    Show notes

The Buckeyes and Nittany Lions will take the field at Ohio Stadium on Halloween Eve as Ryan Day’s team looks for many treats and to avoid any tricks that Penn State may have in store for them. Here on the Big Me Kickoff show, we put the game into focus, look at what Penn State has done so far this season and tell you why Penn State may turn into a pumpkin before the night is over.
Plus we look at some other pivotal games from across the nation as teams try and get their game in before the calendar turns from October to November with Halloween almost here. And there is some time to talk about the first College Football Playoff rankings that will drop early next week.
That and so much more, don;’t miss out on the Big Me Kickoff.

Buckeyes, Big Ten, Last Meals and so much more Oct 21, 2021
    Show notes

It is a wide open Big Me Kickoff show as we are letting you pick the topics that we are going to talk about. Of course we are going to talk about the Buckeyes but there is plenty more on the table including what's on your Thanksgiving table? Who do you like in the Big Ten? Are there any top-10 upsets brewing for this weekend of games? What might your last meal be? It is a wide range as the questions were coming in fast. Don't miss out on this edition of the Big Me Kickoff show that was recorded LIVE on Thursday afternoon.

Can anyone keep up with the Buckeyes in the second half? Oct 15, 2021
    Show notes

The Buckeyes finished the first half of the season at 5-1 and now have an open week to sit and contemplate what has happened and determined who they will be for the second half of the season. The Ohio State schedule will get more difficult as non-conference games are in the rearview mirror and league play is front-and-center with games against Penn State, Michigan State and Michigan all in the next six games, all three teams currently ranked in the top-10 of the AP poll.
What can we expect from the Big Ten race as things move forward? What can we expect from the rest of college football? We join a longtime friend, Braden Gall of Athlon Sports and ESPN Radio to get his views on what we have seen, what is next and a whole lot more.
Braden has taken some heat with where he has ranked the Buckeyes all season long, why is that and will he keep doing so? Can chaos interrupt college football or will we see a familiar four teams, including the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff?
Plus, we talk about our own dream team from more than a decade ago as we were all part of a deep bench in a separate media venture.
All of that and more, don’t miss out on this edition of the Big Me Kickoff show, Open Week edition.

We set for a weekend of chaos or just more of the same? Oct 01, 2021
    Show notes

The Big Me Kickoff puts the entire week of college football in focus with Bill Bender of The Sporting News. Sure, the Buckeyes are off to Rutgers to take on the Scarlet Knights, but the line is still north of two touchdowns and Ohio State is not going to lose to Rutgers.
    Right?
Well, this might be one of the better Rutgers teams that we have seen since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten. We talk about what Ohio State needs to do in this one and if the Buckeyes are still ‘The Team’ in the B1G.
Speaking of the B1G, there are some big games this week, something has got to give in the game between Wisconsin and That Team Up North. What can we expect there as well as a game between Indiana and Penn State, a game that launched Indiana into being a B1G contender last year and sent Penn State into a losing skid.
And nationally, there is plenty to talk about there with some top-10 matchups, can a favorited Cincinnati team take down Notre Dame? How about Arkansas against UGA? And of course, there is that game between Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide and Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels.
All that and more in the Big Me Kickoff, don’t miss out on a single word.

So You Got Your Quarterback Change... Now What? Sep 23, 2021
    Show notes

Ohio State Football got some interesting news on Thursday when head coach Ryan Day announced that quarterback CJ Stroud likely would not be starting or playing against Akron, opening the door for either Kyle McCord or Jack Miller to start the game as Stroud nurses a sore shoulder. What does this mean for the Buckeyes moving forward? Sure, it is just Akron and Ohio State Football is a seven-touchdown favorite, at least in this one. Does this open the door for a quarterback controversy? What happens if the understudy looks really good? Or what happens if the understudy struggles? Join Kevin Noon and Tom Orr as they look at all of this in this edition of the Big Me Kickoff.

Getting Nerdy On How to Fix the Buckeyes Sep 17, 2021
    Show notes

Ohio State Football is just a little more than 24 hours away from its third game of the season but at this point nobody is ready to move on to Tulsa and the focus remains on the loss to Oregon and the problems that have emerged through the first two games of the season. Can this team salvage things on the defensive side of the ball and are things not as rosy as they look on offense despite a lot of yards gained?
We bring in a longtime friend with Josh of College Football Nerds to talk about some of the numbers behind the Ohio State Buckeyes through just eight quarters of football. Can you repair the engines of a plane that is already at 35,000-feet? What changes need to be made and will the Buckeyes be the last team standing in the Big Ten?
All of that and more in the Big Me Kickoff. Check it out.

We are joined by Sean Williams as he talked about the 2021 edition of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. What should Buckeyes fans expect out of their first opponent? Can Tanner Morgan and Mo Ibrahim lead the home team to a shocking upset of the Buckeyes or will problems from 2020 stick around and keep the Gophers underground?
