#104 The Wrong Guys (1988) Apr 28, 2023

Show notes

Looking to cash in on the 80's trend of stand-up comedians starring in movies, The Wrong Guys scours the C-list for a film about a group of grown men trying to relive their Cub Scout glory days. But in reality, it's just a story about a six-foot-tall man-baby almost getting himself and his friends killed by John Goodman in the woods.

Starring Louie Anderson, Richard Lewis, and John Goodman, the movie is a mess of awkward jokes, cheesy slapstick humor, and wooden acting. Still, it has its charms and features a bonkers final 30 minutes.

So grab your popcorn and get ready for a wild ride as we dive into the world of The Wrong Guys. Will it just be bad or is it a bad movie that rules?

But is there breakdance fighting and an unhinged Lou Diamond Phillips? Yes. But is that enough to make this a bad movie that rules? #102 Tremors 2: Aftershocks (1996) Apr 14, 2023

Show notes

We dive back into the Dirt Jaws franchise with the sequel to Tremors except for this time Kevin Bacon and Reba were busy doing literally anything else. Fred Ward leads this time out, and Michael Gross is always there waiting outside the producer's door ready for the green light. Does this sequel deserve to be called a bad movie? Or does it rule?

Show notes

Since it's April Fool's week (it didn't land on the day this year, sue us), we continued the tradition we started last year by reversing course and reviewing a movie that doesn't qualify as a bad movie. But should it? We tackle the Sylvester Stallone & Wesley Snipes Sci-fi Action hit of the '90s, Demolition Man. Simon Says: LISTEN!

#99 Rubber (2010) Mar 24, 2023

Show notes

This is the movie that is brought up almost every time I tell people we have a bad movie podcast. They seem to believe this to be the perfect bad movie. Watching Rubber (2010) is an experience, but we're not sure it's a good one, but maybe one best suited for torturing your friends. Is there anything redeeming about this killer tire movie? Listen and find out!
