Donna opens the show with both a shoutout to Olivia for her birthday this week and by reminiscing on kids getting older, not having as much time for mom, and just in general the circle that is life. It goes by in a flash and everyone should enjoy every second of it – especially with your babies.

Casey Motter has been the voice of the Braves at Turner Field and now Truist Park for the last 15 years. Tragically, he passed away in his sleep last week. Caddy and Donna talk about what he meant to so many Georgians and his amazing road to the microphone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Speaking of baseball…if you are a Braves fan, you probably caught some of Freddie Freeman's return to Atlanta and all the tears that came with it. Now we come to find out, that some of those tears may have had to do with the news that Freddie did NOT receive information from his agent on the final offer from the Braves. What?!

This week on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, Caddy has a surprise for Donna. Yes, it backfires on him.

It's been a busy week in politics. Things can get heated – especially on social media. Donna has a thing or two to say about what's been going on and gives her advice on how to handle people and friends you don't agree with. Bottom line: live and let live, folks.

Also, you may have heard on the pod last week Donna mention the 2nd time Caddy was fired. You may have though, huh? When else did Caddy get fired? Well, there is a story. Technically, he did get fired, but not really. Caddy explains.

It's Groundhog Day here on the Cadillac Jack: My Second Act podcast. Are you someone who is regularly late, or early? Donna has been late, lately, and it's getting old early. Maybe? I don't know. Groundhog. We talk panhandling, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift at the beginning of the show. What's the commonality with all three? Street weeks.

Then we cover the pigs. Piggies, to be exact. Where did the saying come from? Caddy just found out and, well, he went all the way home. Caddy has some bedside manner. Donna thinks he could have a lot more. So about 17 minutes into the show, they roleplay.

The last bit of the show is spent talking about dreams. Where do they come from, what do they mean and how much does it have to do with your tallywhacker. Hit some pod peeps on the way out and that's the show.

Cadillac Jack threw Taylor Swift a prom Jun 21, 2022

On today's episode of the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast, we've got Taylor Swift stories.

But first, Father's Day was Sunday and we kick off the show talking a little bit about what it means to different people. Some people no longer have their fathers in their lives, for whatever reason, and Donna talks about what that's like, too. She lost her dad in 1998 and for her, Father's Day is a reminder of how much she misses him and wishes she could talk to him again and get his advice.

About 16 years ago, Taylor Swift came out with her debut single, entitled Tim McGraw. Caddy talks about the T-Swift he got to know back then, and the special event he put on for her when she came by the radio station. In fact, Taylor, who was home schooled and didn't have a typical high school experience, was actually given a "prom" complete with tiara, dancing and flowers. It's an event she reminds him about anytime she sees him.

But first…it's hot. Too hot. And Donna shut all the vents in the vents in the house because the ants are taking over. Or are they? Are we losing our minds?!

We've also had a Richard the Beaver sighting…we think. Donna pulled over (after some jerk honked at her to speed up) to check in on old Richard and make sure she got a peak at the paddle tooth. Were those baby beavers with him? Wait, do beavers nurse?

As you have probably heard by now, the verdict on Todd and Julie Chrisley verdict is in. Caddy gets texts from time to time when the episode of Chrisley Knows Best that he appears on re-airs on TV. Yes, they are friends, and no, this verdict will not affect their friendship. Caddy and Donna talk about what its like to stick with people through thick and thin and what Julie texted Donna after Caddy had his heart attack.

Roundabouts are being built all over the place and new drivers hit the road every day (cough cough). So we do turn to a quick PSA about safe road practices before pivoting into Caddy's latest pullover. (Unrelated.)

Then some folks chimed in about Airtags and how to really get away with cheating. Other folks were going to phone in, too, but they haven't been heard from since. (Fish just aren't biting today, huh?)

Lastly, the largest jump in Billboard history. Or at least, in Cadillac Jack's memory of the Billboard hot 100.

Across the pond, a long way from the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast studio, the Brits are celebrating the Queen's Jubilee and Donna has the 411 on who was there, who wasn't and all the juicy gossip. Were Harry and Meghan there? Who performed? Find out.

In other news, Donna has been bestowed the honor of Sultan of Soda. By now, you probably know how Donna loves all her apps and loyalty points. Well, it's finally paid off and now she will not have to worry about where she'll get a drink on a hot day this summer.

Have you seen Top Gun yet? Caddy refuses to go, but Donna and Charlotte saw it over the weekend and say it was amazing. They may even go back. The film paid homage to the original, including one scene that Donna is still talking about. You might be able to guess which one…

The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial has FINALLY wrapped up, and Caddy and Donna are here for you to fill you in. Who won? What did we learn? What's next for the loser(s)?

On Cadillac Jack – My Second Act, we figure out who exactly gets to keep those graduation banners at the front of everyone's neighborhoods. Can you go cut your kid's name off of it or is it more of a first come, first served situation. Donna needs to know. Pictures must be had and Nana is waiting.

Caddy and Donna talk about the difference between Memorial and Veterans Day, and why people just don't get the difference. It seems to have gotten better in recent years, with people recognizing the solemn nature of Memorial Day, but its still not a time for fireworks and barbeques.

Executive Producer Carl Appen joins the show to talk a little bit about Appen Media's public safety news coverage, and more specifically, to tell Donna how he can and cannot help her figure out what a bunch of kids were doing with a rope in the woods.
