As humans, we let guilt, shame and judgment keep us from showing up and showing out in business and life. To hinder us from living fully and from taking the actions needed to level up. Especially in times of tragedy or in a world of never ending bad news. Sometimes we can’t shake the heaviness and hopelessness. We feel guilt promoting what we do to make money and we shrink at the possibility of judgment- classic Imposter Syndrome. What is your “what if”? The thing that you really want and dream about. It keeps you up night and you daydream about it while you drive. Do you think about it daily and play out how it will happen? Put in the time over time? Or do you have a “if it’s meant to be - it will be” or “maybe next month” kind of approach? When we are given the same tools, opportunity and experiences - no talent necessary - it’s what we do with it that counts. Not just in the short term but in the long game. Motivation doesn’t last. Vision does. Action gets you there. And if you are not concerned about whether or not you hit the goal or make the vision happen- it won’t. No more excuses. Humans are prolific excuse makers. But those excuses will never improve our lives nor our bank accounts- am I right? I am. And we can come up with an endless stream of them and allow those dream killers to keep us from the results we desire and to believe that our success is optional. When we do this, we open the door to resentment- even when we don’t realize it. But the good news is- through awareness we can change, shift our energy, who we surround ourselves with, manifest our dreams and simply choose better.
