Khan's Tweets, TNT Champs, and Jade's Arrival - WWE and AEW October 9-15 Oct 16, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about the biggest feud going today: Theresa vs Kathy in the Golden Bachelor. Kathy has started a sable to rival an all female DX, and Theresa is out there like Triple H as the cerebral assassin. Gerry might have a problem on his hands as Tyler questions the age of some of the women on the show.
Another major beef is Tony Khan vs Everyone, but specifically Vince McMahon, the WWE, and a lot of E-Drones online. If fighting quarter roll controversy and a ratings beatdown wasn’t enough, he’s fighting @rasslinfan29187473191734. NXT took home nearly a million viewers, but was it actually a win?
Two things the guys discuss about major wins on this episode: Christian Cage as TNT champion and Jade Cargill’s WWE presentation as she transitions to the company. Is Christian the most complete TNT champion ever? Will Jade be able to maintain all of her personality in a PG world? Tyler and Brad share their thoughts.

Taylor and Travis, Tuesday Wars, Timeless Toni, Drake, and Golden Roses - WWE and AEW October 2-8 Oct 09, 2023

Show notes

This week, the guys talk about what everybody else is talking about: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Tyler has doubts about how real the relationship is. Speaking of relationships, the Golden Bachelor marches on in another edition of A Rose from Tyler. Plus, the return of Hot Take Ty as Tyler talks about Drake’s newest album.
The WWE universe has separated and then merged NXT more times than can be counted, and this coming Tuesday is stacked to meet the movement of AEW Dynamite. The guys break down their thoughts on this, on the Cody Rhodes/Jey Uso press conference, Big Bill getting his first taste of gold, and the debut of the magnificent Timeless Toni Storm.
