    Rock Climbing: A climber recounts the wild early days of the sport's golden era, chronicling its growth from adolescence to maturity alongside some of climbing's most influential figures.

    Jeff has always had a passion for climbing and writing. After a whirlwind of experiences in the ‘70s and ‘80s Jeff moved on to a professional career in law as he recounted his epic youth and continued his adventures in the outdoors through hiking and writing guidebooks.

    He sits on the Seattle’s Camp Long Advisory Council and is the founder of Camp Long’s annual Mountain fest, which celebrates Seattle’s climbing history and culture.

    His most recent project, Hangdog Days, recalls the stories of his days of traveling from one climbing area to the next witnessing many firsts and getting to know some of the most influential personalities in climbing history all while watching the sport as a whole grow from adolescence into full maturity.

The first time was with NASA scientists testing the software to control Robonaut in a zero-G environment.     Sailboat Racing: Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac ("the Mac") with Sara Stone.

    Sara is a professional sailor competing at the highest level of the sport. She transitioned out of a career in epidemiology when, upon learning about all-female sailboat racing teams, she answered the call to adventure. With a diverse inshore and offshore racing resume and experience in a variety of roles, Sara is known for her teamwork, clear communication, and precision on the racecourse. Off the water, she shares her knowledge through coaching, public speaking and mentorship.

    Skiing: Valérie Gagné, Ray Zahab, Kevin Vallely Cross Baffin Island on Skis – 7-Day Arctic Expedition Post-Ray's Cancer Diagnosis and Chemo. In February, Valerie, Ray Zahab, and Kevin Valley crossed a section of Baffin Island in the Canadian arctic on skis. A 7-day expedition was made even more impressive since Ray was accomplishing this adventure after being diagnosed with cancer in September and going through chemo treatments.

    Valérie has been an athlete all her life, competing in cross-country skiing and rowing internationally. Since retiring from high performance sports, Valérie has competed in various ultramarathons and has been on multiple expeditions to some of the most remote places on earth, including the Atacama desert and the Canadian Arctic. Valérie has also guided expeditions in the Canadian Rockies, Siberia and Death valley for various non-profits organizations, and for renowned adventure companies including National Geographic and Kapik1 expedition company.

    Valerie's goal through crossing Baffin Island on skis was to inspire people to reach beyond their perceived limits, get out there and accomplish what they thought might be impossible.
