The other OG of the OC, Jeana Keough, steps Behind The Rope. Stepping out from behind the gates of Coto de Caza, Gina is here to talk about what "The Housewives" was like back in the day, Season One, Episode One Of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Gina was there when it all started with Vicki, Jo, Lauri, and Kimberly. Gina talks about what the casting and filming process was like during the hey day of Bravo and just how much it has changed in present day. We discuss some of her other co-stars during her five year tenure as a RHOC cast member: Tamra Judge, Lynne Curtin, Gretchen Rossi and Tammy Knickerbocker. We also discuss the current cast who Gina also knows well: Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson. We discuss that “other” housewife, or should we say “househusband”, Slade Smiley and check in on Gina’s family Kara, Shane and Colton following the passing of Dad Matt earlier this year. Finally, we discuss BravoCon, that infamous OG Panel, and her new friend to come out of it all, Adrienne Maloof. Nostalgia at its best!

Cat Ommanney (The Real Housewives of DC) Nov 10, 2020
    Show notes

The Real Housewives of DC’s Cat Ommanney steps Behind The Rope. Checking in from her current home in Majorca, Spain, Cat is here to tell it all. With The Real Housewives of DC having been re-aired during a Marathon on Bravo earlier this year, Cat gets reminiscent about what it was like to film the one season wonder and how she felt after the show aired. She explains how life changed after the show came out and what is it like to still be recognized today all these years later. Cat shares her feelings on her cast-mates Mary Amons, Linda Erkiletian, Stacie Scott Turner and last, but certainly not least, Michaele Salahi (now Schon) and fills us in on the status of those relationships today. On a more serious note, Cat discusses the issues of racism and politics that were ever present during the RHODC season. Of course, we address how the show was impacted by the worldwide, viral country security breach of the Salahi's “crashing” The White House Dinner. We discuss the implications of having production temporarily shut down, the involvement of the FBI, the federal investigation not only into the Salahis but Bravo as well, and why the show was not “green lit” for a much needed second season. Oh hey there Michaele and Tareq. Finally, we discuss the epic RHODC reunion, how Andy Cohen handled himself under the eyes of federal scrutiny and how it was one of “the longest days” of Cat’s life. In typical Cat fashion, nothing is held back and we wouldn’t expect anything less.

    Show notes

The Real World Boston’s Syrus Yarbrough steps Behind The Rope. Checking in from his home in Cali, where he is currently running his booming Clothing Company, “Black Designer Clothing”, Syrus is here to discuss it all. We start at the beginning. Syrus tells us how he got cast on The Real World Boston as a result of a job interview gone horribly wrong. Being no stranger to the cameras, he was a semi-regular on Baywatch, yes we discuss Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, Syrus said yes to the opportunity and soon found himself living in a converted firehouse in Boston with 7 strangers to find out what happens when they stopped being polite and started getting real. Real is exactly what Syrus got with roommates Genesis, Kameelah, Montana, Elka, Jason and Sean, which we discuss, as well as the status of those “friendships” today. Syrus discusses what filming was like with MTV back in the day when there were basically no other reality shows to compare it with and just how “real” The Real World MTV was. Syrus also opens up about his bad boy “playa” image that was projected on TV and discusses just how true to reality that image was and / or is. When the show ended, Syrus ended up playing a huge part in the success of MTV’s “The Challenge” which he discusses, as well as what life was like, in general, after the show ended. We dive deep in to what it is like being in The Real World/The Challenge “family”, the good, the bad, the other. Being a fan of reality TV himself, Syrus enlightens us on what some of his favorite current shows are as well as his surprise ties to Bravo with several fellow Real World alumni. Last, but certainly not least, Syrus tells us about a run in at the MTV Video awards with not only JLO, but backstage with Queen Madonna. Cyrus spares no detail. We just cannot! Tune in for this nostalgic trip down memory lane as we pay homage to the granddaddy of all reality shows, The Real World!

Very Cavallari's Kelly Henderson (Sets The Record Straight on Kristen Cavallari / Jay Cutler Friendship) Nov 02, 2020
    Show notes

Kelly Henderson, from Very Cavallari, steps Behind The Rope. First things first, we chat with Kelly about her busy Celeb Styling / Men’s Grooming business with clients such as Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean & Bobby Bones and her booming Podcast “Velvet’s Edge”. Ok, now onto what everyone wants to talk about. Kelly is here to set the record straight on the fall out of her relationship with Kristin Cavallari. The fallout that was seen throughout the last season of Very Cavallari. Kelly takes us back to when she first met Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari. She elaborates on the roots of that friendship, a friendship that existed for many years prior to being on a TV show together with the now broken up “power couple”. Speaking of that hit TV show, Kelly explains how she became a part of Very Cavallari, what filming was like and what she thought of her edit, once the show aired. Kelly breaks down the timeline for us of when she first heard the “rumors” that she was involved with Jay Cutler, the public’s reaction to that “rumor”, Jay and Kristen’s reaction to that rumor, and their “friend group” reaction to that rumor. She explains how Producers then got involved with that “rumor” and what was expected of her during the last season of Very Cavallari and why she ultimately decided to walk away from the show. Kelly ponders whether Kristin was really upset at her for these rumors or was just trying to make a dramatic TV show. We deep dive into the online, and in person, hate and bullying she received after being labeled a “home wrecker”. She explains how the announcement of Kristin and Jay’s divorce a few short months ago made matters even worse and how she is coping with all of this today. Finally, Kelly tells us what she would say if she ran into Jay or Kristin today and answers the question, do you miss your friend? Tune in to this open and honest chat as Kelly Henderson sets the record straight on just what went down during the demise of her friendship with Kristin Cavallari.
