53: Oral and Dental Toxicity (Part 1) Jun 14, 2023
    Show notes

Sinclair Kennally discusses the topic of oral and dental toxicity and its impact on gut health. The episode highlights the significance of gut health for overall well-being and explains how gut dysfunction can originate in the mouth due to hidden oral infections and dental toxicity.

Amalgam fillings containing mercury are identified as a significant issue affecting many Americans and serving as the primary source of mercury exposure. The podcast notes that even individuals who have never had amalgam fillings can still be affected by maternal-fetal toxin transfer, which occurs across generations.

Kennally mentions that while the American Dental Association has acknowledged the potential drawbacks of dental amalgams, they continue to be widely used due to their durability and effectiveness in handling larger cavities. However, it is emphasized that approximately 80% of the mercury in amalgams off-gases at room temperature and higher, with 80% of that remaining in the body long term. This long-term mercury exposure can harm the nervous, digestive, and immune systems. Mercury is shown to directly impact the digestive system by contributing to a leaky gut and perpetuating dysbiosis.

There are various symptoms that can arise from mercury toxicity, including immune issues, skin problems, and disruptions in sleep and digestion. Understanding the connection between dental health and gut health is deemed crucial, and the episode suggests employing strategies to directly tackle dental toxicity. The Rapid Gut Reset Program is mentioned as a resource that offers at-home therapies and access to dental experts

    Communicating With A Symptom

In this episode of Your Health Reset, Sinclair Kennally discusses the importance of communicating with our bodies and exploring symptoms. She talks about the Western culture's tendency to hold ourselves in a pattern of illness and how we can change our relationship with our bodies to achieve optimal health and wellness.

Sinclair Kennally stresses the significance of listening to our bodies and approaching symptoms with curiosity, not fear. We should slow down, respect our body's wisdom, and recognize that its signals have a purpose.

Kennally recommends practical strategies like finding a quiet space, using tapping or a butterfly hug and eliminating distractions to better understand our body's messages. By doing this, we can strengthen our connection with our bodies, detect signals earlier, and avoid relying solely on emergencies for self-care.

Understanding the first signs of trouble and differentiating reactions, flares, and healing responses can lead to a more sophisticated approach to healing and achieving true health mastery. It is essential to reclaim our body sovereignty and foster a loving, respectful relationship with our bodies.

By communicating with our bodies and approaching symptoms with curiosity, we can tap into their innate wisdom and interconnectedness. We should evolve as a culture to recognize that symptoms are not accidental but purposeful responses, potentially even part of a healing strategy.

50: Is Your Liver Overloaded? Signs and Symptoms Jun 07, 2023
    Show notes

Is your liver overloaded? Signs and symptoms

Sinclair Kennally is the co-founder of the Detox Rejuvenation, and Meditation Rx and an expert on resolving the root causes of complex chronic illnesses. In this episode of Your Health Reset, Sinclair discusses the signs and symptoms that indicate an overloaded liver.

The liver plays a vital role in absorbing and storing crucial nutrients and minerals like vitamins D, E, and K, as well as calcium. It produces healthy bile, stored in the gallbladder, which is essential for breaking down fats and absorbing nutrients.

However, toxins can make bile thick and sluggish, slowing down its flow and affecting the liver's ability to cleanse the blood and process hormones. The liver's connection with the thyroid is also affected, as it requires proper liver function to convert T4 to T3. Liver overload from xenoestrogens can lead to hormone imbalances.

The liver decides where toxins are eliminated, prioritizing the digestive tract over the kidneys, but struggles to build bile and ends up reusing bile salts with attached toxins. Liver distress can cause gallstones, skin issues, bloating, and sleep difficulties.

Liver cleanses and protocols can alleviate stagnation, improving overall health and emotional resilience. Understanding the liver's needs is crucial for effective liver cleanses and addressing symptoms. Taking control of our liver journey can lead to increased energy, patience, creativity, and healthy skin.

    Neurometabolic Integration

On this episode of Your Health Reset, Sinclair Kennally invites Dr. Peter Kahn to discuss the fascinating concept of the gut-brain axis and functional medicine. Dr. Kahn, an expert in this field, sheds light on the intricate connections between the brain, immune system, and the gut.

Dysfunction in any one of these can lead to a cascade of neurological, immune, and digestive symptoms.

Dr. Kahn presents a simplified roadmap for addressing chronic illness by targeting its root causes. He highlights the critical role of fuel delivery in healing the brain, immune system, and gut.

Insufficient energy production and fuel delivery hinder effective detoxification and infection-fighting capabilities within the body. By addressing fuel delivery issues, such as stabilizing blood sugar levels, as the first step before other interventions like hormone replacement, individuals can avoid ineffective treatments and unnecessary detox reactions.

However, it is equally important to identify underlying causes like adrenal issues or chronic viral infections to achieve long-term improvement. With the right adjustments, individuals can experience a significant enhancement in their well-being.

Should You Try the Carnivore Diet? Common Mistakes and Surprising Benefits

In this podcast episode, Michael shares his personal journey of experimenting with various diets and food filters, from plant-based eating to smoothies. After struggling to find the right balance, he discovered success with an animal-based carnivore diet. Michael emphasizes the importance of individualized approaches to health and wellness and believes everyone should find what works best for them.

Belly breathing is really important to learn how to do well because, by the time we're an adult, we breathe through our shoulders and not through our diaphragm.

When we optimize vagus nerve functioning, the signs of vagus nerve function point to optimal health. One of the ways we can measure vagus nerve functioning is through something called heart rate variability.

There are particular probiotic strains that have been specifically shown to improve optimal neurotransmitter levels and help with depression and anxiety, manage stress, and reduce cortisol. We definitely want to get in our psychobiotic if we're having these concerns, while fixing the rest of the gut. And of course, omega-three and quercetin are really great healing nutrients for your gut too.

Exploring the Benefits of Coffee Enemas for Detox and Rejuvenation

    Highlights

One of the benefits of coffee enemas and why so many of our students rely on them when they're in the thick of the deep peeling process is because they're so good for supporting the release of deep liver stagnation. This is especially true if you're working on letting go of gallstones out of the gallbladder or the liver. Use distilled water with the equivalent coffee brew of three tablespoons of ground organic coffee. It may take you a while to work up to that. It may even a few months.

Start with the water enemas, move to coffee enemas, and you can start with a really low solution. If you're worried that you're not a good detoxer or that you react easily, you may start with a very diluted solution of the coffee itself.

You don't want air bubbles in your tube. It's basically like taking in gas bubbles, and that can be a little uncomfortable, and then you'll hold it as long as it's comfortable. In the beginning, you're just gonna practice taking in the coffee, remembering to clip it when you're done.
