We’ve reached the point of the season that we hoped we’d never reach: needing to beat Iowa to get to a bowl game Nov 20, 2023

Show notes

-Nebraska was proud of their undefeated October, as they should be with wins over Illinois, Northwestern and Purdue. Sadly, November has resulted in 3 losses to Michigan State, Maryland and Wisconsin, and now they sit at 5-6 with one game to go

-The goal was always a bowl game, but it feels a little hollow now since Nebraska has lost 3 straight games—the good news is that Iowa doesn’t have much to play for, as they’ve clinched the West title

-Iowa opens as a 1.5 point favorite and the over/under is 27.5 points for Friday’s game…

Nebraska’s losing streak to Wisconsin extends to 10 in a row, as the Huskers blow a 14-0 lead and fall in OT, 24-17, in Madison Nov 20, 2023

Show notes

-It was such a great start for Chubba Purdy and the Huskers, scoring on their first 2 drives and taking a 14-0 lead on the legs and arm of Purdy…and then it all fell apart

-The defense had one of their most subpar games of the year, special teams let Nebraska down—Brian Buschini, what is going on?---and clock management issues at the end of both halves led to Nebraska’s demise

-Nebraska, by the way, has not scored a single point in 7 straight OT games, and has 9 yards of offense collectively in those 7 OTs. Horrendous.
