Northwestern has seen enough positive things from David Braun to name him their permanent head coach next year Nov 16, 2023

Show notes

-Everyone (rightly) mocked Northwestern before this season, coming off of a 1-win campaign and the offseason issues that led to Pat Fitzgerald’s firing a month before the year

-Instead of having a terrible year, Northwestern instead is 5-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play, and that has led to the university letting David Braun go from interim to permanent coach. What a job by him…anyone have a problem with him getting the main job without a search?

As painful as the last 2 weeks have been for Nebraska football, they can really exorcise a LOT of demons if they were to beat Wisconsin on Saturday Nov 16, 2023

Show notes

-We all know it’s been bad against the Badgers for a while---Nebraska hasn’t beaten Wisconsin since 2012, and there’s been several close, painful losses in recent years in that stretch

-Nebraska also hasn’t won at Wisconsin in general since 1966….as painful as the last 2 weeks have been with losses to Michigan State and Maryland, all can be forgiven with a road win that doesn’t have to be seen as surprising, but is understandable if labeled as such

-Also, Nebrasketball took on Stony Brook last night…did Fred Hoiberg’s squad get to 4-0?
