Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. Why is it so hard to become Holy? It seems like a really basic command that God gives, but the more I strive the less progress I seem to make.

    2. How exactly can you prove that God, Jesus, the whole thing is real, that it's the only religion? If it was real there wouldn't be any other religions but him. Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. Hi, Dr. Horton and Pastor Sanchez. In Matthew 27:52-53 the Evangelist writes that some of the saints came out of their graves after Christ's resurrection, and were seen by many in Jerusalem. In 2 Timothy 2:18, however, Paul writes that those who say the resurrection has already taken place have departed from the truth and are leading others astray. How do you interpret or reconcile Matthew's account with Paul's statement?

    2. If you died today and Jesus asked you why he should let you into heaven what would you say?

    3. How do we know that we have an accurate translation of the Bible?

    4. Do the letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation apply to the church today?

    5. How can I gain a greater desire to give God praise?

    6. What does Jesus mean in the Book of John when he says, "whoever sees me, sees him who sent me"?

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. I have a question regarding Revelation 13.5-8. It talks about the beast and how all of the martyrs that have been saved in heaven and that he [the beast] will be able to conquer them. That doesn't really make sense to me. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on what that is saying.

    2. Is it safe to use interpretation from the notes in my study Bible? Or should I try to interpret it on my own?

    3. What happens when an infant dies? Do they go to heaven?

    4. What are the basics I need to know to be saved?

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. Why is it not Christian to say, "I accept Jesus as my personal savior"? Dr. Horton explained this in a radio program, but I would like a deeper understanding of this issue.

    2. I was wanting to get your advice. My pastor has come out as a homosexual and he is preaching that the Bible has been misinterpreted?

    3. When Jesus refers to Peter as "the rock of the church", was Jesus elevating Peter over the other apostles?

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. I have a friend who thinks that praying in the Spirit means praying in tongues. I don't necessarily agree with that because I heard something different, but I was just wondering what you thought.

    2. Hello Pastor Adriel and Dr. Horton, first thank you for your ministry, it has helped me hear the gospel on a daily basis, which helps me trust God's promises further. I wanted to ask you a question about Sunday worship. Recently my church had a "Serve Sunday" where the normal worship services were cancelled, and the church went and served various tasks in the community for those in need. Do you think this is appropriate? I'm trying to be in careful submission to the pastor and elders placed as authorities, but I can't help feeling that this Sunday was a day the gospel, which I so desperately need, was not preached to the body of Christ. Thank you so much for considering my question.

    3. What does it mean in the book of Isaiah where it says, "Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you."?

    4. How much money should a Pastor make?

    5. Should we continue to forgive people who sin against us over and over again?

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. It says in the Bible that we are going to be judged for our deeds in the body either good or bad. Does this mean we are going to lose our salvation? I don't know if I'm playing defensive but there is no condemnation in Christ. But I worry about the verse that says we are going to be judged.

    2. Why did God recommend a Benjamite (Saul) for King, when the scepter shall not depart from Judah?

    3. What specifically does it mean to be a "Biblical Church"?

    4. How do I share the gospel with my family members?

    5. How do you teach the Core Christian doctrines to children?

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. When Jesus went to Jerusalem to be crucified, why didn't Jesus and the apostles bring something for a sacrifice?

    2. I was just listening to you and heard you talk about Psalms in Hebrew in order to witness to Jehovah's Witness. It's funny because I just had a Jehovah's Witnesses at my door today and we discussed many things. I was wondering what can I point to help show them the truth of the Gospel and of Revelation and of Jesus Christ? I very much enjoyed speaking with them and I know that they will come back and it would like to be more prepared.

    3. What's the predominant thing I need to understand about the Prophets in the Bible?

    4. Is there any danger in the idea of focusing too much on our justification?

    5. What did Jesus mean when he said, "Whoever believes in me as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water"?

Episode 370 | Dr. Michael Horton and Adriel Sanchez answer caller questions.

    Show Notes

    CoreChristianity.com

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. When a lot of Christians speak about suffering, they sound as if we should just accept suffering and not do anything to change it. I have heard people use first Peter 1 this way. In first Peter 1, does Peter want us to just accept suffering?

    2. I come from a Christian family. It's apostolic or Pentecostal. I come from a family of preachers. I have backslidden and every time I try to go back to church, they preach on the stuff that they know that I have done in the past and even though I have been forgiven they put me under condemnation. How should I try to overcome this? Even though I have spoken with them about this they continue to do it.

    3. Are we required to continue to forgive people who sin against us in the same way repeatedly without repentance?

    4. What is the Social Gospel and how should Christians respond to it?

    5. What's the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant?

Key questions answered in today's show:

    1. I'm really struggling to make sense of Romans 11, the part about the branches being cut off. How do you interpret this? Is Paul teaching that Christians can lose their salvation? How does this fit with Romans 9?

    2. We know that God doesn't hold the sins of the Father against his sons and the sins of the sons against the Father. And that being true why is it that we think that God would answers Noah's curse on Canaan on Canaan who didn't do anything based on what his Father did? I think that it's not a curse. I think that Noah either announced judgment or he just prophesied. But we have accepted the fact that it's a curse. Now we know that most of the Canaanites descendants are the Egyptians, Libyans, the list goes on, and they were prosperous nations. And the Ethiopians were a great people. So, I don't think it was a curse.

    3. Is it ok to work on the sabbath if my job requires me to?

    4. How should Christians pray for people who wander away to return to the Lord?

    5. How do we know which Old Testament laws still apply today?

    6. How is the New Covenant similar or different from the Old Covenant with Abraham?
