Protostar begin to learn about their new found ship and the United Federation of Planets when they activate a training assistant for cadets, a hologram of Kathryn Janeway.

Dal decides that he should be the captain and proceeds to make a series of bad decisions regarding the course, ship board operations and interpersonal skills with the crew. Meanwhile, Rok-Tahk is tasked with keeping Gwyn under control in the brig and catching her once she's escaped.

Will Gwyn get off the ship and back to her father? Has Dal led the crew down a path they can't escape from? We discuss that and more on this episode of Discovering Trek: Prodigy!

Lost & Found Nov 01, 2021

Show notes

This week, Mike and Emilie are joined by Trek Geeks executive producers Bill & Dan, to discuss the debut of Star Trek: Prodigy, "Lost & Found". Dal is one of the many "unwanted" on Tars Lamora, a mining colony, and is trying to find a way out. He begins to receive help and telepathic messages from Zero, a Medusan fugitive on the colony.

Gwyn, the daughter of The Diviner who runs the colony, is tasked with trying to get Dal to find Zero. She sends him with a Brikar, Rok-Tahk, and the two of them make a startling discovery, a Starfleet vessel U.S.S. Protostar. They enlist a Tellarite engineer, Jankom Pog, and an unknown alien, Murf, to get the Protostar flying and off Tars Lamora.

Will they make it off or will Gwyn and her father prevail? We discuss that and more on this episode of Discovering Trek: Prodigy!

So Discovering Trek listeners, it seems that shore leave is happening for half of the Enterprise. Rest and relaxation for some and a big ole nothing for others. Sato truly impresses the locals and Phlox needs uninterrupted hibernation nap time, but that doesn't quite go as planned. Well at least nothing goes wrong for any of the other crew while on Risa, right? Right?

In this episode, Co-hosts Kasey and Sara talk about all that plus what their thoughts are of the 2 dogs is this episode. And we ain't talking about Portos and Rhylo!

Sara and Kasey hope you'll join them for the penultimate episode of season one of Discovering Trek: Enterprise. Come in your finest vacation attire and explore the First Frontier with us.

This week on Star Trek: Lower Decks, a Starfleet Drill Instructor with ulterior motives arrives on the Cerritos to test the crew. The Lower Deckers and the senior staff switch roles and as one might expect, things don't go as they all hoped. The Borg, the Mirror Universe, and the Ancient West are all fair game in the holopods, but a real emergency with a Crystalline Entity will show just how special the crew of our favorite California Class Starship really is!

In this episode, Co-hosts Sara and Kasey talk about all that plus the simmering effects 9/11 had on the writing and narrative course of the first season of Enterprise.

Sara and Kasey hope you'll join them on Discovering Trek: Enterprise for a bite to eat, preconceived notions to be challenged and some curious discussion. Come explore the First Frontier with us!
