Declutter Your Chaos – Mindful Minimalism

Welcome to Declutter Your Chaos, the podcast for women who are ready to take control of their homes and their lives.

Each episode blends practical, bite-sized decluttering strategies with a mindful, no-nonsense approach to the deeper emotional patterns that keep you stuck. We’ll uncover the “why” behind the clutter, reset your habits, and help you create a home that actually supports the life you want to live.

Create systems that stick—because they’re built around you, not what Instagram says your home should look like.

Whether your clutter is physical, mental, or emotional, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken.
You’re just ready for a change.

    Let’s do this together.
    Welcome to Declutter Your Chaos.

    Hey friends,

In today's episode, we're talking about the three simple systems that can transform your home and your peace of mind: a mindful morning routine, a 15-minute daily reset, and an intentional evening routine. But here's the secret — systems alone don't work without the essential foundation of self-worth.

    You'll learn:

    • Why self-worth and systems feed each other in a powerful upward spiral

    • The research-backed benefits of morning and evening routines

    • How a 15-minute daily reset prevents clutter from creeping back

    • Why mindfulness is the glue that keeps these systems grounded

    • How consistency rewires your identity long-term

If you're ready for a once-in-a-lifetime reset, my private coaching program is open at the current price until the end of this weekend. On August 31st, the price goes up by $1,000. This high-touch program is your chance to clear the clutter for good — and finally enjoy a peaceful home that stays that way.

    XO,

    Amber

270 | Housework Haters: How to Turn Your Rebellion Into Radical Self-Care Aug 26, 2025
    Show notes

    Hy Friends,

Do you ever feel like rebelling against housework is your way of saying "I'm not playing this game"? 🙋‍♀️ Maybe you leave the dishes, ignore the laundry, or let the clutter pile up because it feels like freedom.

Here's the paradox: sometimes saying no to chores is self-love. And sometimes saying yes to chores is also self-love. The key isn't the task—it's the energy and mindset you bring to it.

In this episode of Declutter Your Chaos, I'll show you how to: ✨ Recognize when skipping chores is actually an act of rebellion that honors your needs. ✨ Reframe cleaning as a radical act of self-love (instead of an obligation). ✨ Use one simple question before every task: Am I rebelling through self-love, or am I tending through self-love? ✨ Shift your mindset so that even ordinary chores become an opportunity to recharge, restore, and remind yourself of your worth.

We'll dig into research on motivation, stress, and cognitive reframing—and I'll give you approachable practices to help you check your energy in the moment. Because when you change the why behind your chores, you change the way you feel in your home.

So whether you're resisting housework or craving order, this episode will help you find peace in the paradox.

    XO,

    Amber

269 | I Have to Get Rid of This!?!? | How to Transform Decluttering from a Chore to a Privilege Aug 22, 2025
    Show notes

Ever feel like decluttering is just one more chore on your endless to-do list? In this episode, I share the story of moving into a new neighborhood, feeling completely alone, and how a simple plate of cookies helped me shift my energy from isolation to connection.

Decluttering works the same way. When we reframe it from "I have to get rid of this" to "I get to give this," the whole process transforms. Instead of feeling like drudgery, letting go becomes a privilege — a chance to create space, share abundance, and invite new energy into your life.

If you've ever struggled to stay motivated while decluttering, this perspective shift will change everything.

267 | Don't Talk to Me About Self Care | What is Self Care? Aug 15, 2025
    Show notes

    Hey Guys!

What if "self-care" isn't about bubble baths or spa days… but about cleaning your toilet?

Stay with me here. In today's episode of Declutter Your Chaos, I'm breaking down the myth of self-care, why the word selfless makes me want to scream, and how decluttering is actually one of the most radical acts of self-love you can practice.

    We'll talk about:

    • Why calling women selfless is not a compliment (and why I hate when people do it)

    • The difference between self-care and self-love — and why the language we use matters

    • Why decluttering is so much more than "just cleaning" — it's about self-worth, clarity, and reclaiming your energy

    • A simple 3-step plan to start treating decluttering as self-care, even if you only have 15 minutes

By the end of this episode, you'll have a clear, actionable way to nurture yourself that doesn't involve pretending a bubble bath will fix your exhaustion. Instead, you'll see how even the smallest act of clearing clutter can shift your energy, your mindset, and your sense of worthiness.

Because you deserve a home that supports you — not one that drains you.

    Hey Friends!

If you've ever started decluttering and then… just stopped, you're not alone. It's not because you're lazy. It's not because you're bad at organizing. And it's definitely not because you "just need more motivation."

There's often something deeper happening — something your clutter might actually be protecting you from.

I hope this episode shifts something in you and allows you to move forward. It's about who we become in the process that creates the transformation of both you. and your home.

    Hey Friends,

Last week, I hosted a three day workshop that helped with what to do before, during and after the decluttering session. This is from Day 3. Ever finished a big decluttering session… only to find yourself surrounded by piles days (or weeks) later? This is the episode that makes sure that never happens again.

In Part 3 of our mindful decluttering series, we're tackling the final "P" — Processing. On Day 2, we created a task list to capture all those random thoughts, to-dos, and errands that popped up while you were purging. Today, we're putting that list to work.

    I hope it helps you!

    Hi friends 💛

In today's episode, I'm reading a beautiful email from a listener who said what so many of us feel: "Decluttering always falls to the bottom of my to-do list."

Sound familiar? I've been there. For years, I blamed the lack of time. Life was too full—work, kids, meals, driving, surviving. There was no room for decluttering because everything else felt so urgent.

But eventually, I reached a point where the clutter became symbolic. It represented how far down I had placed myself on my own list. And that's when something shifted.
