The search continues for the person who ambushed 33-year-old Jared Bridegan as he drove home with his 2-year-old daughter. Bridegan had dropped of his then 9-year old children to his ex-wife and was on his way home when shots rang out. Bridegan's ex, Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, has been under intense scrutiny. Reports say the Bridegan's marriage broke up after Fernandez had an affair. She denied it, but the fitness trainer alleged in the affair, confirms he did have a relationship with Fernandez.
Also a tattoo artist has come forward say that Fernandez said her life would be better if Jared Bridegan could "just ‘shut up.’ Fernandez then asked if any of the salon employees knew anybody that could ‘shut him up.’”
So far, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department hasn’t named a suspect in connection with the case and Gardner-Fernandez maintains her innocence.

The newly released FBI say the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins could not have fired without the trigger being pulled. Testing conducted by the FBI showed that internal components were intact and functional, and that no matter the position of the hammer, it would not fire without the trigger being pulled. Alec Baldwin continues to deny the action, saying on Chris Cuomo’s podcast, that "eveyone on the set knows what happened that day." Baldwin added that the only question now is who put a live round in the gun? A decision has yet to be made by the Santa Fe District attorney about any charges against the actor. However, Hutchins’ family named Baldwin in a pending wrongful death lawsuit.

Kaitlin Armstrong's trial for the murder of Moriah “Mo” Wilson is set for October. Armstrong entered a plea of not guilty and now her attorney is laying out her defense....cast doubt about the prosecution’s case against his client. Attorney Rick Cofer has demanded a speedy trial for Armstrong and entered multiple motions for evidence from the prosecution. The prosecution says both sides are still waiting on evidence. Cofer has also raised questions about the police investigation and whether cops ignored the possibility of another suspect.

Tyler and Sarah Schmidt and their 6-year-old daughter, Lula, die after an assault inside their camping tent. 9-year-old Arlo Schmidt survives, running to another campsite for help. Autopsies show the family members were shot, stabbed and strangled. Police say the man who killed the family was himself, camping nearby. In fact, the campsite to which Schmidt ran, belonged to the killer's family. His mother called 911. Investigators say Anthony Sherwin of La Vista, Nebraska carried out the attack, Police later found Sherwin’s body with an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. Sherwin's mother, Cecilia Sherwin, released a statement saying she and her family "refuse to believe the news" that their family member is a murderer.

The last words Randisha Love said to her mother, " I love you, Mommy." The teen girl was found lying in her own blood, shot, in the foyer of her home. Love, along with her mother, Katara Hamm, and three brothers, lived in College Park with Hamm's parents.
The grandparents weren't home. They were out of town attending a funeral. Hamm and her youngest son found Love, behind an unlocked, but unopened door.
Investigators say they're still following a few leads in the case, but no suspects have been named.
