#123: Eddie Braun on Conquering Fear and Taking Action May 11, 2023
    Show notes

Get ready to hear from legendary stuntman Eddie Braun as he shares his thoughts on safety in an epic interview. Host Tim can't help but admire Eddie's life as an example of how "fear is no excuse." Eddie himself knows the difference between reckless behavior and calculated risk. He believes that achieving great things is less about taking risks and more about having the skills to manage fear. Many people are unable to pursue their dreams because they are too busy living in fear.

Eddie is not just a stuntman, but also a stunt actor and coordinator who was inspired by his childhood hero, the famous Evil Knievel. He achieved his dream by completing Knievel's failed attempt to jump across Idaho's Snake River Canyon in a rocket in 2016, making him the only person ever to do so. You can watch the documentary of his signature stunt, "Stuntman," on Disney Plus. Eddie has an impressive career spanning from the 80s until now, with numerous action credits to his name. He has appeared in TV shows like "Dukes of Hazzard," "The Fall Guy," and "Magnum P.I.," as well as in movies such as "The Avengers," "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," "Moneyball," and "Rush Hour 2." Eddie has also doubled for actors like Charlie Sheen, Lee Majors, and Chuck Norris.

#122: Bridging the Healthcare Gap: (a Heart Mojo episode) May 04, 2023
    Show notes

Welcome to the month of May! Trying a little something new as we are away on vacations this week. We are sharing a recording we did as guests on The Heart Mojo Podcast with hosts Melinda Smith and Karen Hale( of New Cleveland Radio).

We answer questions about the disconnect between the patients and the physician, administration and billing. How do we help each other navigate the health system and advocate for ourselves or those who can’t.

We have a great time sharing our insights on how we got to where we are. At the end of the day, patients need to be their best advocates in a convoluted and complex system.

Thanks for sticking with us this week!

And don’t forget our new weekly DOCTALES livestreaming on Facebook and YouTube where you get to be part of the party!

#117: Brave New Medical World with Dr. Harvey Risch Mar 30, 2023
    Show notes

Today we go from E to V!! We start with Epidemiology and what it really is, and how to understand it … all the way to the trending world of Virtual Health Care and the new face of medical care and excellent customer service.

Guess who’s back?!! We are grateful to have with us again, the highly intelligent and wise Dr. Harvey Risch. Tim and my brain power combined doesn’t match his intellectual acumen when it comes to understanding and deciphering the data on published medical studies. He joined us way back on Episode #25 called “Follow The Herd” ( see his bio below to know how he understands all the data so well!)

Today we discuss the definition of Epidemiology- what it really is, why it matters and how it affects science and YOU! It seems that pharma has been controlling the narrative, not only convincing us that randomized controlled trials are the gold standard of Medicine, but by even controlling the publications and data we see.

Dr. Risch also has embarked on a new venture as Chief Epidemiologist for The Wellness Company . They believe in putting the patient first, while supporting medical rights and freedoms and providing highest quality affordable healthcare. With the increasing popularity of online health services, this convenient access to physicians also offers lower costs for care and medicines with similar values in medical freedom and truth.

    To quote Dr. Risch:

“This is a company where doctors and experts can use their experience to make sound judgments when it comes to treating each and every unique patient the best way they know how - based on the best evidence available to them."

That sounds like something we ALL can get behind! Click below to check them out!

#116: Theo Fleury: Everyday Champion ( On & Off Ice) Mar 23, 2023
    Show notes

What do you do when your greatest source of accomplishment, joy and belonging also becomes the greatest source of personal suffering?

Theo Fleury is our guest who shares his journey on becoming one of NHLs greatest players, while living with a dark secret of sexual abuse. He shares how he overcame alcoholism through redemption and focused his pain, experiences and wisdom into helping others. His story documented in the book PLAYING WITH FIRE is a raw and honest telling of his abuse and healing.

The last three years of government overreach started to trigger feelings of his past oppression and we talk about the similarities and recognition of abuse/ power/ fear in manipulating minds and actions of entire populations.

Tim held it together and didn’t fan boy out too much on this interview… May however found the similarities in past trauma and redemption to hit a nerve of empathic emotion… this one you won’t want to miss!

    About Theo Fleury:

Theoren "Theo" Fleury (born June 29, 1968) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, author, and motivational speaker.[1] Fleury played for the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, and Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL), Tappara of Finland's SM-liiga, and the Belfast Giants of the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League. He was drafted by the Flames in the 8th round, 166th overall, at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, and played over 1,000 games in the NHL between 1989 and 2003.

One of the smallest players of his generation, Fleury played a physical style that often led to altercations. During his career Fleury recorded 90+ points four times, and 100+ points twice.[2] He twice represented Canada at the Winter Olympics, winning a gold medal in 2002. Throughout his career, he battled drug and alcohol addictions that ultimately forced him out of the NHL in 2003. He retired in 2009.

    Show notes

Welcome to our monthly special episode where we join our friend Rick Dancer and collaborate! We get to hijack his show and showcase our podcast.

Our special guest this month is Martha Rosenberg- an investigative journalist currently working for multiple publications, including the Epoch times.

They have captured not only your attention, but some of the biggest patient advocacy entities and have their hand in every aspect of healthcare. When you watch football… they are there.. How can so many people have been duped about the safety of so many drugs, yet little has been mentioned in the media? Who pays for the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association and who is paying for your primetime news channel? Why does potential drug side effects risk horrific effects such as necrotizing perineal infections (!) get buried in the fine print in media and TV? Listen and you will find out!

Rick is the host of Get Real with Rick Dancer and we are honored to be on his show monthly discussing a topic of our choice, or hosting a guest interview. Rick joins us for the first half of the show that we share on his platform.
