Girl On A Mission – Journey To Financial Freedom

Have you been asking how do I get out of debt? Save for a down payment on a house? Fix my crappy credit? Learn to live within my means and stop living paycheck to paycheck? These are just some of the big questions that we dig into on the Podcast. In addition to mini-lessons in saving money every month with step-by-step instruction, each episode is designed to help you take immediate action on the most important strategies for paying off debt, living life while managing to create a budget that isn't restrictive, and making your money work for you while helping clean up your credit and live a life you love! Nichole is invested in her community and the women she serves. She has lived through repairing her own crappy credit, paycheck to paycheck living and spending WAY beyond her means which gives her an edge and an understanding that others in this space just do not understand. Nichole will not tell you "cut your cable, stop spending money on your hair and nails, and give up your daily Starbucks!" Instead, she will give you the tools to take action and overcome your current situation so that you can make a solid plan and begin to live a life you love. A life where you stop putting everything on a credit card... unless you WANT to, but not because you HAVE to and a life that is filled with peace and contentment, not stress every time you look at your bank account. Those Who Were There: Voices from the Holocaust

Survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust are the subjects of “Those Who Were There,” a new podcast from Yale University’s Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies. The podcast is narrated by Eleanor Reissa, actress and Yiddish theater director, and historical oversight by Professor Samuel Kassow. “Those Who Were There” podcast features audio from videotaped interviews conducted between 1979 up to the present. "Back in 1979, video was regarded as a remarkable, groundbreaking technology for documenting the experiences of survivors. The testimonies that resulted were and remain very powerful,” said Stephen Naron, director of the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies. “Today, by adapting our holdings to the podcast format, we have an opportunity to bring these intimate personal accounts of Holocaust survivors and witnesses to a world-wide listenership. After all, only a fraction of our more than 4,400 testimonies have ever been viewed. Every voice, every story is important, and the podcast is a chance to provide a public space for each survivor, one episode at a time.” The podcast’s first season will feature 10 episodes, including accounts from Jewish survivors, non-Jewish witnesses and liberators. The memories shared express a wide range of experiences before, during and after the Second World War by those who experienced it. Still, it is only a small glimpse into the thousands of stories held in this diverse archive. Read More
