Interview with Rising Indie Artist Suave Hosted by Qween$Ching May 25, 2016
    Show notes

Born Oct 2nd at the height of the 90’s, Suave entered the world along with the new voice of rap music which set the tone for a life aligned with his style of delivery: raw, stylized and unapologetic. Having grown up all over the popularly coined DMV (D.C., Maryland & Virginia) area, the young artist began to explore his wild side as a youth which included playing sports and getting into mischief like most children, watching cartoons and acting out some of his favorite martial arts films. For the amount of time spent “discovering” the world, Suave spent a great deal of time alone. During this period, he began to embrace his true passion for music and began singing in the choir at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Washington, DC.

However, the choir life didn’t withstand the calling for the streets as the unorthodox Suave took to the streets as a teenager and started becoming involved with the go-go bands who’ve influenced the nation with the renowned sound of snares and bass mixed with a

Interview with Rising Indie Artist E-Reign hosted by Qween$Ching Apr 25, 2016
    Show notes

Emile Lapaix Jr., better known as E-Reign, is a hip hop artist from Long Island, New York. Introduced to hip hop culture at age 10, E-Reign began writing raps after being profoundly influenced by Nas, 2Pac and LL Cool J. Regardless of their career trajectories, all of these artists were born in New York and implemented that Big Apple flavor and mentality in all of their work, teaching E-Reign to keep the city close to him as he ventured out into the music industry and the world at large.

After originally starting out as part of a group recording in its basement with accessible resources, the rapper decided to take his solo career seriously, beginning to record hungrily and performing to improve his skill. Since then, E-Reign has been on a constant grind to establish himself in the industry, and lately the public has started to take notice; he was the recipient of the 2014 Forbes Music Inc. “Performance Artist of the Year” Award, was featured in The Source Magazine, The Hype Magazine

I have lived all over the world and that is credited to my father serving in the United States Army for most of my youth. Every track I write and every freestyle I spit comes from my experiences and how my live has evolved. My style is unorthodox but without question is always based on my life experiences at every level because if music is life, then my life both past and present is key to what I rap about.

I want to promote personal growth through an understanding that success does not come without struggle and failure not is100 percent negative. On another note I want people to hear my music not just with their ears but to hear to hear me with their hearts and open their minds. I don’t want for the music to draw fans based on lies and the exploits of others but for the world to hear and feel my music as I know I am speaking the way many people feel but may not have the ability to expre
