With Brian Callahan fired in Tennessee, it continues a disturbing trend for 4 straight years now Oct 14, 2025

Show notes

The first fired coach this year is Callahan with the Titans after a 4-19 tenure in which nothing really went right at all. They welcome in the Patriots (4-2) this week---coached by their former head coach, Mike Vrabel

This is now 4 straight occasions where the No. 1 overall pick (as a QB) has had their head coach fired during their rookie season: Trevor Lawrence (2021 – Urban Meyer); Bryce Young (2023 – Frank Reich); Caleb Williams (2024 – Matt Eberflus); and Cam Ward (2025 – Brian Callahan)

Show notes

The coaching search is a fun thing to do when you’re having a bad year to take your mind off the product on the field and the disappointment that it is

It’s time for a B1G Power Rankings update…how close is Indiana to surpassing Ohio State on top, and how far does Penn State fall now? Oct 14, 2025

Show notes

Indiana will be ranked 2nd likely by The Stool today, but there’s every argument imaginable for why they should be first…is an Ohio State/Indiana B1G title game imminent?

As for Penn State…0-3 in conference play with losses to UCLA and Northwestern…they could easily move to dead last IF NOT for the horrendous Wisconsin Badgers. Are we ready to rank Wisconsin dead last?

We’re getting closer to a time where we can start taking stats seriously, and it’s time to give Emmett Johnson some more love Oct 14, 2025

Show notes

As of today, Emmett Johnson sits 8th in the country in rushing yards with 650 yards---on pace for 1,300 yards at the moment—and he’s 2nd in the conference in rush yards behind Justice Haynes

Johnson obviously comes off a massive game vs. Maryland, which makes you wonder—can he keep this pace up or will he struggle once November hits?
