This week, Archpriest Father John Whiteford is on the show, and we discuss the themes in his four-part series, "The Birth of a New Religion". This series examines the threats of modern society that Father John sees creeping into Orthodox Christianity. These would be: Ecumenism, the LGBTQ ideology, pro-abortion sentiments, and renovationism. We discuss each of these and how/why they are a threat to Orthodoxy. We see the US State Dept. funding the NATO/Ukrainian push to eliminate Christ's True Church in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Not only to eliminate but to murder ordained priests and burn the Churches to the ground. Why are the globalist elites in the West determined to subvert Orthodox Christianity? Who is funding the forces in the US that are attempting to co-opt the Church? We get into all of this and more in this episode of the Counterflow Podcast.

One of my favorite guests is back with us this week. That would be Father Turbo Qualls. Fr. Turbo is an Orthodox Priest at St. Mary of Egypt Serbian Orthodox Church in Kansas City and part of the excellent "Royal Path" podcast. On this episode, Fr. Turbo and I discuss the spiritual warfare not only in the outside world, but within each of us. Sometimes, getting closer to the Light of Christ is a scary thing as the proverbial fat burns away. The demons play on our lust for comfort especially, and it can feel good in the moment to give into their call. We also dive into Fr. Turbo's punk rock days, and he details how being an "outsider" of sorts prepared him for Orthodoxy. Fr. Turbo drops a lot of wonderful wisdom in this episode, and I have no doubt that you will learn some things.

My guest on this week's episode is Father John Valadez. Fr. John is the current head man in charge at the Death to the World magazine and website. Death to the World seeks to inspire truth-seeking and soul-searching amidst the modern age of nihilism and despair, promoting the ancient principles of the last true rebellion: to be dead to this world and alive to the other world. We discuss the nature of punk rock and metal subcultures and the rebellion against the fake American Dream and modern society that they promise. But what solutions do punk and alternative counter-cultural movements offer? Many times, people within those groups find themselves in a dark, empty world of nihilism. Orthodoxy offers people a true counter-cultural rebellion against a fake, empty world, yet also offers a transcendent, spiritual, and mystical solution.

This week, Dr. Mark McDonald is back on the show, and as per usual, we aren't shying away from spicy topics. Mark has a wonderful Substack where I found two pieces recently that we dive into. "The Disappearance of the American Man" and "Why American Women Are Undatable". Broadly, men have become lazy, apathetic, unhealthy, and unwilling to go out and date. Why is this? Why are testosterone levels so low? Does it have anything to do with the feminization of the United States? How did what happened in 2020 impact this? Does the fact that many women are mentally unstable, narcissistic, angry, and undateable? When did this phenomenon happen? How is it all related? We get into ALL of this. Towards the end, we discuss the depression that many people feel in December and how that can be conquered.

My guest this week is Orthodox Priest and writer, Father John Downie. Fr. John wrote some very compelling pieces for the Brownstone Institute, where he discusses many of the problems with the Covid regime from an Orhtodox perspective. One hospital tried to deny Fr. John from taking Holy Communion to a dying patient -- he wouldn't allow them to block him. That is because he answers to something bigger than the fear of unknowing hospital staffers. Many people caved during 2020 and closed not only businesses but even some churches. Many were pro-jab despite knowing nothing about it. Who stood up to this evil? We discuss this and more.

My guest this week is Vin Armani, also known as Cyprian. We are discussing the theme in an article written by Emily Oster in the Atlantic. In the article, she pleads for amnesty on behalf of the Covid regime, for all of the evil they pushed onto society. Masks, jabs, lockdowns, firings, ostracization, a caste system, apartheid, death, and more were all from these people in the name of "safety". Should forgiveness even be considered for these people? If so, under what parameters should we consider granting them forgiveness? Do they deserve prison time? Death? Love? We discuss all of this, and it really is a nice lesson on repentance. We also get into what exactly is going on with this FTX scandal.
