    Create Your Journey Within with Kelly Smith Jul 28, 2022

    Kelly Smith is a globally celebrated yoga and meditation teacher, E-RYT 500 /YACEP, founder of Yoga For You, and host of the iTunes chart-topping podcasts, Mindful In Minutes and Meditation Mama.
    Kelly specializes in the non-physical limbs of yoga and is best known for her master trainings in meditation, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra and her international retreats.
    Kelly’s earliest experience with yoga was physically stretching to train as a college athlete. Kelly even skipped Savasana at the end of yoga classes – she would roll up
    her matt and walk out the door!
    But when Kelly turned 16, her mom was diagnosed with cancer. That’s when she had her first exposure to slower, more mindful yoga practices. As her mom’s primary caregiver, she began joining her for restorative and gentle yoga. These sessions not only brought them closer, but they also were Kelly’s first experience of any yogic benefits outside of
    flexibility and mobility.

    Master the Art of Listening Jul 27, 2022

    Most people think that effective communication is only about talking. But that is just half of a conversation. Most often, people forget the other part, which is learning to be a good listener is the other half.
    Most of us are good at talking, but when it comes to listening to the other person, we fall short.
    If you want great and effective conversations, you must master the art of becoming a good listener.
    When you pay attention to what others are saying, it helps you understand the other person's perspectives, have better conversations, and allows you to provide them with better solutions.
    By becoming a good listener, you start having more fulfilling and transparent conversations. It can also reduce the chance of misunderstandings.
    How often have you experienced having a conversation and later not being sure what the conversation was about or maybe realized that you skipped some critical points of the discussion?
    Lack of paying attention to what others are saying is the primary reason.

    She is a "Super Founder" and brand builder with over 25 years of experience building B2C and B2B internet businesses. She is best known for her 10+ years leading TRUSTe (now TrustArc), the leading privacy trust mark and compliance provider, and as Co-Founder and first General Manager of Match.com.
    

    Fran speaks widely on several topics relating to women in business, including opportunities for women in the collaborative economy, addressing the lucrative family travel segment, women in entrepreneurship and on boards. She serves as an advisor to many start-ups including Portfolia, Women’s Start-up Lab, Sign-up.com, Kango, and Dabbl.
