Review | Deadpool is Here and It's Amazing Feb 17, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #111 - Deadpool | Review - Look, we know Deadpool isn't a DC property. It's one of those terrible Fox/Marvel hybrid things. But you know what? We wanted to talk about it. And while we won't be doing a full episode for Civil War or whatever else, we hoped you would forgive us this transgression in honor of the 4th wall that our friend Wade Wilson so commonly breaks! So come, join us on an adventure full of ramblings about R-rated hits and what Warner Bros might do with the belief that a Lobo movie wouldn't be half a bad idea (Ambush Bug would be better--maybe)... Let's talk Colossus! Negasonic Teenage Warhead! Copycat ... er, Vanessa! Weasel! And of course, DEADPOOL!

Legends of Tomorrow 1x04 - White Knights | Review Feb 15, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #109 - Legends of Tomorrow 1x04 - White Knights | Review - This may be the worst episode of Legends of Tomorrow yet, and that might be because it's completely tepid and sprinkled with some of the worse performances so far (and all from the usual suspects), but damn! Wentworth Miller is delightful! And so is Brandon Routh! And Dominic Purcell! We do wonder how long this show can go on with such poor ratings (and acting), but we are rooting for it! We would love to see them knock it out of the park!

Arrow 4x13 - Sins of the Father | Review Feb 15, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #108 - Arrow 4x13 - Sins of the Father | Review - Nyssa is trying to blackmail Oliver into getting Malcolm to give up the ring of Ra's Al Ghul to her in exchange for an elixre derived from the blue lotus flower that was protected by Katana... sigh. Easier solution? Kill Malcolm! Sure he's Thea's dad, and sure she's about to die and needs the lotus elixre, but when both Diggle AND Felicity tell you to kill Malcolm Merlin (who has caused you no end of grief over the years), you should probably just kill the bastard. Right? So here we are. Wondering why Oliver didn't kill him. And wondering why he never sees anything coming.

The Flash 2x13 - Welcome to Earth-2 | Review Feb 15, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #107 - The Flash 2x13 - Welcome to Earth-2 | Review - As we traverse the wormhole of the Speed Cannon with The Flash, Harry Wells, and Vibe, we see as Jay Garrick promises, "everything". Not only do we get to see John Wesley Shipp's Flash, but Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd, Jonah Hex, Conor Hawke Green Arrow, and a Legion flight ring! But that's not all! Killer Frost! Deathstorm! Reverb! And who could the mystery man in the metal mask be who seems to be knocking out morse code to Barry in Zoom's prison? Holy shit, this is a jam-packed episode, and we get all up in them Flash guts, kids! That sounds so gross. I'm sorry.

Lucifer 1x03 - The Would-Be Prince of Darkness | Review Feb 15, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #106 - Lucifer 1x03 - The Would-Be Prince of Darkness | Review - While Lucifer tries to convince a virgin football star to "give it up", we hope that Fox gives it up and cancels Lucifer -- or at least that's how we feel if they feel the need to remain on this tiresome track of pursuing a police procedural. Lucifer has an imposter who has stolen his identity while he helps the police solve a case of a dead woman who might have been about to blackmail the previously mentioned football star. Sigh. It was even boring typing it.

Supergirl 1x13 - For The Girl Who Has Everything | Review Feb 15, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #105 - Supergirl 1x13 - For The Girl Who Has Everything | Review - With little warning, Kara has been captured by the majestic and beautiful Black Mercy, a creature who maintains its symbiotic hold on its victim by giving them exactly what they want! But amidst hammy kryptonian speech and television fare monologues, do we as the audience get what we want? Join us as we discuss this loose adaptation of a classic Alan Moore tale!

Legends of Tomorrow 1x03 - Blood Ties | Review Feb 09, 2016

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #104 - Legends of Tomorrow 1x03 - Blood Ties | Review
So there are knife shards heading toward Kendra's heart! And a tiny Atom swimming through blood vessels! Snart goes to see his dad after grabbing the Maximillian Emerald, only to find that not everything is so cut and dry when time travel is concerned. Oh, and of course Vandal Savage wants to much up Hawkman's body in some weird cult ritual. All in a days work, right?

Arrow 4x12 - Unchained | Review Feb 09, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #103 - Arrow 4x12 - Unchained | Review
Roy is back in Star City, and Thea is real sick. Looks like she has to take a life or her life is taken... or something. But Roy! Oh, he's under the control of The Calculator though. And that dude is a MASTER hacker. Almost as badass as Felicity. I hope they don't have some kind of secret connection... Oh, and Holt continues to be awesome. So does Felicity. Let's talk about this Arrow, shall we?

The Flash 2x12 - Fast Lane | Review Feb 09, 2016

Show notes

WARNING: SPOILERS/NSFW - DC on SCREEN #102 - The Flash 2x12 - Fast Lane | Review
It's finally time for Harry Wells to be true to his word. It's time for him to begin stealing the Flash's speed for Zoom in exchange for his daughter! And he does so, which of course makes Barry slower... not much slower, but slow enough to keep him from helping Iris escape the arguably forgettable villain-of-the-week, Tarpit. But that's not all that's going on! Iris gets to blackmail someone, and Joe gets to learn a lesson about fatherhood! And here we thought he already knew everything...
