DJ LOMAXX TALKS RISING SUCCESS WITH ARTIST WINE!! May 07, 2017

Show notes

Searching for success in everything he does, Kansas City-bred Hip-hop artist Wine, is a man of substance. Currently based in Atlanta, his movement is as smooth as it is refreshing. With his focus more so on his craft than the fame, he’s effectively setting himself apart from the norm.

“I think a lot of artists get caught up in making money and their image, not really focusing on the music itself,” states Wine. “When your real, image doesn’t matter because people can pick up on it when they hear your music. I know I speak about a lot of the same things other artist do, good and bad, but at the end of the day you can hear my creative spirit through all the tracks that I make.”

Introduced to music at the age of 9, Wine played 3 instruments before ultimately settling on the drums in middle school. Although during this time he also began writing rhymes it wouldn’t be until later years that it would come back around. After, noticing his ability to pen some pretty good songs, he began t

B.L. Da Lyfe

(Botney Collins)

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

There is something about a self-made man -- especially in Hip Hop these days where most folks earn their spot based on association. You know, those “Superficial Stars” who are more famous for who they’re signed to, who they’re sleeping with, or who they’re beefing with. Their “Story” is the star. Their music is an afterthought.

By contrast, there is a certain respect reserved for those who make a way from no way out; who turn adversity and struggle into the soundtrack of their own triumph, and find a way to weave their life’s joy and growing pains into melodic rhythms that move the masses... We call these folks MCs (Masters of Ceremony), and they are a rarity in today’s world of instant gratification.

Born in Muskegon Michigan, as unpretentious and blue collar as it gets, in an era when a man lived or died on his word and his will to survive, BL Da Lyfe is a true MC in every sense of the word. Music is

DJ LOMAXX TALKS RISING SUCCESS & LAUNCHING GFXTV WITH ARTIST J-BATTERS! Apr 07, 2017

Show notes

Kenneth Pettway Jr (born December 31st, 1983) better known by his stage name J-Batters, is an American rapper from the Forgotten City of Buffalo, NY. The name J-Batters was self-selected and came from an old mobster who goes by the name of Tony Accardo aka Joe Batters. In the mid/late 1900's Accardo worked his way up to the Boss position in The Chicago Outfit and was given the name “Joe Batters” by Al Capone.

As the barrage of gangster rappers rapidly began to decrease during the crossover from the late 90s into the 20th century, many hardcore Hip Hop heads are left in limbo, awaiting the next real hardcore lyricist to emerge and do it on as big of scale as 50 Cent did, controlling the underground street scene while still selling well over 10 Million copies of "Get Rich Or Die Trying." Sounds pretty far-fetched according to today’s high volume of music downloading, but in Batters words “nothing is too far-fetched when you keep your faith in God”.
