Last week, on a one-on-one date, Brandon and Michelle stop at an ice cream truck and enjoy some tasty treats, while in Minnesota. SO, Danielle found an ice cream-related story for Megan to cover.

This is the story of an ice cream man seeking revenge for a wrong done to him but shoots and kills two brothers and wounds another four people who have nothing to do with his injury. It’s the story of long-awaited justice for the victims and family of the victims in this case; despite being arrested shortly after the murder, the trial did not start for TEN YEARS. Y’ALL. Buckle up because this one is a WILD RIDE, in several different directions. Danielle was absolutely SHOOKETH.

We saw a group date based on some Viking stuff, so Megan based a story on some Viking stuff. It’s really the story of a potentially cursed ship AND two totally separate true crime incidents? Buckle up because you are not ready - we promise. Unfortunately, this ship has seen its fair share of horrible incidents, including the 1986 murder of Antti Eljaala, the 1987 Murder of Klaus Schelkle and the Attempted Murder of Bettina Taxis, and the deaths of 852 passengers and crew aboard when it sunk in 1994. Episode 140 The Bachelorette: You Have to Let Me Speak (Season 18, Week 6) Nov 24, 2021

Each week Megan is asking the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week’s episode. This week’s card is the 2 of Rings which is called the Final Two. The card describes juggling and centering. It’s all about focusing on the life you want and guiding yourself to that, which is spot on for this week’s episode.

This week we are joined by four of Michelle’s students! They are adorable, funny, and insightful. We wouldn’t be mad if they had regular hosting duties. The kids plan all the dates this week, and they pick Clayton for a one-on-one. Is this his time to shine? Will we see why production picked him to be the next Bachelor? Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full (Top Gun reference). We also see the final group date of the season, Michelle sends toxic ass Martin home (good riddance). We also see a one-on-one with Brandon, and Brandon meets Michelle’s parents.

BIPOC highlight goes to Brandon Jones! Brandon had a one on one this week and we cringe, with him wearing her dad’s swim trunks, and swoon seeing Brandon ask if her parents would support a marriage proposal if he makes it to the end. Episode 139 The Bachelorette: Michelle, the Minnesota Miracle (Season 18, Week 5) Nov 17, 2021

Each week Megan is asking the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week’s episode. This week’s card is the Queen of Mirrors, which is called “The Bitch” - and it describes Danielle to a tee - she takes no shit and can read you to filth, but is really just a softy.

This week, Michelle and the men fly to the land of ten thousand lakes, the land that Danielle loves, the home of the Vikings-- Minnesota! We see two one-on-one dates and one group date. Joe gets a Minneapolis themed date- they throw out a first pitch at a Twins game and see Michelle’s high school. Joe opens up about life after basketball and the struggles he faced with that. (CONTENT WARNING: DEPRESSION/SUICIDE). The group date is themed after the Vikings and there are too many visible neck veins for Megan. Nayte gets a lake themed date on Lake Minnetonka, with two of Michelle’s besties. Throughout this whole episode we see Chris S. on some whiny white boy shit and we hate it; he even has the audacity to interrupt Michelle’s date with Nayte, how rude!

This week for our BIPOC highlight, we are highlighting and saying goodbye, our main squeeze who did not get the airtime he deserved, Leroy Arthur (IG Handle). Leroy is a biomedical PhD student, who was born in Italy to Ghanaian parents, who emigrated to the U.S. to live the American dream. Leroy says that when he dates, he dates with intention. He does not like to gamble, with money or hearts, but does love breakfast in bed. Leroy, we will miss your style and face, hope to see you on BIP!

Renise tells us the horrible story of the murder of two young boys, who are connected to Alton Williams, a cast member of the Real World: Las Vegas. Jonathan (9) and Charlie (13) were just two kids trying to have a fun day with their friend. What happened to them is absolutely disgusting and terrifying. (Story Starts at: 14:53)

Each week Megan is asking the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week’s episode. This week’s card is the 8 of Mirrors, which is called “In Your Head” - and it talks about insecurities being triggered, and how to get out of your own head.

This week we see two one-on-one dates and one group date this week. The first one-on-one is with Martin; they drive cars and then hit a hot tub, and have an interesting conversation about Jamie. On the group date, it’s a slumber party-themed date with a guest appearance from WWE’s Bella twins. Also on the group date, none of the men really approach Michelle, making her feel unseen. The second one-on-one date of the week is with Rick, they ride a sky gondola and walk through some nature, and read a wish box. Rick shares his family’s story, and it’s a difficult one.

This week we are highlighting Olumide “Olu” Onajide (IG Handle). Olu looked mighty damn fine, with his deck of cards for abs during the group date. We also saw his sweet and sensitive side, when she shared his feelings about being an older brother and uplifting and supporting his sisters. We have been waiting a long time to see Olu talk on screen and we were NOT disappointed. Vulnerability in black men is beautiful! This week we say goodbye to two BIPOC contestants, Romeo and Will.

Episode 136 The Bachelorette: Basic White Trends (Season 18, Week 3) Nov 04, 2021

Each week Megan is asking the Final Rose Tarot cards what we can expect from this week’s episode. This week’s shuffle resulted in two cards: Page of Mirrors and the Knight of Rings. Page of Mirrors is called The Gossip, and Knight of Rings is called the Late Bloomer - and for this episode, the cards are HIT-TING. We’re talking like, batting a thousand - just like our World Series Champs, the Atlanta Braves.

It’s week three of Michelle’s season, and the drama has arrived. We see a Top Gun style group date, featuring the gorgeous Jay Ellis, a one-on-one truth or dare date with Rodney, and a spoken word poetry date, hosted by poet Rudy Francisco. We bear witness to the much promoted “jacket gate” and… while the Jamie drama was bubbling last week, this week it is boiling over.

This week we are highlighting Rodney Mathews (IG Handle). Rodney and Michelle had such a sweet and funny one on one, we just have to love him! Danielle has her reservations, but Megan gets her on the Rodney train and they are headed to Stan Town, USA! We also say goodbye to zaddy Spencer Williams and Mollique Johnson.

Two women, Annie Dookhan and Sonja Farak, compromised the entire Massachusetts judicial system with Annie falsifying documents to remain the superstar of the office and Sonja battling serious drug addiction. Danielle also discusses the ACLU's fight for justice for the over 75,000 convictions. A lot of her information came from "How to Fix a Drug Scandal" which is available on Netflix. Episode 135 True Crime: The Murder of Lorenzen Wright Nov 03, 2021

In week two of Michelle’s season, we see Michelle and Joe (Minnesota’s Mr. Basketball, 2011) play some one-on-one, on a group date. We also see WNBA stars Chicago Sky’s Diamond DeShields and Las Vegas Aces forward Dearica Hamby. Not surprisingly, Danielle covers a story about basketball and gives us some facts about b-ball and Memphis, Tennessee.

Danielle tells the story of basketball player and hometown hero Lorenzen Wright. Lorenzen played high school, college, and professional basketball in Memphis, Tennessee. Lorenzen, the community advocate, was murdered in 2010. His case had no leads until 2017 when a murderous love triangle and cousin were brought to light. NOTE: There is a suspect that goes to trial in 2022, and if a person isn’t convicted, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Don’t worry, we’ll follow for case updates.

Episode 134 True Crime: The Killing of Justine Ruszczyk Damond Oct 28, 2021

In the premiere, we met a few of Michelle’s students, including two Somali students. The metro area of Minneapolis has one of the highest Somali populations in the world (outside of East Africa). Will Danielle be giving us Minnesota stories all season long, probably!

Danielle tells Justine Ruszczyk Damond’s story. Justine was originally from Australia, living on the south side of Minneapolis. Justine was doing what a good neighbor does and was reporting a potential crime in her neighborhood. They say, see something, say something; so she did. Somali Minneapolis Police Officer Mohamed Noor and his partner arrived on the scene and shot Justine outside of her home, claiming they heard a noise that startled them and thought that Justine was the perpetrator.

This case occurred in 2017, prior to the murder of George Floyd, and it touches on officer-involved shootings, race, the Somali immigrant population in Minneapolis, and the policies and procedures of deadly force. (Story starts at: 12:15)
