Nebrasketball looks to get to 6-0 tonight against Duquesne at PBA…what if they get to 7-0 before the Creighton game? Nov 22, 2023

Show notes

-Duquesne is no pushover in the A-10, having just one loss this season (to Princeton), and it should be a challenging game for the Huskers

-However, Nebraska is favored tonight…and if they win, all that’s in their way of a 7-0 start before the game against Creighton is Cal State Fullerton, which you feel good about winning that game

-Can you imagine both the Jays and Huskers possibly being undefeated this many games into the year?

Matt Rhule says he thinks Tony White should pursue a head coaching job if he’s able…for Nebraska fans, though, how important is staff continuity? Nov 21, 2023

Show notes

-White has had a great year coaching the defense, and Rhule said (as we mentioned earlier) he thinks Tony should go be a head coach if he’s able and the job is right

-Compare that to a program like Iowa, where it feels like they never lose staff members to other jobs….Phil Parker has been their DC since 2013, but why hasn’t he been up for coaching jobs?

-Same goes for someone like Brent Venables/Bud Foster…Venables did finally leave for a HC job but it took many years for him to finally leave….Foster was at VA Tech forever and never left..why?

-Rhule also was high on Chubba Purdy’s performance, and said if Tony White has a chance to be a head coach that he should take it---but only if it’s the right fit for him
