The Vitamin D DANGER They Ignored (For Profit) Feb 20, 2026
    Show notes

Is vitamin D safe to take at high doses, or will it cause toxicity? Vitamin D fear is common, but what about the fear of vitamin D deficiency? Discover the vitamin D truth you’ve been searching for, and the real reason why there’s so much vitamin D misinformation.

0:00 Introduction: Vitamin D myths and misinformation

    0:55 Is vitamin D a vitamin?

    1:41 Vitamin D explained

3:03 How much vitamin D should I take?

    3:30 What’s behind the vitamin D controversy?

    7:46 Vitamin D toxicity

    8:05 Vitamin D deficiency symptoms

Historically, humans were exposed to daily, intense, unfiltered sunlight without any sunscreen. We’ve been convinced that the sun is dangerous and that taking too much vitamin D is risky.

Vitamin D is not really a vitamin! You cannot get nearly enough vitamin D from food. When you’re exposed to the sun, your skin makes vitamin D with the help of cholesterol. Vitamin D acts like a hormone and turns on over 1000 different genes!

There are two systems of vitamin D. The first system supports bone and calcium regulation, and requires the liver and kidneys for conversion into its active form. The autocrine or paracrine system is rarely talked about. Through this second system, inactive vitamin D bypasses the kidneys and liver and is converted into its active form inside the cell. This system of vitamin D supports the immune system, brain, muscles, nervous system, breast tissue, colon, and prostate. This system needs 8000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D every day, while the other system only requires 600 to 800 IU every 3 weeks.

Vitamin D can significantly reduce cancer risk, posing a threat to the cancer drug industry, which makes over 300 billion dollars in revenue each year. Similarly, the Coimbra protocol is very effective at reversing autoimmune disease, which attacks another multi-billion-dollar industry. Vitamin D has also been shown to be beneficial for diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression.

Vitamin D toxicity is rare and would require extremely high doses of vitamin D taken for many months. The main problem associated with vitamin D toxicity is too much calcium in the blood, which can lead to kidney stones.

Vitamin D deficiency is incredibly common and can lead to immune suppression, decreased cognitive function, increased risk of cancer, and more. Vitamin D research often ignores the important cofactors magnesium and vitamin K2, which protect you from excess calcium accumulation.

How Cholesterol Was Made Scary Feb 19, 2026
    Show notes

Is cholesterol bad? Is low cholesterol safe? In this video, we’ll cover common cholesterol misinformation, how cholesterol was demonized, and the cholesterol truth you need to know now for better health.

👉 Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07

0:00 Introduction: When was cholesterol made scary?

    0:21 Cholesterol truth

    1:49 Two types of cholesterol

    3:19 What causes high cholesterol?

    3:44 Statin drug side effects

    5:57 Cholesterol and heart disease

6:34 The problem with low cholesterol

Our bodies make 3000 mg of cholesterol each day! Babies are born with higher cholesterol, and our brain is composed of it. Cholesterol is vital for our cell membranes, hormones, vitamin D, bile salts, repair, and immunity.

Cholesterol isn’t a poison; it’s an essential building block! When a doctor measures your cholesterol, they’re measuring the cholesterol in the blood, not what’s deep in the cells.

There are two types of cholesterol: HDL and LDL. HDL carries cholesterol from the cells back to the liver for recycling, while LDL delivers cholesterol to the cells. There are two types of LDL cholesterol: small, dense LDL and large, buoyant LDL. Only an advanced lipid profile can discern the difference.

Small, dense LDL particles can cause inflammation and other problems, but this typically occurs only when your glucose is high or you have insulin resistance. If you’re on a low-carb diet and you don’t have insulin resistance, you’ll have more large, buoyant LDL. If you have high levels of large, buoyant LDL, it is not pathogenic!

Cholesterol is a building block of the precursor of cortisol, so if you’re dealing with stress, it could be the reason your cholesterol is high. Testosterone is also made from cholesterol, so if you take a drug to lower cholesterol, your testosterone levels may suffer.

If you have low cholesterol, you won’t produce enough bile. This will interfere with your ability to absorb fat, and you also won’t have enough raw material to make vitamin D.

High cholesterol is not a disease! If your cholesterol is high, it’s important to understand why. Consuming refined sugar and starch can raise your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Inflammation and your body’s repair needs can also increase your levels.

Low cholesterol in older adults is associated with higher rates of death from all causes. Low cholesterol is linked to lowered immunity, depression, memory, and hormone issues. Cholesterol naturally rises in the winter and decreases in the summer. This could be related to your need for vitamin D.

Why Your House is Making you Sick and Tired Feb 18, 2026
    Show notes

Chronic disease isn’t just caused by what you eat. In this video, uncover the indoor lighting dangers you probably don’t know about! Find out how to stop circadian rhythm disruption, melatonin suppression, and other modern lighting health problems.

Download Dr. Berg’s Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/46POGyB

0:00 Introduction: Artificial light health effects

    1:45 Lux explained

2:50 Why indoor lighting is bad for your health

4:36 Indoor lighting and melatonin suppression

    4:57 Indoor lighting and sleep

7:44 How to improve sleep and reduce circadian rhythm disruption

Light affects the circadian system, which in turn influences your mood, metabolism, hormones, sleep, and more. The circadian rhythm is a clock controlled by light and dark signals.

In our modern-day environment, the days are too dim and the nights are too bright. During the day, sunlight is filtered through glass, preventing exposure to UV and infrared light, and at night, we’re exposed to LED lights, TVs, phones, and tablets. We’re dealing with a lack of contrast!

Historically, humans were exposed to significantly more light during the day and minimal light at night. Modern lighting leads to melatonin suppression and affects your sleep and cortisol levels.

Most people are not getting the restful sleep that they need. This affects the metabolism, insulin, blood sugar, and mood. Research has shown that bright nighttime light exposure can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Increasing sunlight exposure alone can improve your blood sugar, while evening bright light exposure can worsen it.

Constant lighting is even considered psychologically harmful. Humans have evolved with significantly more light contrast, so we’re dealing with an ancestral mismatch.

To restore your circadian rhythm and combat the harmful effects of indoor lighting, try the following:

    1. Make your days aggressively brightEnsure adequate sun exposure before noon, and avoid wearing sunglasses.

    2. Make the night genuinely dark Turn off overhead lighting, use soft night-lights, and dim screens 3 hours before bed.

    3. Restore contrast Focus on bright light during the day and remove light sources from your room at night. Replace light bulbs with incandescent lights if possible.

Addressing the problems with modern light is one of the easiest ways to improve sleep naturally and restore your circadian rhythm.

    It’s Not Toxins. It’s This Feb 17, 2026
    Show notes

Have you tried a liver detox without any improvement? The problem isn’t toxin overload, it’s impaired detoxification. Discover the most important detox mineral to help support your body’s natural detoxification pathways.

0:00 Introduction: The most important detox mineral

    0:30 Glutathione explained

    4:40 The best detox mineral

    4:56 Benefits of selenium

    6:27 Selenium sources

    7:29 Bile and detoxification

    9:04 How to detox naturally

People often think they’re dealing with toxin overload when the problem is with detoxification.

Glutathione is the master detoxification enzyme of the entire body. It protects the mitochondria, keeps hydrogen peroxide in check, protects cell membranes, and supports the function of other antioxidants in the body.

When your glutathione is low, you can not eliminate toxins. Glutathione’s most important function in your body is to protect your mitochondria. Many chronic illnesses are associated with mitochondrial damage, including cancer.

Toxins attack the electron transport chain in the mitochondria, which generates energy. You need energy to detoxify your body! Glutathione helps the body eliminate fat-soluble toxins. It also helps prevent damage to cellular membranes caused by seed oils.

Glutathione supplements are poorly absorbed and break down very quickly. To make glutathione, you need the amino acids cysteine and glycine. You also need selenium, the most important mineral for detox, which is intimately involved in activating glutathione.

Selenium is also vital for thyroid function. If your thyroid is under-functioning, you won’t produce adequate bile, and you won’t be able to detoxify.

The best source of selenium is Brazil nuts. Two per day supplies all the selenium that you need. Other foods high in selenium include Eggs, organ meats, Cruciferous vegetables, Shellfish, and Fish.

Modern-day soils do not have adequate selenium, so it’s easy to become deficient. This can compromise your body’s detoxification pathways, thyroid function, immune function, and more.

Healthy bile flow is vital for detoxification. If you decide to go on a detox, try taking TUDCA a few days beforehand.

There are two types of bile—one is made by the liver, and the other is made by your microbes. Issues with your microbiome could also lead to low bile levels.

To support natural detoxification, focus on the following:

    • Adequate bile

    • Healthy thyroid

    • Selenium

    • Healthy microbiome

The Truth About Vitamin C (It’s Not What You Think) Feb 13, 2026
    Show notes

Vitamin C is well-known for its immune health benefits, but is vitamin C really a vitamin at all? In this video, I’ll cover health facts about vitamin C, including the benefits, the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency, and how you can increase your levels.

👉 Download Dr. Berg's Free Daily Health Routine: https://drbrg.co/45qtO07

0:00 Introduction: What is vitamin C?

    0:16 Vitamin C explained

    1:16 Vitamin C deficiency

    1:53 Vitamin C supplements

    3:00 Vitamin C science

    3:34 Vitamin C deficiency symptoms

    6:01 Sources of vitamin C

7:32 How to increase your vitamin C levels

What if I told you that vitamin C isn’t a vitamin at all? Vitamin C is a stress survival molecule! The body uses vitamin C when it’s under certain types of stress, such as:

    • Infection

    • Inflammation

    • Injury

    • Emotional stress

    • Physical stress

    • Low oxygen

If you’re on a high-sugar or high-carb diet, vitamin C will not work as efficiently in your body. Humans cannot produce vitamin C, and rely entirely on dietary sources.

Around 90% of vitamin C supplements are synthetic and produced from corn sugar in factories, mostly manufactured overseas. Synthetic vitamin C is incredibly cheap, costing the producer around 30 cents per bottle. Check your vitamin C labels to ensure it’s not just ascorbic acid.

The vitamin C molecule is structurally similar to sugar and enters the cell in the same way. So if you consume a lot of sugar or carbs, you won’t be able to adequately absorb vitamin C.

Vitamin C supports the mitochondria, which is why you might feel fatigued if you’re deficient. It helps you handle stress, recycle other antioxidants, and absorb iron, leaving you feeling tired, weak, foggy, and unable to recover if you don’t have enough. Vitamin C also helps your cells properly respond to oxygen.

Scurvy is the end-stage of a severe vitamin C deficiency. Subclinical scurvy is a modern-day issue characterized by slow healing, easy bruising, frequent infections, chronic fatigue, and chronic inflammation. Bleeding gums are also a common symptom of vitamin C deficiency.

Some of the best sources of vitamin C are bell peppers, papaya, and raw sauerkraut. Heat and oxygen exposure degrade vitamin C, so pasteurized orange juice often lacks it. Fermented vegetables, especially sauerkraut, are loaded with vitamin C.

To increase your vitamin C levels and avoid vitamin C deficiency:

    • Consume ½ cup of fermented vegetables daily

    • Consume bell peppers

    • Reduce stress

    • Reduce sugar intake

    • Go on a low-carb diet

    8:38 Ozone therapy

    9:19 Dry fasting

    11:40 Ice baths

14:03 Do celebrity health hacks really work?

    1. Peptides

Peptides are injectables used by athletes and celebrities for a wide range of health issues. I tried them for my osteoarthritis, but didn’t notice much change. Myofascial stretching is much more effective for osteoarthritis. Omega-3 fatty acids, cod liver, and eliminating seed oils from your diet can also be beneficial.

    2. Stem cells

Stem cell therapy is very expensive, and the small improvements were not worth the cost for me. Instead, try prolonged fasting to stimulate stem cells naturally.

    3. Intermittent hypoxic/hyperoxic training

This involves using a mask to strategically increase or decrease your oxygen intake during exercise. Reducing your oxygen intake during exercise mimics high-altitude training. As your cells become oxygen-deprived, your body generates new capillaries, increasing oxygen delivery to certain parts of the body. This can be incredibly beneficial for inflammation. To mimic the benefits of hypoxic training without the price tag, try a high-altitude training mask.

    4. Ozone therapy

Ozone therapy involves removing your blood, oxygenating it, and reinjecting it. This can be good for hidden infections, but try exercise, saunas, cruciferous vegetables, intermittent fasting, and prolonged fasting to naturally strengthen your body’s detoxification systems instead.

    5. Dry fasting

Fasting without food or water can trigger survival genes, creating an intense effect on the body. You also burn more fat when you don’t drink water. Body fat is converted to water, called biological water, during a dry fast.

    6. Ice baths

Ice baths lower your body temperature, producing a therapeutic effect. I’ve found this to be incredibly beneficial for inflammation and arthritis, and have even noticed improvements in cognitive function and mood after an ice bath. Ice baths can also help boost weight loss!

A new bill is being proposed to control who is allowed to speak about agriculture. This bill uses defamation as a weapon and essentially bans freedom of speech about the health effects of certain foods.

Florida already has a law allowing farmers to sue someone who spreads false information about food. These discussions are referred to as "food libel" or "food disparagement."

Investigative journalists have uncovered internal documents from large agricultural and chemical companies that have shown the real goal of the food disparagement law. It’s not about protecting the farmers; it’s about silencing health critics.

This bill aims to silence environmental groups, journalists, activists, and scientists by making lawsuits so expensive and daunting that critics will simply give up. The term for this approach is called “chilling free speech."

The old law applied only to perishable foods, while the new bill removes that classification. This expands the law to all agricultural products, including sugar. What’s even worse, this law includes any agricultural practices used in production. This means the criticism of pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, fertilizers, chemical runoff, water contamination, and more can all be treated as disparagement.

It’s well known that sugar causes insulin resistance, fatty liver, chronic inflammation, type 2 diabetes, and more. The connection between sugar and chronic disease is not a rumor. If this bill is passed and someone speaks out about sugar or pesticides, even if it's true, they could be sued!

Although this bill is coming out of Florida, it's important regardless of where you live because Florida crops are sold nationwide! Legal experts warn that this could open the door to lawsuits that go way beyond the state. We do not need more legal protection for powerful industries or increased corporate control of food.

Think about what ultra-processed food companies can get away with if this bill is passed! If you believe ultra-processed foods are at the root of over 80% of chronic disease, please sign this petition. If you live in Florida, call your representative and complain!
