Megan’s out this week, but she’ll be back next episode when we dive even deeper into the OTQ results.
Rachel catches us up on how her own running has been going lately and Karen shares another update on her egg-freezing journey. There’s also a detour into Rachel’s story about taking a fall in a high school race, plus some of Karen’s latest product recs.

Karen and Megan also break down the lawsuit everyone’s talking about: a former D1 runner is suing Nike, claiming their carbon plated shoes led to a sesamoid stress fracture.
To wrap up the episode, Karen and Megan answer a listener question about iron infusions: how to get them, what they do for ferritin levels, and if there's any side effects to know about.

Karen and Megan reunite for the first time since mile 24 of the Indianapolis Marathon for an overdue recap of Megan’s 2:41, four minute personal best. While it’s hard to be disappointed, she’s hungry for more and has an exciting new brand backing her OTQ chase.
In other news, friend of the pod Molly Seidel was in town and witnessed Karen’s unfortunate struggle of moving a couch into her apartment. Karen shares her plans to join Molly in an upcoming stint in Flagstaff and get into the parody documentary industry. We also spitball some ideas for marathon expos (imagine having a hair braiding station!) and discuss the controversial topic of wearing watches to formal events.
This week’s Chick Chat prompts an important discussion: when do you retire your running shoes? Plus, we’ll be rooting for our alma maters Notre Dame and Northwestern at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
