Show notes

Johnny 5 is alive for another movie and this time he is rolling around Unnamed US City looking for input. The only other cast member coming back from the original was Fisher Stevens as Ben, and this time they added Michael McKean to the mix. #90 47 Ronin (2013) Jan 20, 2023

Show notes

One year before he would become John Wick, Keanu Reeves starred in this retelling of a true story that absolutely bombed at the box office. Critics almost universally panned it, but audiences have been split. Today we go through this thing scene by scene and ultimately try to determine if this movie is just straight trash, or actually good. At the very least, it could just be a bad movies that rules.

#89 The Rookie (1990) Jan 13, 2023

Show notes

Clint Eastwood teamed up with pre-Tiger Blood Charlie Sheen to take on a German (?) Raul Julia and Sonia Braga. This one sticks out as the rare Eastwood-directed film to not be treated well by critics, but with such an amazing cast and director, how can it possibly be bad? Besides, this movie has one of the craziest scenes we've ever seen!

#87 Condorman (1981) Dec 30, 2022

Show notes

Disney wanted to make a movie about a globe-trotting super spy, but instead of a tuxedo-wearing martini-drinker, they went with a pajama-clad super hero wannbe. Sounds like a fantastic choice on paper, but in execution did it work? James, Curt, Joe and Mueller all do their best to walk through this gem and see if it's a Bad Movie that rules.

#85 Solarbabies (1986) Dec 16, 2022

Show notes

Solarbabies is a sports-themed (?) post apocolyptic young adult fantasy about roller skating adolescents who befriend a giant marble. Yes, the premise is crazy, but is it a bad movie? It does have it's charms, and here Mueller, James and Mel all try to see if it's actually any good. How bad could it be if Jami Gertz is in it?
