It's a no holds barred type of episode of the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast, with stories from the ditch outside Atlanta Motor Speedway and the bush next to Donna's mailbox the morning of a neighborhood estate sale.

Charlotte got sick, and I am talking REALLY sick (including all over Donna's car). She is feeling better, but not until Donna took her punishment for oversleeping for the carpool line.

Caddy is not a big fan of the new Ga 400/285 updates, but then, who is? The exits are literally changing locations and it is throwing Caddy for a loop. Get it? And Donna explains that how her directional skills are entirely contingent on knowing which way Chattanooga is.

The interstate dilemma was preceded by a trip to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Caddy observed a Fold of Honor. A Fold of Honor is DEFINITELY not what Donna thought it was. The trip brought back some memories for Caddy though, or lack thereof, and he reminisces about waking up in a ditch. Or a ravine. Not sure.

All that and MUCH more on today's jam packed episode of My Second Act!

This episode is dedicated to Pod Peep Jason Williamson.

What's the most embarrassing place you woke up "the next morning?" We want to know! Text or call at 770-464-6024.

"You love Doritos." Mar 17, 2022
    Show notes

Caddy and Donna discuss Russia and Ukraine and some of the amazing acts of kindness and heroism that the world has seen despite the terrible situation. One item that came up in conversation, however, was what Caddy would be willing (or able) to do should he find himself in a similar situation? Listen to find out his answer.

Tom Brady is unretiring? Apparently so. Giving hope to all 40+ people out there that your NFL dreams are not dead yet!

Doritos will soon be about 5 ounces lighter than they have been, and Caddy – an enthusiast – is not happy about it. And apparently they are not the only company cutting product quantities to combat high inflation costs of production.

You might remember a recent episode where Caddy and Donna discuss the merits of Dolly Parton's nomination into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In the end, its not going to matter as she has officially withdrawn her name from consideration. It's a classy move, and she may end up in the Hall when all is said in done, but for now at least the issue is a mute point.

Tug joins the show! The country music and Braves media mogul chats the Freddie Freeman/Matt Olson news, how Braves fans everywhere are reacting, and what Tug thinks about the A's organization. Tune in!

What is your favorite kind of Doritos chip? Let us know by dropping us text or call at 770-464-6024.

Caddy gets heckled Mar 15, 2022
    Show notes

Caddy gets down to Brightmoor to play some songs on the piano for the old folks. Sure, he may be a little rusty, but have you ever heard of someone getting booed playing Amazing Grace? Well, now, Caddy has. Listen for his reaction. Can you imagine being an American up on the International Space Station, surrounded by a bunch of Russians who are threatening to leave you there? Well, that is the situation right now for astronaut Mark Vande Hei, who might be getting a little nervous right now. Who can blame him?!

Mark Coogler, Director of the box office hit 'Black Panther,' was arrested in February at a Bank of America while attempting to withdraw $12,000 cash from his account. He was a customer, and wrote on a withdrawal slip that he wanted the teller to be discreet. Who was in the wrong? Did the teller have good reason to be nervous? Did Bank of America do the right thing? Caddy and Donna discuss.

And Donna and Caddy have a very special guest on the phone today! Donna, from Gallery Furniture and long-time supporter of the show, joins to talk shop, kids, and the big parking lot grill out coming up. We love you Donna!

Last but not least, Happy Sweet 16th Char-Char!

We want to know what spring break plans you have with the kids. Let us know by dropping us text or call at 770-464-6024.

My name is Cadillac Jack and I prepared a few words before I came up here. We're reinventing ourselves on today's episode of My Second Act.

The Academy of Country Music Awards just happened and we're still recovering. (Chris Stapleton, Eric Church and of course, our boy Morgan Wallen.) If you haven't heard yet, you'll hear the scortchers from Caddy and Donna. And if you're playing Lenny Kravitz in the background, please give us a heads up. Seriously - where is Joana Cotton? If you've seen her, let us know. 7704646024.

I was pretty smart in high school Mar 08, 2022
    Show notes

On the My Second Act today, Cadillac Jack and Donna get into a range of topics from high school pranks and country to music, to Coach K's last home game and of course – Caddy's first pro wrestling event.

It's Junior/Senior Wars time in metro Atlanta. If you don't know what that is, it's when all the high school juniors and seniors roll each other's houses in toilet paper, tear up landscaping, and mess with cars. It started out as an innocent way to prank each other, but has progressed into something much more destructive. Caddy and Donna discuss their proposed ground rules.

And of course, we get a full recap from Caddy on his big wrestling exhibition. He'd never been to a pro wrestling match before, and let's just say he's hooked. The wrestling, the beer, the yelling and sweating – and all in the name of charity! Caddy promises to be back soon, and bring you dear listeners more stories from ringside.

What is the MOST you have ever paid for a ticket to something – sporting event, concert, or otherwise? Call or text 770-464-6024.

It's a doozy today on the Cadillac Jack - My Second Act podcast. Caddy and Donna talk about a dad who jumped into a bull ring to rescue his son from a charging bull. Naturally, the conversation led to Donna asking Caddy if he would do the same for her. Let's just say Caddy you got the answer wrong. Twice. Find out what he said.

You have never heard a first-date-gone-bad story like the one Caddy is going to tell you here today. What would you do if your date, someone you barely know, jumped on the freeway and started going 140 mph?

So, Caddy has some hesitations about this whole pickleball idea. He has some info for Donna in the hopes that she may reconsider him big plan to master the hardcourt with Laura. Hear her response.

Tell us about your worst first date. We'd love to hear about it. Call or text 770-464-6024.

Donna checks out Euphoria on HBO and she's obsessed. However, she wouldn't recommend it for someone with teenage kids. Caddy and Donna discuss what it implies about this generation of kids and the challenges it has that they didn't have growing up.

Jana Kramer has released a new song for her kids that explains why she and her husband Mike Caussin split up. Caddy and Donna talk about what the limits should be for a public figure – musician or otherwise – to air their personal grievances in public.

An update on Donna's ax throwing party! This is part of Donna's one-new-thing-a-month initiative. Get out all your aggression and anxiety and come join. Details to come.

What's one new thing you are going to do in 2022? Let us know. Call or text 770-464-6024.

It's a very special behind-the-scenes episode of My Second Act. Brian Mansfield calls in to talk about the ACM awards, Dolly Parton, Morgan Wallen, The Chicks and, of course, Dolly Parton. The executive editor of Country Insider has a few things to say about the inside of Nashville and the Jacks are all ears. Tune in to hear about it all, then meet us on the court for a match. And if you have any extra pickles, let us know. 7704646024.

(Production note: Carl accepts both the tennis AND pickleball challenges. And he'll bring more heat than Ben.)

Donna breaks the refrigerator Feb 22, 2022
    Show notes

It's a rollercoaster today on the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast.

First off, Donna details the great broken refrigerator saga that involved a Dairy Queen blizzard that was very mysteriously quite warm. Caddy even got out of bed to observe and supervise.

Next up, Caddy details his trip to Athens with friend of the show Ben Burnett to see a Jason Aldean concert/political fundraiser for Lieutenant Governor candidate Burt Jones. It was only the second show Aldean has done since October and damn did it feel good to get out of the house.

The Winter Olympics Russian figure skating doping scandal made for great fodder on the show, too. All that and much, much more on today's episode!

What was the last concert you went to and when? We want to know. Call or text 770-464-6024.

Between a hill and a hard place Feb 17, 2022

Donna can't mind her own business and Cadillac Jack goes cold. It's a Back to the Future here on the My Second Act podcast.

We start off MSA with a recap of Donna's trip to Arkansas. It was a college visit- maybe the mildest campus tour in the Jack history. Then there's a lot about (mistaken) Valentine's candy, a bit about Hoda and what happens when Caddy stays home alone for the first time in 9 years.

    (Quick relatable content here)

Oh, and by the way, we're changing the name of the show. Let us know what you think. 7704646024.
