This week we speak with Eric McMahon. Eric has been in vocational ministry for 16 years as a missionary, youth pastor, and church planter. He is currently serving as pastor of a church plant called Watershed Church. Having fought for Racial Reconciliation within the church his entire career, he is a charter member of the Culture Ethic and Justice Coalition which seeks to be a prophetic voice to the church issues of race and justice. Eric is married to his High School sweetheart, Christy, they have 5 amazing children who all still live at home. The story of Eric’s life reads like a novel: moving a lot as a child, making and leaving friends, finding his voice and his footing all while doing his best to trust God in the highs and the lows of life. Eric is kind, intelligent, compassionate, down-to-earth, relatable, and hysterically funny (a pretty great combination for the call God has on his life). Sara lives a truly accomplished life, and yet, at a moment when she was so focused on these worldly accolades and achievements, God loved her enough to interrupt her life with the truth that she so desperately needed to hear. Her story is one of inner struggle. She had a deep need to prove her self worth and I think we can all relate to that in one way or another. You won't believe all of the twists and turns her life has taken, and yet, looking back, God was always with her.
