Here comes the Heisman Dec 10, 2021
    Show notes

The Big Me Kickoff show has made its way to New York City for the Heisman Trophy presentation, and it only fits that the top college football award and the top college football podcast go hand-in-hand. We obviously are here to follow Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud around the process as the redshirt freshman is one of the top-four vote getters and while many people feel that this might be Bryce Young's award to lose, crazier things have happened. Join Kevin Noon from Times Square as he has all the latest on Heisman Eve and gets you ready here on the Big Men Kickoff show for all the happenings on Saturday night.

What to know on Knowles Dec 08, 2021
    Show notes

The Big Me Kickoff is back, and we are talking coaching moves as the Buckeyes have made a big one. There has been plenty going on as Ohio State made a move on Tuesday when it was announced that Ryan Day has found a new defensive coordinator in Jim Knowles, most recently of Oklahoma State.
What do we know about Knowles? We went to a friend of the show to talk to Eli Lederman of the Tulsa World to find out more about Ohio State’s newest hire. Eli had the chance to spend a good part of Tuesday with the veteran coach at the Broyles Award. How did things go down on that day, what is Ohio State getting and what should fans expect?
All of that and more on the Big Me Kickoff show with Kevin Noon. We are talking Jim Knowles and more on this edition, don’t miss out.

A strange pause, who to pull for & it was the Dukes Dec 03, 2021
    Show notes

It is a bit of a strange day here for the Big Me Kickoff, we are talking Buckeyes even though the Buckeyes don’t have a game to play this weekend.
We are done talking about “The Game” (but we know others that won’t stop talking about it, let’s see how things look 360 days from now with that approach) but there is still plenty to talk about as the Buckeyes are idle this weekend as conference crown their champions.
We take a look at all of the Division 1 championship games, starting with action tonight between the Pac-12 and Conference USA and then move into a busy Saturday that will see the rest of the champions crowned.
Who do we like to win these games, who should you be rooting for if you want to see the most chaotic outcome possible? We touch upon all of that.
The Big Ten announced its all-league teams earlier this week and major award winners. Ohio State quarterback CJ Stroud pulled off a feat never accomplished before but that apparently was not enough for the Walter Camp Award, snubbing the Ohio State quarterback from its list of finalists despite the league determining that Stroud was the best offensive player in the league.
And we even talk a little bit of basketball in this one. Ohio State came out and shocked college basketball and then-No. 1 Duke on Tuesday. What does that mean moving forward? How did the Big Ten fare in its annual challenge with the ACC? What made Ohio State’s upset win against Duke all the more impressive? We touch upon that as well.
There is plenty to talk about here in the Big Me Kickoff this week. Spend the next 30 minutes with host Kevin Noon as he goes through all of those topics and more on his weekly show.

Is there a path available? Dec 01, 2021
    Show notes

Big Me Kickoff is back with a LIVE edition with Kevin Noon and Marc Givler and the new College Football Playoff rankings are here and we now know where the Buckeyes sit on the back end of their loss in ‘The Game’. Is there still a path to the playoffs or has that door closed? Is there anyone you should be rooting for, or against, in Championship Weekend? We discuss all of that.
What’s going on with Ohio State recruiting and is this the wildest start to the offseason in recent memory for the coaching carousel? Are targets once thought to be in, out?
And where can you get a good burger or German meal around town? We even talk a little food here on the Big Me Kickoff. Don’t miss out.

The Game; That's it and nothing else Nov 26, 2021
    Show notes

It is just one day before ‘The Game’ and here at the Big Me Kickoff we are ready for the countdown to accelerate all the way until ball meets foot up in Ann Arbor (Mich.).
We are joined by a long-time friend of the show, Michael Spath, a former coworker back at a previous shop and someone who follows this Michigan team as closely as anyone.
What is the level of excitement around the Michigan program with this game getting closer? Everyone remembers that the 2020 edition of the game was canceled, does that add anything to this one?
Can Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo change Michigan’s fortunes with a pass rush and is the Michigan pass defense as good as advertised or is that a result of who the Wolverines have played to date?
And on the other side of the ball, what to make of Blake Corum, Cade McNamara and Donovan Edwards?
Plus, a pick on the game and what this game means to Jim Harbaugh’s tenure with the Maize and Blue.
All of that and more on the Big Me Kickoff, don’t miss out.

Who is for real, who is fool’s gold & CFP silliness Nov 23, 2021
    Show notes

Big Me Kickoff is here and we are wrapping up Ohio State’s big win over Michigan State. Was that a true representation of what the Ohio State offense and defense can be or was it a perfect storm for the Buckeyes against a top-10 opponent? As ‘The Game’ draws closer, fans are starting to get nervous about what Michigan was able to do last week against Maryland, was that the Wolverines rounding into form or just a result of Maryland falling into a late-season swoon? And what should we make of the upcoming College Football Playoff rankings? Join Kevin Noon on the Big Me Kickoff as he talks about all of those things plus much, much more.

Will a Spartan effort against Buckeyes be enough for MSU? Nov 18, 2021
    Show notes

The Big Me Kickoff is back for a second edition this week as the Buckeyes get ready for a top-10 match-up with Michigan State on Saturday for senior day at Ohio Stadium. While only separated by a couple of spots in the College Football Playoff rankings, the Buckeyes are nearly a three-touchdown favorite against the Spartans, is that fools gold or is Vegas on to something that we are not looking at?
We are catching up with one of our favorite guests here for the Big Me Kickoff as Josh from the College Football Nerds joins us to talk about the upcoming game between Ohio State and Michigan State. The nerds have done a great job through the years of stripping past the obvious numbers and using advanced stats to really break down what games are going to look like.
Plus, we are talking about the College Football Playoff, Cincinnati and a whole lot more in this 30-minute episode of your favorite kick-off show. Don’t miss out, check it all out.

Spoiling the spoilers, SpartyNo & spouting off on CFP Nov 15, 2021
    Show notes

In this special Monday edition of the Big Me Kickoff, the Purdue Boilermakers came to town with sights set on spoiling the Buckeye season but the Buckeyes spoiled those plans in a hurry with a 28-point win. What went into Ohio State’s plan to spoil the spoilers?
Next up is Michigan State and we have seen plenty of SpartyNo moments through the years but Michigan State has also ruined an Ohio State season or two through the years, we make some opening comments on the upcoming opponent.
And we are spouting off on the CFP rankings here on the day before the next update drops. What can we expect, if anything, from the next poll?
All of that and more on the Big Me Kickoff. Let’s get to it.

Slow down Big Game Bell, run the ball & this week’s bill Nov 12, 2021
    Show notes

Big Me Kickoff is here, and the regular season is already 75-percent done and there are three games between the Buckeyes and a potential finish line at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis to protect their crown as league champs.
None of that talk means a thing if the Buckeyes are not able to take care of business each week and this week that business is all about the Boilermakers of Purdue.
As we have told you all week long, no team seems to get to the Buckeyes more in the Big Ten than Purdue does, even with a highly lopsided overall series. What are we watching for this week? What do the Buckeyes need to do better? What does recent history say about this series? All of that is touched upon in this edition of the Big Me Kickoff with Kevin Noon.
Plus, we look at some other key games in the Big Ten as well as outside of the conference. You better enjoy your big games this weekend because next week has very few, outside of a big one between Ohio State and Michigan State. But we are not going to get ahead of ourselves.
    Promise.
Check out this edition of the Big Me Kickoff and be in the know.

Big Me Kickoff: Buckeyes Vibes, CFP Jeers & B1G Picks Nov 05, 2021
    Show notes

We are back with our weekly Big Me Kickoff show and this week we are talking all things Nebraska. Why have the Huskers struggled to break through this season and what is the common thing in all six losses for Scott Frost’s team?
The Buckeyes are coming off of a nine-point win last week and have four games left in the regular season to prove that they are one of the nation’s top-four teams as the College Football Playoff rankings have the Buckeyes just outside at No. 5 at the moment but plenty of room to move up with what is left on the schedule.
We are talking Buckeyes and Huskers as well as what is going on in the Big Ten and across the nation with a schedule that is short on ranked versus ranked match-ups.
Plus, the College Football Playoff is on my mind, I talk about why it looks like the SEC Invitational and even if things work out in the end, why it is a bad look in week one.
