Episode 32: Proud to be Fangirls with writer and podcaster Angie Fiedler Sutton Jan 22, 2019
    Show notes

Angie Fiedler Sutton walks us through her professional fangirl journey: from fangirling over Martin Freeman to crafting a master’s thesis around geeky topics, to developing her own podcast, G33K Out. Angie’s passion for geek media is fueled not only by her own interests and work in the arts, but also through her educational pursuits in journalism, with a focus on art and popular culture. We unpack and explore why she hesitated to call herself a fangirl because of the negative connotations around the word, the differences in how men and women engage with fandom, and the importance of reclaiming the term.
