    Show notes

After we get a rundown on Donna's childhood softball team, her creepy coach and the free Dairy Queen they were entitled to, the show finally dives in to the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial.

Mixed emotions on this one. Donna explains that a different version of herself, maybe even just a pre-Covid version, would have been obsessed with this trial. But now it all seems just kind of…sad. She and Caddy dive into the component that marriage therapy has played, and give their own personal experiences there, too.

Kenny Chesney is back! Well, at least on a stage. Caddy gives a recap on his latest tour and his big name opening acts, including a surprise pop up concert from one, Old Dominion.

Is it still OK to use Covid as an excuse to get out of something? Well, in more country music news, Caddy teases a topic for Thursday's episode where an artist's answer to the question is a resounding "no."

The Red, White and Blue All-American Parking Lot Party is Saturday, 5/21. Jonathan Ingram. Ninja Pig BBQ. Great deals and giveaways! You won't want to miss it. Gallery Furniture, 1600 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville.

And don't forget to check out this Saturday's The Letter for details on how to win a 6 pack of concert tickets in celebration of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act's 250th episode.

Is it still OK to use Covid as an excuse to get out of something? We want to know what you think. Text or call 770-464-6024 and let us know.

Oh no no, the Italian Dallas Apr 21, 2022
    Show notes

Another day another dollar on the My Second Act podcast. Cadillac and Donna Jack kick off the show with a list of tasks you have to do as a parent. Interestingly, a walk of shame is one of them. Just not the kind of walk you're imagining.

Then we go on to talk about how unique Cadillac Jack is. It's very unique. As in- top 2 percentile. Or is it percent? Why don't you ask Caddy, the grammar king?

And Connor Jack Oswald has been found, safe and alive. It's a relief for most- but Caddy and Donna have questions.

Finally, it's time for us to talk about Dallas. No, the other Dallas. The good Dallas. And come somebody get those dogs? Let us know. 7704646024.

"People love dirty." Apr 19, 2022
    Show notes

Have you ever listened back to some of your favorite songs from the 80's and I mean REALLY listened to them? Well, recently Donna has, and she doesn't remember them being so dirty! Some of them were just down right…filthy. Listen to find out which ones in particular.

Also, Donna has a story about her days wearing the Easter Bunny costume for some photos, mostly sober.

Donna from Gallery Furniture joins the show again real quick for an update to the Wolfman Look-A-Like contest! We hope to see you at the All American Red, White, and Blue Parking Lot Party on Saturday, May 21st. See you there! Gallery Furniture, 1600 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville.

An update on Donna's hit country song writing career and much, much more on today's episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act.

    The only fan-voted podcast Apr 14, 2022

Drop your socks and head to Hill Valley. It's back to the future on Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.

Somebody told Kane Brown you can only host CMT Awards two years in a row. We are… not going to correct him. (Because he's too calming.) Regardless, we do want to know how much of Monday's show was pre-recorded. Spoiler alert: it's probably more than we all expect.

Then Donna talks about how to handle turbulence, whether it's on a plane or in a family. It's a serious, sentimental segment. So naturally, we go straight from there into why one pod peep "is 99% sure she saw the beaver."

The show ends with an interview that you may have heard before. Or at least, you may recognize the voices. Watch for the changes and try to keep up. Then write your own plinko and send it our way. 7704646024.

Get down, turn around, pop your Cooter Brown. Apr 12, 2022
    Show notes

On today's episode of Cadillac Jack – My Second Act, things get a little spicy when Donna gives us a preview of the country song she's writing.

But first, hear about her trip down to 30A for spring break. It was packed, of course, with teenie boppers and their bike, but more importantly you are going to want to hear more about the meal Donna ate. Every day. For the entire trip.

Is Fauci throwing in the towel? Caddy says it sure sounds like it. It's been a long road since February 2020 when Caddy introduced the world to Covid-19 (on the podcast) with the now infamous episode "Death starts at $269."

A few weeks ago Donna announced that she is writing the next hit country song and we have an update for you. If you're lucky, you might even get a little preview. Tune in!

What is one food you could eat 4 days in a row? Text or call 770-464-6024 to let us know. We'd love to hear from you.

    I saw the beaver Apr 07, 2022
    Show notes

It's Masters Week in Augusta, which means that we, as always, are home. Tune in and you just might see the beaver.

Caddy and Donna spend the evening cleaning up a few loose ends. Richard the Beaver is back on Hopewell. A third cat is in the house. You asked some more questions about the Grammy's, so we answered them. What's the difference between Song of the Year and Record of the Year? When is the window of eligibility? How do you get nominated? All those and more get answers to satisfy our classification as a Semi-Music Podcast.

To wrap up the show, Donna takes the stage. She gives six minutes of really heartfelt thoughts on Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the United States Supreme Court. In all seriousness, it's not something to miss. It's even worth listening to 51 minutes of Caddy to get there. Let us know when you make it through. 7704646024.

Lock your bike at Pickles! Apr 05, 2022

The Kardashians are back! Did they retire or didn't they? Who knows. But Donna (and Carl) are stoked.

Well, the Grammys weren't quite as eventful and buzz worthy as the Oscars were, but they sure did still pack a punch. Donna and Caddy hit all their highlights and go over some of the big winners.

Spring breakers everywhere got off to a rough spot when hundreds of flights were canceled Saturday. Delta was shuttling hundreds of people all the way down to Atlanta to put them up in hotels. What the heck are these people supposed to do if they have a cruise departing Ft. Lauderdale Sunday morning?!

Listening to the show on Spring Break? Have any crazy stories? We want to hear about them! Text or call 770-464-6024.

Dr. Frank and the Mormon Rumspringa Mar 31, 2022

Strap up and tune in for this wild ride of Cadillac Jack: My Second Act.

Cadillac and Donna Jack really stir the pot on this episode of My Second Act. Donna finds out she's been eating… something that people shouldn't eat. Caddy calls foul between Mr. Smith and Mr. Washington. Then we all joke off together and decide who provided the best Oscars aftermath.

The show takes a turn when it gets to The Big Segment. We have a pod peep call in to talk about partner pet peeves. (Say that three times). Here's the catch: she wasn't the only one on the line. What do you like least about your loved one? Let us know. 7704646024.

The slap heard round the world Mar 29, 2022
    Show notes

Get your fill of the latest news in entertainment on this episode of The Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast. Get Caddy and Donna's takes on the Will Smith slap and the passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

First off, Donna is going to need a bookie. She has moved past her digi-games, but she's ready to put down a bet or two. Problem is, every time she tries, she finds out she can't. Because it's illegal. So if you know of a bookie in the north Atlanta metro, help her out.

Wow, what a mess Will Smith has got himself into. By now you have heard about or seen the slap heard round the world at this year's Oscars presentation. Will Smith lost his cool when host and comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett, and a medical condition she has. He hopped on stage and slapped an unexpecting Rock, who continued the show a bit shaken. Hear Caddy and Donna's take on the whole fiasco.

Legendary drummer and member of the Foo Fighters band, Taylor Hawkins, was found dead in his hotel room at the age of 50. He had several drugs in his system according to preliminary toxicology reports, but we still don't know the whole story. Caddy and Donna talk about the struggle of addiction and the family he leaves behind.

It's a heavy show at times, but it's real talk and what you have come to expect and love from these guys. Need someone to talk to or just to brighten your day? Send Caddy a text or give him a call. He'd love to chat. Seriously. 770-464-6024.

Shake your shack Mar 24, 2022
    Show notes

Today's Cadillac Jack: My Second Act is a podcast where we talk about trends, pop culture, music and whatever we decide to talk about. Wait- that's every show.

Donna has the inside scoop on Alpharetta's latest trendy restaurant. And we're not talking about Nobu (yet). It's built up quite an appetite, too. Did somebody say JB's Pickles? We want you to think about your loved one and then tell us the one habit of theirs that you ha-, desp-, actually, never mind.

We also hear from the CBS Darling, Trevor Noah. And we *try* to hear from Kanye, but he was locked out. Too soon? Let us know. 7704646024.
