Listening on the Sofa Will Never be the Same Again Jul 07, 2026

Show notes

Despite the "progress" of Man I continually get vexed by the modern society need to reinvent the Wheel. So many things are packaged in new and "exciting" ways but they go by other simpler names and simpler methods from years ago when they were also cheaper.

Is Democracy a Dumb Idea? Jul 07, 2026

Show notes

Another tool of the establishment called Nigel has resigned as an MP only to run for election again for the very same job. I personally am sick of this pantomime. Aren't you?

I question the concept of democracy because it clearly does not work or is it not meant to?

Daily Steps. SILENCE! Jul 04, 2026

Show notes

Embrace Silence when feeling failure: for me it is both a blanket and a punishment stick. In a world filled with constant noise and distractions, many people find it hard to embrace silence, I think they may yearn it. Silence can be a powerful tool for reflection, creativity, and emotional growth. This exploration is inspired by my own failure to click on the right bloody button! If you have nothing good to say then don't say anything at all.

Daily Steps. Does Beauty Enrich or Drain Your Life? Jul 02, 2026

Show notes

As a counter to a prior episode I look at the subject of beauty. We crave it, want, need it, hate it. It's almost up there with the age old villains of society like sex and money (it's no doubt involved in both).

In a world that often equates beauty with worth, the concept of ugliness can feel heavy and burdensome. It stops me going out and taking up social opportunity, but what does it truly mean to be ugly? In this episode, I dive into its definitions, societal implications, and the power of perception.
