Ep. 881: How Adventure Helps Us Start Over - Revisited - Sara Schulting-Kranz Nov 17, 2022
    Show notes

Adventure coaching: Sara Schulting-Kranz's transformation after her husband's infidelity revelation and past trauma, founding Live Boldly Coaching to share nature's healing power, guiding a Guinness World Record Grand Canyon rim-to-rim-to-rim run for blind athlete Shawn Cheshire, and inspiring bold living from mountaintops in red high heels.

    Originally aired - February 22, 2019

Seven years ago, Schulting-Kranz was living her life very much within the box. She hosted parties, watched her kids play sports, paddle boarded on the gorgeous coast of California near her home when one day her husband of 17 years admits he's been unfaithful to her for the last 14 years and came out as gay.

Her life deteriorated in front of her eyes as she realized everything had to change. Not only was the news devastating, but it also rehashed old memories of being raped at 17 years old, which led to her first son.

Sara didn't wallow in her sorrow but took the opportunity to pursue her dream to live a life connected to the outdoors and to show the healing power of nature to as many people as she possibly could.

Thus, Live Boldly Coaching was born and her story of pain has become one of strength and compassion with all sorts of adventures, like earning a Guinness World Record for leading her friend Shawn Cheshire to record the fastest rim-to-rim-to-rim run across the Grand Canyon by a blind person.

No matter where she goes, she can now be found on mountaintops all around the country wearing a glamorous pair of bright red high heel shoes.

Get out there and live boldly.

Ep. 878: Helping Others Find Careers in Adventure - Revisited - Courtney Condy Nov 08, 2022
    Show notes

Adventure travel guiding: Courtney Condy's life-changing path from corporate job to surviving the 2015 Nepal earthquake on Everest Base Camp Trek, leaving her desk job to guide adventures worldwide, and launching Occupation Wild to help others find dream adventure careers beyond 9 to 5.

    Originally aired - December 21, 2018

Courtney Condy graduated college in 2013 and jumped right into the corporate sector thinking she would have time later to travel and pursue her adventures. She was wrong.

After finding inspiration from a friend and none from her job, she finally booked an Everest Base Camp Trek in 2015. On that journey, she ended up almost dying in the April 25 Nepal earthquake. It was an adventure, to say the least. It changed her whole life to the point she opted out of her desk job and started working as an adventure travel guide all over the world.

Earlier this year after seeing a gap in the adventure career market she decided to break away from her job, once again, to launch her own company, Occupation Wild, where he hopes of helping others find their dream job and live life beyond 9 to 5.

    Show notes

Surfing: Malia Manuel's journey from early childhood on Kauai, introduced to the waves by her laid-back surfing parents, to pursuing competitive surfing against their relaxed approach and becoming a standout in the sport.
