Interview with Rising Indie Artist Darkside hosted by Qween$Ching Sep 26, 2016
    Show notes

Darkside (born Kevin Anderson) was raised in the streets of Baltimore City. Born amongst four other siblings, Darkside developed a love for music at the age of 2. Being of Jamaican decent, music was in his blood. “Ever since he could walk and talk, you would see him hanging around his father a lot”, said his mother. “He would watch him spin records on his 12 technique turntables. From that moment, we knew music was his road to success”. Darksides’ father was a “disc jockey”. So when he noticed his sons’ desire to learn, he became his mentor. At the age of 8, his father began to teach him the basics. With the seed planted, Darkside wanted to become one of the youngest DJ’s to ever set foot in Baltimore City. By 10 years of age, he knew how to turn on his father’s entire music system from beginning to end in sequence. “I remember the summer of ’96”, Darkside said. My dad and I rode to Home Depot to purchase plywood, wood glue, nails, and a bunch of other things. At the time I was thinkin

Interview with Rising Indie Artist J-Suave hosted by Qween$Ching Sep 13, 2016
    Show notes

JSuave is a rapper turned producer from Houston, TX. Born in the late 80’s Suave missed most of what is considered the golden era of Hip Hop, but fell in love as soon as he was exposed to the art form. He began recording early on to cassette tape with the help of his brother, J~Shawn, and cousin, Clizzy Houston.

He continued to pursue a recording career that eventually peaked his interest in music production. He became so interested that he enrolled in a multi media institution in Orlando FL, where he graduated with an associate degree in recording arts.

After graduation the real test began, the test of patience, endurance, and skill. Through the ups and downs of the music business and in the face of adversity he maintains and evolves.

With the years spent perfecting his craft and all he has learned about music he emerges the next dominate force in music. Peace, Love, Faith, Suave.

Interview with Rising Indie Artist Jay Elle hosted by Qween$Ching Aug 08, 2016
    Show notes

My name is Jay Elle. I am a singer, songwriter, and guitar player. I write pop songs, most often appearing under the label “singer-songwriter.” The songs are a bit on the mellow side for the most parts these days. Since it’s only my guitar and myself at the moment you might say that the overall sound could also fit in the urban-folk category. I play a nylon string Ovation guitar which gives me a fairly unique sound. Think of it as a reprieve from the digital world for a moment, a vacation island for your ears.

I live in New York City. The city that never sleeps and where music doesn’t sleep either, not even for a catnap.

I admire anyone who writes well-crafted songs from Cole Porter to many contemporary writers you hear on the radio today, in all genre. Of course, I have my preferences, writers who combine lyrics and music in a very unique way, and happen to be amazing musicians and singers, some of which are now classics: Billy Joel, Freddie Mercury, Paul McCartney, Sting..

    Show notes

JCraig is an emerging force on the music entertainment landscape, launching out of total obscurity after overcoming addiction, tragedy, and transforming himself round by round into a reliable Pop and R&B headliner.

In a southern town, Memphis, home of STAX, is where you’ll find JCraig working diligently to uphold the rich musical excellence from the town’s iconic legends such as Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Aretha, Tina & Ike, Elvis Presley, Kirk Whalum, and Pop star Justin Timberlake. Now, there’s JCraig and he’s in a league of his own these days and seems to be transcending time and the complaints that he should throw in the towel. But, how could he? Music is in his hands, his head—it’s all over him.

This PK was the youngest boy of five, born to a Bishop. From the earliest moments ,he was singing and playing guitar in the church. He became an accomplished musician. It was obvious to his peers in New York that an album was in the making. Oftentimes, they would par ooze the musical cre

    Independent Artist 1sPlace Poe’t goes 1-on-1 w/ JOPAUL on RAIRADIO Jul 11, 2016
    Show notes

I am 1sPlace Poe't a.k.a The Inebriated Writer. Pour me some cognac and pass me a lighter. Before it's over they'll be calling me Sire praying I'll let them buy me out of my empire, but I'm not for sale. All Hail King 1sPlace!

I'm a musician's magician making miraculous visions with physician's precision. I'm different. No really, I'm different. It's apparent with each poetic lyric I mention. I'm versatile and cinematic.

I keep your attention since my music is motion pictured cleverly painted with melodies and harmonies, colored with in red black and green like New Testament scriptures. 3 Stacks inspired me, K Lamar ignited me, but I only write for me. No ghost in sight by me.

Many stacks they wire me. I'm my own boss, don't need anybody to hire me. I made the decision to be more independent after a manager fired me and now I'm in the position to early retire, but I still got more desires. I encourage you to do the same.

No lie. But I'm not thru with my mission,
